Don't let this company destroy your home.

We used Cura Maids for cleaning services and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience after a toilet overflow caused significant water damage to our home.

The toilet had been working normally before the cleaning. After the cleaners left, we discovered it clogged and overflowing, with water spreading from the bathroom into the hallway and living room. We immediately contacted Cura Maids and had a plumber inspect the toilet.

The plumber was unable to recreate the clog or retrieve an obstruction, but documented in his report that it appeared something had been flushed during the cleaning, causing a clog, and that a sticking toilet handle contributed to the toilet continuing to run and overflow.

Cura Maids turned the matter over to their liability insurance carrier, The Hartford. Hartford ultimately denied the claim, stating there wasn't enough evidence to establish that Cura Maids caused the incident. We disagree with that determination and are continuing to address the damage through the appropriate channels.

What disappoints us most is that we trusted this company inside our home. Regardless of the insurance company's decision, we're now dealing with mitigation, damaged flooring and the disruption that comes with a homeowners insurance claim. After this experience, we simply don't have the level of trust necessary to continue using Cura Maids and have canceled our recurring service.

I can only share what happened in our home and what was documented afterward, but based on our experience, I cannot recommend Cura Maids.
