Couldn't add installation and recycling…
Couldn't add installation and recycling to basket when I tried buying a new TV. Customer services said that option not offered for anything under 50 inches. When contacting the firm Curry's recommended they don't offer recycling and quoted £109. No thank you. Went elsewhere.

Very helpful and informed choice thanks…
Very helpful and informed choice thanks to the sales lady who knew her product,
Easy peasy.
The items l needed were easy to order. They were available for collection within a couple of days. Collection was quick and easy in-store.
Be Warned about 3yr warranty on product packaging
Be Warned about eye catching 3yr warranty boldly printed on Daewoo packaging of, in my case, Barista Espresso Maker! Purchased at Currys Store, Poole.
The T&C's required to qualify for Daewoo extended warranty are not so easy to find or will ever be made clear to you at the point of purchase from whichever store you buy it from both in person or online.
Failure to do so and you get faced with a brick wall from Currys (and Daewoo) if the product becomes faulty after the initial 1 yr guarantee by Currys.
Section 9 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015: goods must be of satisfactory quality, including being sufficiently durable. Currys are deaf to all that pertains to consumer rights!...as where Daewoo too.

Bought a HP Smart tank6005 printer disaster
Bought a HP Smart tank6005 printer. Advertised in store with a free pack of HP paper and £30 cashback.
At the till I asked about the paper straight away. The assistant seemed to ignore the question and carried on processing the payment. Then I asked about the cash back. He speaks to a manager through his headset. We don’t do cashback. Yes you do,it’s advertised on the display. He now asks a different manager in person. We don’t do cashback. I’m getting exasperated at the combined lack of knowledge.
Yes you do, it’s advertised over there. Oh that. We don’t do it , you need to go online.
By now, I’d lost the will to live and accepted that I’d have to find out myself.
Can I have the pack of paper please.
What paper? The free paper that’s advertised next to the printers.
He speaks to manager again. We can’t go around giving free paper to customers.
I’m lost for words now.
I went and took a photo of the display and went back to the till.
He speaks to manager again.
Oh you should have asked for it before paying.
I am lost for words. I did but was ignored.
Well we’ll have to reverse the whole sale and start again.
I was so aghast at the complete and utter lack of knowledge and customer service, I just walked out. Without the paper!
I wonder if HP know how poorly trained the Curry’s
staff are with regard to their product offers ?
Nice cut and paste reply Shauna, Customer care is obviously not Curry’s strong point. I’ll buy the paper myself in Tesco then.

You have to search around for a member…
You have to search around for a member of staff to help you. Having tracked one down, you are then put in a queue system before getting the customer service you’d expect. Even though the shop is not busy and there are numerous members of staff, standing around, seemingly doing nothing!
Edit: And the reply from Curry’s is the same automated reply that everyone gets! Do they actually take note of these comments?!
