Age Discrimination....? If this is the case - Shame on you, Curry's
Age Discrimination....?
Attempted to purchase a fridge/freezer online. Entered date of birth - 1941. Curry's asked me to enter a VALID DOB! Why? Spoke with Curry's so called Customer Service. They insisted that I go to the store to make the purchase! Why, Curry's?
SUMMARY: Curry's refused to accept my valid DOB, and instructed an 85 year old female, who chose to make the purchase online for convenience, to go to the store to make the purchase for no good reason that I am able to determine. Is this age discrimination - appalling way of conducting business with the elderly.
Would be interesting to hear Curry's excuse for this appalling policy.

Currys does not have an age restriction that would prevent customers from making purchases based on their date of birth. It may be that there was an issue with how the information was entered or a technical error during the checkout process.

Buying and installing a fridge was made easy
I tried another well known supposedly high service retailer and after three days they couldn't even take my money. So I did it in ten minutes with Currys. Nick was knowledgeable and helpful and the website was quick and easy. Fridge now installed. Nice.
