Expensive service, poor quality, and disappointing customer service
I had previously visited this salon for a hair color treatment, and I was happy with the result. Unfortunately, my later experience with braids for my best friend's wedding was completely different.
The braiding service was performed by the owner. Before the appointment, I showed a reference photo of exactly what I wanted and was assured it could be done.
Unfortunately, the final result looked nothing like the hairstyle I had requested. Considering how expensive the service was, I was shocked by the quality. I was so unhappy with the braids that I removed them the very same night because I couldn't imagine attending the wedding with them. Removing them immediately caused my hair to become tangled and damaged, and I had to spend additional time and money finding another hairstyle before the wedding.
I contacted the salon, explained my concerns, and showed photos comparing what I had requested with what I received. I felt my concerns were dismissed.
After further discussions, the owner offered me a hair treatment and hair extensions as compensation, so I agreed. However, once the treatment were finished, I was told I would no longer receive the promised hair extensions because the treatment was considered sufficient compensation. That was not what we had agreed, and I left feeling misled.
The most disappointing part of this experience wasn't only the quality of the braids it was how the complaint was handled afterward. I trusted the owner with my hair for an important occasion, but I left feeling that neither the service nor the resolution reflected what had been promised.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the braiding service or how my complaint was handled.
