I wish we’d read these reviews before we used Dartmoor Auctions. We weren’t given an invoice for our goods. They broke up collections to sell. They “lost” 3 volumes of very old medical books, and weren’t particularly bothered. No reserves allowed unless agreed by them and were charged for.
The auction, which we listened to online was a joke, it was rushed and it seemed that they just wanted rid of our goods at any price and as quick as possible.
Collection Charges exorbitant and don't expect an explanation. Don't expect to be paid a month after the auction. It could be months. I sold £551 in]Marchand May25 and was paid 9 months later. Collection £300 + Vat + Comm Fees + Vat. Got advice from Citizen's Ad. and got £163 back. Be prepared for a long haul.
Terms & Conditions - a Joke.
I was charged £20 'storage fee' for a small box of porcelain.
I had been in hospital during and following the sale and was unable to collect.
First time in my 48 years in the trade I had ever been charged a 'storage fee'
Sold items on this service via Dartmoor Auctions it has taken me 14 months and a lot of complaining to get a payment my advice is don't let Dartmoor Auctions sell anything for you
