Appalling...

Worst ever experience dealing with Darty. Truly appalling customer service. Requested a refund for never delivered goods and went to Boulanger instead. Happily ever after.

After Sales Service is appalling

After Sales Service is appalling, our two month old dishwasher broke down and Darty have kept us waiting for three weeks for a part to repair the appliance, not an acceptable response, also unable to post reviews on the Darty site, its no wonder with their bad service.

Now four weeks and no contact from Darty, their automatic update service say they are awaiting the part from Bosch and the next intervention will be the 4/9, STAY AWAY FROM DARTY UNLESS YOU LIKE WASHING UP.

Now six weeks latest is they have revised the repair date to another weeks time, so far six separate notifications of repair and not met.

STAY AWAY FROM DARTY, THEIR AFTER SALES ARE NON EXISTANT.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

For your own sanity do not use this company! We had a 6 week oven door fall of its hinges and the safety glass smash. Dart are refusing to replace it has its customers fault even tho its just over a month old and paid for a 3 year warranty at a extra cost. I will never be using darty ever again!!!

Hideous.

Hideous.

Undoubtedly, the worst attitude to customer service in France, and believe me after 16 years here, that is truly saying something.

Do not go near them, you do not need the stress.

To my face I was informed that I was at fault, and handed a telephone to call Bouyges Telecom. Their voucher scheme simply does not work, their franchisee stores do not accept responsibility. Now merged with FNAC their upper management ignores the customer.

In 2018, these people need to wake up and smell the on-line juggernaut coming down the track. Presumably, all they are bothered about is their pensions. I doubt they will make it to 2020.

Darty is the worst service I have ever…

Darty is the worst service I have ever experienced. Sales are ok but the rest is bad. Generic phone numbers are the worst. You have to pay to call them for their errors. The machines arrive without any modifications that was agreed upon. When they are out of stock they don't tell you and promise delivery the next day and the next day. You can spend 6000 euros but they charge you delivery. People on the phone are not nice and do not even apologize for their errors. It's better off with robots
At least they're not rude. They do not know customer service. Avoid it as much as possible. Do not shop here unless you are taking the product with you.

Samsung Dual Cook Single oven.

Visited the Distre shop ( near Saumur dept 49 ) and ordered a Samsung Dual Cook single oven,we found the staff to be friendly and very helpful and the delivery was on schedule.
We had not expected the oven to installed for us but the delivery driver completed this efficiently and took away all packaging and our old oven.
Super service all round,thoroughly recommended.

Très mauvaise experience avec le SAV de Darty

Le 12 juillet 2017 j'ai acheté un étui Temium Folio pour iPad Pro 9.7 chez Darty à Saint-Martin d'Heres. En l'espace d'un mois, le premier morceau de plastique s'est détaché du bord censé tenir l'iPad. Neuf mois plus tard pratiquement tout le bord a été endommagé. Cela ne dispense que d'une utilisation légère de l'iPad (je l'utilise uniquement pour prendre des notes de réunion au travail environ 2 fois par semaine) et son stockage supplémentaire dans un étui en néoprène Logitec. Clairement un mauvais produit.
J'ai finalement trouvé le temps de retourner au magasin le 9 avril 2018 pour montrer le produit avec le reçu en main. J'ai expliqué au représentant du "service" après-vente que je pensais que Darty devrait en être informé et que Darty pourrait communiquer avec le fabricant ou l'importateur. Au lieu d'être apologétique, et clairement inconscient de la loi européenne et vide de toutes les bonnes manières, le représentant m'a ri au nez en affirmant qu'il n'y avait aucune garantie sur ce produit et a refusé de prendre note de ma mauvaise experience avec ce produit.
Étant donné le prix (20 EUR) et sentant que c'était de toute façon une affaire perdue pour essayer d'engager la personne en question dans une conversation plus intelligente, je l'ai laissé là et j'ai commandé un nouveau, meilleur (et moins cher!) étui en ligne. Pas besoin de retourner à Darty!

July 12, 2017 I bought a Temium Folio case for iPad Pro 9.7 at Darty in Saint-Martin d'Heres. Within one month the first piece of plastic broke off from the edge that is supposed to hold the iPad. 9 months later practically the entire edge has been damaged. This dispite only light use of the iPad (I use it only for to take meeting notes at work) and its additional storage inside a Logitec neoprene case. Clearly a bad product.
I finally found time to return to the store on April 9, 2018, to show the product with the receipt in hand. I explained the customer "service" representative that I thought this was something that Darty should know about, and that Darty may want to communicate to he manufacturer or importer. Instead of being apologetic, and clearly unaware of European law and void of any good manners, the representative laughed me straigth in the face claiming that there was anyway no guarantee on this product and refusing to take note of my bad experience with this product ...
Given the price (20 EUR) and sensing that it was anyways a lost case to try to engage the person in question in a more intelligent conversation I left it at this and ordered a new, better (and cheaper!) case on-line. No need to ever return to Darty!

Terrible bought Candy washing machine…

Terrible bought Candy washing machine on line through Darty , next day recieved an e-mail from Darty that Discount 10 were handling the sale !!!
I bought from Darty (a trusted company) NOT Discount10 whoever they are , Machine arrived didnt install or take away old machine!!
SHAME ON YOU DARTY YOU ARE DUPING LOYAL (NOW EX) CUSTOMERS
I will never buy from you again
AND I AM SPREADING THE WORD §§

Better in shops than online

Darty itself is a good place to shop in person with reasonable prices for some things but the online service can sometimes be hit and miss. If you can wait a while for delivery of items it normally works out ok! I had one experience where the item arrived quickly with no problems and one where it didnt arrive for a long time and had to chase after it. Customer service on the phone could be a little nicer, though I have always found the staff in store to be lovely.

I have never had such abysmal service!

I have never had such abysmal customer service in my life from Darty or their 'recommended' partners Electronic-star! On 2nd September my friend ordered a fridge "Acceptation de votre commande n° 79505903_280645-A" This is now 19th November & we dont have that fridge! Your customer service is awful bordering on fraudulent! Why? Simply because you & your partners stated that it was delivered on 4th September & my friend 'D*****a signed for the delivery. She asked for a copy of her signature which showed that it WASN'T signed. We checked the cctv for 4th & also 5th September & NO delivery was made from any company. SORT YOURSELVES OUT!

I'm reviewing Darty in Agen …

I'm reviewing Darty in Agen (Lot-et-Garonne) 47 France. This is a good shop for all your electrical requirements in this department. The staff are helpful and friendly (their could be more around but this is a common problem now).
The Manager knows his stuff and has been there for years. He is very approachable and kind.

Helpful friendly staff.

I placed an order with Darty after an initial order (with a different company) was cancelled due to a problem with their server. I then received an email confirmation & realised I'd bought the same thing twice!

Phoned Darty to see if it was possible to cancel my order & they couldn't have been more helpful (even ended up having a good laugh with the young man, on the Darty help desk, at my predicament & panic!) .

Since then I've always gone to Darty first & have been more than happy with every purchase.

Strange attitude

Wanted to buy a product online (live in France). Couldn't as my card was not issued in-state. Strange.
Then I called and tried to buy via phone. Spent 10 minutes with their service. They also couldn't do the purchase with my card, we decided to make a pick up at the local shop.
Wupti, then she hung up.
No reference number or time to hear my question if my purchase would be a part of their loyalty program.
Feel strange now.

Straaaange attitude.

I called back to hear if they had registred my purchase - nop.

Seller 006023 really not sympa

i just buy samsung galaxy grand prime with seller 006023 at odysseum montpellier, elle est vraiment pas sympa du tout, she really dont have capacité for being seller or what ever it is. Without smile and really cold even she dont care when she put my name on the paper payment, she put n'importe quoi mon nom with really pression because im not good talk french. Im really dispoint darty have people like this inside. I dont know what ever her problem that days, give smile to people and be kind to client who buy something on darty is not kill her self. With your service like that you already put dispoint on the big name of darty company. I will never go buy on darty again. Very dispointed.

darty technitions are incmpetant

i had several items replaced in 2013 due to a insurance claim, our american fridge freezer packed up june this year, they sent out a technition who said it was a faulty compressor.
we had no faith and called out samsung, they sent out a technition who told us that that the temporty tap darty put on was leaking gas and the samsung technition showed ud where the fault was which was inside the fridge freezer and he went on to say that it was not repairable.
i emailed Regis.SCHULTZ the chief ex who had opened his email, but not interested in talking to me.
i would never buy or order anything else from darty.

Nothing special and few special offers

The advantage with Darty is that they have stores in the city centre and they offer free delivery and installation, so great for female singletons. Where I live, you're a bit stuck if you don't have a car so there's not a lot of choice.

My main problem with Darty is the customer service. As with all French shops, it's variable, but I always seem to get the feeling that no-one can really be bothered with the customers. There seem to be gender differences in performance as well. I consistently receive poor service from female sales people.

The company aren't very marketing orientated (no surprise as they're a French company); and really, considering the statistics for people living alone and relocating, they should offer 'relocation packages' or even 'new home' packages. There is no promotional effort e.g. newsletter for offers.

Their prices are not really competitive at Darty and I was told in the store that they never do deals on TVs. I bought a landline phone in the shop next door (same make/model) as it was much cheaper, so they're not very proactive in that area mainly because they have a monopoly in the city centre.

My major item was a Hotpoint Ariston washing machine which they installed. The expert had to come and check the plumbing as it leaked within five minutes of the installers leaving the house. I had to call them back.

To be honest, I wouldn't use them unless I had to.
