The communication about my delivery was excellent. I appreciate knowing when my rose would arrive. That being said, the delivery guy left my rose sideways in the box. Not David Austin's fault! lol... See more

I have purchased over 40 roses from David Austin in Texas. All orders were received in perfect condition. The roses were packed well, all alive and thriving in the Midwest US. The colors and scents are just as described. The performance of David Austin roses is superior to box store brands. The price is as inline with other brands for such quality. I keep buying more.

Rose arrived small and broken. The rose was approximately 5 inches tall The rose had only 5 stems and 3 were broken, barely hanging on. The rose was not big enough or strong enough to be planted much less shipped. The rose was not seated I. The rose was not securely seated in the pot.

I’m happy to receive the roses which were well packaged and healthy!
I’m unhappy that I wasn’t notified that my original order was out of stock.

I received 10 bare-root roses and 2 two-quart roses along with a warranty rose and every plant was healthy and arrived in great condition. I was surprised at how well my 2 quart roses were secured in their shipping containers! Exited to buy more 2 quarts next year! The bare-root roses came out of dormancy beautifully, and all of the roses are growing and thriving. I’m always impressed with my David Austin roses.. I ended up buying 5 more from a local nursery and can’t wait for next years releases 😍😅

I waited quite a long time for my roses. The company has no working phone in order to address orders at all. I finally received two rose bushes in less than ideal condition. I have ordered plants from various companies and they seem to be able to ship plants without damage. Do yourself a favor by the roses from your local nursery. I have been going back and forth with customer service and because my roses bushes are "still alive" even if just barely they will not rectify the situation. I expected a higher bar than "still alive".

I emailed about the way the 2 potted roses I got and no one got back to me about it. One had a branch that was kinda dying (of which it only came with 2 branches) and one had black spots on its leaves. I did end up planting them. But have yet to hear back from you about the quality of the plants. I did send pictures with my first email.

3 WEEKS OF WAITING AND A TOTAL SHOCKER FROM A MAJOR BRAND] 💔
I’ve been eagerly waiting for 3 long weeks for my 2 David Austin (DA) potted roses to arrive. I thought unboxing day would be a joyful one, but opening the box left me completely stunned and horizontal.
I honestly cannot fathom how a world-renowned, major brand could ship out a plant of such abysmal, sub-standard quality:
❌ Stem as thin as a chopstick: Looking at this fragile, weak little cane was just unbelievable. This is absolutely NOT a Grade 1 rose, nor is it anywhere near the healthy, established plant they promise.
❌ Riddled with disease, looking like a zombie: The plant was tightly wrapped in plastic, creating a breeding ground for moisture. It arrived with a severe case of black spot running from the base to the top, with yellowing, infected leaves dropping everywhere. It looked less like a plant and more like a biohazard.
I currently have over 80 healthy, thriving roses in my garden. My goal is to buy quality plants to enjoy, not to pay money to introduce a plague into my yard! To protect my 80+ roses from being infected, I had to make the immediate, decisive call to DISPOSE of and throw this diseased plant away right away before the spores could spread.
I have taken detailed photos as proof and just sent a formal complaint email straight to David Austin's customer support to demand a full refund or a proper, healthy replacement.
I’ll probably head over to Reddit in a bit to post this in the rose gardening communities to see if anyone else has been receiving this kind of "premium-priced garbage" from DA lately. This is completely unacceptable for a brand of their stature! 😡
It is been 4 weeks waiting no response from DA

I was very disappointed with your plant quality on this order. Rose arrived with heavy black spot. Response from customer service was “that’s normal”. I have ordered many roses from you over the years and have never experienced a rose infected like this. I did get a refund, so thankful for that. Ended up ordering a different rose from Heirloom. If this quality is your new normal, you have lost a customer and my recommendation to others.

I received my potted rose less than two weeks of ordering. The package was intact and the rose was moist. I cut off the damaged leaves and I’m excited to see the first bloom!

Plant was a bit smaller than expected but arrived in good condition. So we shall see how it goes

both roses arrived with yellow spots. They look like a poor product for David Austin roses.

Roses were not as healthy as previous orders. Cane with black spots on leaves already!! Potted 2 quart roses had at best an average root system that had not formed a strong root ball either. Very different from my previous orders from david austin. Truly was not impressed

Very disappointed with both the plant quality and customer service.
I received a rose from David Austin that arrived in terrible condition. The plant was covered with yellowing leaves, black spots, and looked stressed and unhealthy right out of the box. This is not what I expected from a premium rose company.
What frustrated me even more was the complete lack of customer support. I tried contacting them through email and through the contact form on their website multiple times and received no response. As a paying customer, I expected at least an attempt to resolve the issue.
The only reason I’m leaving this review here is because it seems to be the only place where the company responds. A company can make mistakes, but ignoring customers when there is a problem is unacceptable.
The rose I received looked nothing like the healthy, high-quality plants advertised. Based on my experience, the customer service has been nonexistent.
I hope David Austin will finally respond and make this right.
