Damaged Materials, Terrible Service

Delivery was prompt, we ordered wet wall panels and flooring. Every wet wall panel arrived damaged at each end corner, meaning each had to be cut at top and bottom, instead of just cutting one end as is the usual process, taking much more time. Half of the flooring was damaged at the corners and unusable, luckily we ordered extra of this.

When I contacted the company I was told the panels could just be cut at top and bottom. Nothing about the flooring. This meant I had to pay a joiner £200 for an extra day's work due to substandard materials and as I have a 3 month baby had to pay £140 for an extra night in a hotel away from the mess.

I was told I'd only be offered a 10% refund if the materials were useable. Unfortunately due to having hotel, joiners, plumbers and electricians booked we had to go ahead with the substandard materials as we were in no position to wait on another delivery. The total for products and delivery was £437. Today I received a refund of £27!

Terrible company, substandard products, terrible customer service. Avoid!

Good pricing and fast despatch

Good pricing and fast despatch. Excellent communication and dealt with replacing damaged goods with no fuss. Their carriers are however poor , convinced damage and shortages were all caused by carriers

Good customer service

Had a big order of cladding some them damaged but company where brilliant and sorted it straight away they could do with better packaging as they damaged easily if not packed right for the price I paid I’m happy with roof and rooms we’ve done would certainly use again

Poor product. Unhelpful seller.

The product is very poor. I put my hand through the shower cladding and my decorator dented it with his ladder. When the product arrived, three panels had been damaged in transit because the packing was so poor. I ended up stripping it off the wall and putting proper tiles up. The seller was extremely unhelpful.

Great panels, great communication, great delivery

This was my first order to this company. I emailed with a query about delivery and received a very prompt and helpful reply. They deliver in their own van, and thanks to the online vehicle tracking I could see when the delivery would arrive. In fact the tracking was so accurate that I opened my front door 10 seconds before the van pulled up outside my house!

The delivery driver was friendly and helpful, and most importantly the panels, trim and sealants that I ordered were all in perfect condition and exactly what I wanted. I'm very pleased with the end result. I will be ordering from DBS again.

Shipping needs improvement

Ordered PVC paneling for bathroom ceiling and nearly every piece arrived cracked at the end so ended up throwing in the bin. I wouldn't recommend ordering if you will be getting your order shipped to Scotland.

Brilliant couldn't ask for better.

This company has excellent choice of wall and ceiling panels. Their delivery is also excellent got an excellent tracking system so you can see where the driver is. The prices I think are very competitive and great value for money I have used them a few times and have always been very satisfied with their products and service. Would definitely recommend to others.

First time i’ve used bathroom panels…

First time i’ve used bathroom panels decided to get from this company order process was fine however if you are going to buy from them I have some advice.
Open and check every single panel luckily I was careful not to waste panels and found 4 panels were damaged on the face, one having a section over printed, as we had quite a lot of panels I didn’t open and check the face of every one and that is a mistake.
2 panels had been dented in the middle of the pack so must have been packed damaged.
I would also say 90% were damaged on the edges simply due to the bad packing for delivery.
They put packing tape round the the thin cardboard and tape it very tight this results in crushing the edges.
You can just about get away with damaged tongue/grooves but it’s pathetic that simple adjustments to packing could avoid the problem.
I finished the job by choosing the right places to utilise the undamaged parts of the bad panels.
If I had purchased from a local store I would have returned the lot due to all the damage.
As This project was time sensitive as selling up I didn’t bother trying to sort out the problem with them as would have been too much delay.

Great Quality, Great Customer Service

Very please with the quality of the 10mm panels and trim.

Having ordered many samples from various suppliers I was shocked at how cheap and flimsy they were (8-10mm)

The panels were rigid and strong and easy to work with, we had a panel on the ceiling and had to cut the holes for the extractor fan.

Kate was very helpful from customer service aswell.

Having read the other reviews, surprised anyone would arrange tradesman without having these materials already there and checked. This is standard when ordering from all suppliers as anything can happen.

All in all a great customer experience.

Ordered Monday

Ordered Monday, with standard delivery 1 - 3 days. I arranged for my plumber to be available for Thursday/Friday latest. After checking my emails for 2 days, I start to get concerned that I have not yet even seen a shipment notification, nowhere close to dispatch. I called this morning, the girl on the phone checked with someone for an update, placing me on hold. After a short time she came back to me to explain that the company had tried ringing me on Tuesday to explain they wouldn't receive the product until Thursday, which would have meant the product would not have been dispatched for a further 2 working days. Falling on the weekend. I don't recall having a missed call, they did not leave me a voicemail or send me an email explaining the situation. I find this kind of service extremely poor. Working in the building trade it is essential that we get informed of these sort of hold ups, as now my plumber is out of work for these days. And the house renovation is on hold. I am currently waiting on a refund confirmation email, so let's hope the company can get this done correctly.

Can't comment on product

Can't comment on product, but I feel I must comment about a few problems I encountered
Paid for panels 21/6 on 1 to 3day delivery,only communication was when I rang dbs only to be given an excuse about delivery service.This happened over the next few days with what seemed a different excuse every time. After losing the job i contacted dbs to cancel and asked for refund, I was told they could deliver half my order the next day but after losing job it was of no use to me and requested a refund again
Once again after servere lack of communication eventually I managed to get a refund sorted by July
I can only say not the most reliable of 1 to 3 day delivery services and a bit of communication from them could go a long way

Really good experience when ordering…

Really good experience when ordering supplies from this company. Some of the panels I ordered were unfortunately smashed when delivered but that was the fault of the courier and not DBS. I called them up and the lady I spoke with was wonderful and a replacement was sent out with no problems whatsoever. I can highly recommend them!

Shower panels - poor delivery and product

Purchased 2 shower panels - first pair arrived damaged in 3 places due to poor packaging - replacements went to an address in a neighbouring road were also damaged. Company initially offered £10 if i kept the damaged panels. I pointed out that I had paid a surcharge of £30 for delivery so that should be refunded and eventually they agreed a £40 refund which i still considered really poor.
When trying to carefully cut the plastic 10mm shower panels they easily splintered and creased. This product whilst lightweight is not strong enough in my view to be fit for purpose in a shower enclosure. Company were not interested in assisting further which is very disappointing. The customer service are good on the phone but poor in actually dealing with issues satisfactorily. Poor product - avoid.

Ordered and paid for next day delivery

Ordered and paid for next day delivery. Received a text to say that they would be with us next day late evening. Send a tracking link that didnt work. Sat in for the two hours next evening (and more just in case). Nothing. No call, no text. I found another (correct reference) for the tracking but it hadnt been updated. I emailed the courier but didnt hear anything back. Next morning I seen that they are now planning to deliver that day late afternoon. I called DBS and they were not the least bit interested. They said they new about the incorrect tracking link but pointed out that when it didnt work I should try and work it out by reading the whole long email and noticing that there was another reference that might work. So it was my fault. Said it was being delivered today. No apology for me sitting in all evening or the delay. Terrible customer service. Dont use.

Trim not white and let down by poor goods and courier service

Previously used on 2 occasions and no problem, however, this time:
Project was revitalising a bathroom 240 miles from home. Ordered all products despite the trims being cheaper (and it turns out better quality and white from pvccladding.com) the majority of panels were manufacturing damaged (dotting and small runs of red and grey) and their trim are poor quality AND NOT WHITE, they are claimed white but are actually light brown as can be seen when fitted with ash white panels. The goods were delayed by the couriers and dbs support staff seemed more concerned at upsetting their couriers than getting my goods delivered. They did provide limited replacements quickly. Will not be using again

No next day delivery

Bought panels on a Thursday, paid the 35 pound for next day delivery, don't hear a word until 8,pm on the Friday saying I would not get them until Monday. Thanks for screwing a contractor over!!
