Huge fall from grace since they were taken over
I never minded sites like these becoming more commercial, as they have overheads and also wouldn't exist if the founders couldn't make some profits. However, since it was taken over by a global e-commerce business (Atolls) the balance has tipped way too far into anti-consumer. Far more promoted 'events' and sponsored deals, which crowd out the genuine value.

The personalisation algorithm clearly favours well-monetised retailers like Amazon, On top of this, the loyalty and creator schemes they have launched - though I am sure well-intentioned - incentivise high volume deal posters to skew towards these well-monetised deals too, exacerbating the problem.

I also suspect a focus on cost-cutting and using Gen-AI more has contributed to the many comments here pointing out the drop in quality of moderation and deal posting by staff.

I read that the founders of the parent company all left in the last couple of years too, which can't have helped - maybe they were putting the brakes on some of more voracious commercialisation.

Deal save offered me a deal on Synx box headphones for 109€. They then informed me after some weeks that these headphones were no longer available and offered me an "upgrade " to ZenoEffer headphones normally 218€. I accepted and then received the very poor quality A70 Fusion headphones worth circa €39/44 ....my request for refund and return are being ignored. Be warned.

For me the best apps for good promotion/deals, never see fake deal and based on the community (I think companies post too but if the deal is good it burns if not 🥶!). Just more rewards for the best Dealabs actors (those who take time to put temperature on deals, to comment and help users, to put good deals only too etc). I think it's really important (more reduction, some gift (not emotes or a star on avatar lol) but something useful for us).

Bad company who just control you to say only what they want, the discount are fake for more than 30% of the post.. and for the rest it's just like 5 euros max of discount ahah, nice joke. I hope you will die

Best application ever. Since I have install it I have save a lot of money. Easy to use. À very useful application where people help each other to but things at the lowest price. For the black friday I was looking for the onkyo 7100 amp and buy it for 790€ which is an incredible price for such an amp.
