I just got back from "The Search" surf…
I just got back from "The Search" surf tour with De Brede Planker in Portugal. Awesome experience!
The tour is set up in a way, so that the 3 surf guides (João, Francisco og Caina), decides on where in Portugal there are best waves for that particular time you are there. That means that you can be surfing anywhere in Portugal - all depending on where the waves are the best.
In our case we were living in Ericeira in a nice hotel and we surfed both south and north of Lisbon. One day we drove all the way down to Sines where we had the waves all for ourselves. And there was also a day where we drove up to Peniche. Most days we were picked up at 6.30 in the morning. Meaning we were all super tired in the evening!:) (Especially due to the fact that you always have 2-3 sessions in the water every day!)
Highly recommend this trip! And it is not like you have to be a pro surfer in order to go. As long as you can paddle out to the lineup yourself - then you are good.
