Fast, simple and cheap
As a lazy investor (spending less than 30 min per month on investing every month) all I can say:
Easy to transfer the money to the platform (via iDeal), small fees on 'core selection' ETFs and that is more than enough for me.
One thing that they could work on is overview of current portfolio. There are way better ways to visualize and present data then how it is done now. :)

3rd World Quality Bank, Unreachable - To be Avoided
I opened a Pension Account and DE GIRO totally mishandled my amount and origin bank account details. They first processed my deposits and then after that sent e-mail telling me the bank account was not authorized (it was a joint account with my husband). I immediately sent a statement from ABN as a proof of joint bank account, and for 10 days I am being ignored by DE GIRO. Not at all the type of bank to build long term relationship like Pension.

DeGiro has competitive transactions costs
DeGiro is a great platform. Transactions costs are still pretty low compared to other brokers. Only downside is the Core Selection (portfolio of ETFs that have low/none transactions costs) being stripped down over the years.
