I used Delivery Quote Compare. com for the first time, to collect an Ebay purchase.

Initially, I was anxious about how the process would unfold.

My experience has been extremely positive from start to finish, both with DQC and the courier,
TMS Transport.

Good communication throughout.

Standard delivery: collection and delivery happened within a few days of accepting quote.

Collection and delivery happened as per the schedule.

Seller very happy: The courier liaised with the seller to arrange a time slot for collection and was helpful and friendly.

Item arrived with us on same day of collection. (Evesham to Plymouth)

Be very careful! Used the site to find a driver to collect my new Camper van as I was in hospital. Paul Atkinson was found. On the face of it so far so good. Paid DQC their commission. Camper was collected and delivered all good so far. Paid Paul Atkinson his fee and my online banking app froze during the transaction. Checked my bank nothing paid so made payment. 24 hours later I realised 2 payments had been made. Tried to contact Paul to no avail. Contacted DQC who made contact. Paul said he had made the repayment. He had not. DQC ultimately said not their problem. They refused to repay the commission as they had fulfilled their contract. Here we are now weeks later and I have to issue Court proceedings to get my money back. All in all a hellish experience.

Professional service from start to finish.
I was informed from the beginning of what was happening. I paid a deposit, the driver collected my item and was courteous as all times with the seller. He delivered when he said he would. Smart, clean, polite, excellent service. Would definitely recommend and use again. I wish everything in life went this smoothly. Thankyou top class service.

We dealt with Gavin at Quinntransport solutions. At first over the phone he came across as a very polite respectful business owner. He told us that our request would be absolutely no problem. He then asked for a £100 deposit we trusting bank transferred the money. We arranged transport to the meeting point we had previously arranged with Gavin and also sorted accommodation because we were travelling over 150 miles to meet. The morning we were ment to leave Gavin just texted to say he was unable to meet, we could rearrange for another day or give us a full refund of the deposit. We chose to take the refund and desperately find someone else to collect the car last minute. This cost us even more money due to it being very last minute. Gavin them attempted to turn his phone off block our numbers view and not reply our messages. Weirdly we sent the deposit to his girlfriend, No business account? Which we found very strange when he began trying to get away without giving the money back I messaged his girlfriend as it was in fact her holding our money, to which Gavin phoned me screaming abuse down the phone threatening to come up to my address. Absolutely vile behaviour. As time goes on I believe he often does this, We have reported it to the police and all company’s he works with. We still don’t have our money. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN WITH YOUR MONEY/CAR shocking behaviour from a man that openly said on the phone “we are a professional company” over the phone. laughable. I found this guy on this page

Very poor. I paid the deposit to DQC and got one price back for the job, collecting a car from the IoW. There was a total lack of communication by the provider. The seller stood waiting for the driver having taken time off work to meet him, to find the transporter, in spite of having a weeks notice had failed to buy ferry tickets and made no effort to communicate this. He claimed it wasnt his fault he couldn't buy tickets and that he wouldnt be doing the job that he entered into an agreement about.
DQC, who in taking my deposit entered into a contract with me, also washed their hands of it saying they had no control over the driver's schedules or timings.
The only reason this is a 2 star rather than a 1 star is that DQC immediately refunded my payment.
So I am back to square one I have a car on IoW which I have paid for in full, and now I have to find a delivery company for it. Zero communcation, zero responsibility

Had my car transported today by Ian Appleton. Great communication and care taken. Very pleased - a job very well done.

Website in a tablet or mobile isn't the easiest to navigate but the car courier I went for was Fantastic. Unfortunately the booking price was over 20% which I think is too much for the 5 day service offered. Would I use this again knowing the booking price? Probably not. Would I use the courier again well that's a 100% yes.

Excellent service fast delivery could not believe it took less than a week from pickup from uk to delivery in New Zealand would recommend to anyone and would definitely use again

I bought a small tree on ebay from Wakefield on the Saturday morning it was picked up and delivered to my house near Barnsley on Wednesday morning . Fantastic service from Robert and his daughter, prompt professional service with great communication - company name sapper2116. I can’t recommend highly enough 5 Stars ⭐️ all the way. Would use again in a heart beat.

Very slick everything worked as expected the driver was polite and courtesy. I had one query and contacted the published number and James answered in seconds and resolved my question on the spot. Would recommend.

Delivery Quote compare LTD start by giving you the customer a fictitious quote. They have no means of being able to supply a delivery with such a quote, yet like they did with me, they will take your money in the form of a deposit hoping that a genuine haulier will step forward and quote a similar amount within 24hrs to carry out your actual delivery, but the odds of getting the job done for the initial price DQC LTD are are so small they are all most non existent. I ended up using one of their competitors and got 6 genuine quotes, admit all a little bit more expensive, but at least they were real quotes, and the job has now been booked to happen the same week. The only problem now is I am having to waste so much of my time chasing the deposit DQC LTD were not really entitled to in the first place.
My Reply: well can you explain how come the job was listed on Friday and by Monday (theoretically 4 days later) not one of the other so called quotes came through to me. And how you call the fixed price a quote makes me laugh, to me the way I look at you should call that an estimate, because you dont have the actual equipment to do the job. You have carefully manipulated your wording so that your customers believe that this is a quote from a genuine haulier, when really its nothing more than your estimate!
No matter how you word it, in my view, you took £37 from me that you were not entitled too or had done anything worthy of earning it!

avoid these con men at all costs took my deposit now cant get in contact with no one to get my money back how can something as bad as this is get away with conning people i will chase these till the end of the earth the worst i have dealt with in 35 years in business

Very efficient service, collected item within 25 hours and delivered on a day that suited me. Communication was good and because the delivery address was unoccupied they kindly called me when they were 15 minutes away so I wouldn’t have to wait in a cold house for the hour long delivery a lot. Would definitely use again.

Update 17 Feb in reply to DQC response - your response is inaccurate, as the customer I DID NOT change the date/or time of vehicle collection/delivery, it was the transporter who wished to move the arrangement outside the originally stated timescale, otherwise they wanted to charge more than the quote because they could not arrange another chargeable job for the return journey.

Simply ignoring all communications from customers who have paid for a service is not acceptable.

Only wish it was possible to give a negative score!

First thing to note is that DQC are only intent on getting their booking fee from you. If there are any problems thereafter with their 'recommended' transporter you have to sort them out for yourself, DQC claim they are only 'an introducer'. Furthermore, they take no responsibility if, through their system, the transporter you choose is completely useless, unsuitable or even downright incompetent.

I booked a transporter through them to collect a car, all within a defined timescale. Transporter subsequently was unable to meet the stated deadline unless I paid more than agreed fee, so the job was 'cancelled'. No other transporter on DQC bid for the job so I requested a refund of the £60 booking fee. That request was ignored, as were all subsequent emails over a period of several weeks. Fortunately, I paid the booking fee via Paypal, so I was able to raise a complaint through them and they refunded my money immediately after investigation.

Subsequently I booked the job through another company (anyvan) who were competitive, communicated superbly and did the job perfectly.

Avoid DQC at all costs, or if you do use them ensure you pay your booking fee via a method which will let you make a claim if DQC and/or its transporters fail to meet their obligations.
