One of the worst International Airlines. left me hanging at the Paris airport along with the rest of the plane ful of passengers from 1500 until 0300. Never again!

Delta SUCKS!
Delta used to be a great airline be. Now, they SUCK!
You can't wear a MAGA hat because even if one person is offended, the captain will make you take it off or they will kick you off the plane.
This is not right at all. Delta can't throw you off because someone doesn't agree with your views.
Does this mean if I get offended if someone is wearing a BLM hat, I can have the captain make them take it off, too?
Somehow, I doubt by that.
Discrimination!
Flight ended in emergency room trip
My son ended up at the emergency room because a passenger dropped his carryon luggage onto my baby's head. No one did anything constructive. I got in touch with their customer service and they told me " we can't do anything for you". So now I have an emergency room bill to pay and the company, that we've been flying with for years preferring it to others, thinking it would be more serious than others, did absolutely nothing. I am disgusted.
Traveling with 2 pets
I booked a flight with the airline over the phone. Bought an extra seat because i was traveling with 2 small chihuahuas and I was assured it’s fine.
When I got to the airport I got denied check in because according to them it’s 1 pet per passenger even if you buy extra seat. Their solution was to leave one of my pets, I don’t know where at the airport or on the street. It was the last flight for the day I got stranded, had to pay for uber and a hotel because their employees are poorly trained and unclear with the rules.
I will never ever fly with delta, hope they go bankrupt
They screw up and no one will make it right
We had a Safari trip planned and 3 different times our seats that we paid for to have extra legroom disappeared from the app. The first 2 times they were able to put us back but since I have limited wifi by the time I noticed the 3rd time they had already given our seats away. Now for the flight home we are stuck in regular economy for an 8 hour flight when we paid for extra legroom seats. Spent 6 hours on the phone calling and texting while my my family was enjoying a safari game drive without me. It was booked through Delta but operated by air france. Delta said contact air france, air france contacted Delta. No one was willing to help. Then said if we wanted to upgrade to business class it would be $4000 per person and we could pay that fee. I do not recommend either airline.
I lost my purse on the plane train in…
I lost my purse on the plane train in Atlanta on Christmas Eve 2025. I was directed to Delta help desk where they showed their concern and were helpful in advising me that they could get me to my destination and back again. They gave me a bottle of water and food vouchers because I had no money. They also instructed me on how to check airport lost and found.
I flew out of ATL Jan 12-18 to Costa…
I flew out of ATL Jan 12-18 to Costa Rica. Delta is supposed to be cream of the crop. On the flight there the flight attendants were terrible lacking courtesy. Almost intimidating behavior as they walked up and down the aisles. No more flying Delta for me.
Revoked Seat Assignment on Korean Air partner flight
I booked an international itinerary directly through Delta and paid extra specifically to select seats on all flight segments, including an 8-hour long-haul leg operated by Delta’s partner airline, Korean Air. During booking, Delta’s system clearly allowed seat selection on all three legs and confirmed those selections before payment. I would not have purchased this ticket without that confirmation.
After payment, my email confirmation showed the seat assignment for the final leg as missing. Delta’s system once again allowed me to re-enter the reservation and select seats for that segment. Despite this, Delta and Korean Air later began directing me back and forth, ultimately stating that seat selection on the Korean Air flight was “never allowed,” even though Delta’s own system accepted payment and confirmed the seats.
As a result, I paid for a service that was confirmed and then revoked, with no meaningful resolution or accountability. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a paid upgrade that was sold and later denied. Delta marketed, processed payment for, and confirmed a service it ultimately refused to stand behind.
What makes this particularly frustrating is Delta’s continued promotion of seamless partner airline integration, while offering no customer protection when those systems fail. The responsibility was placed entirely on the customer to navigate conflicting airline policies after the purchase was complete.
At a minimum, Delta should:
• Clearly disclose when seat selection on partner airlines is not guaranteed
• Stop accepting payment for services that cannot be honored
• Take responsibility when its booking system misrepresents availability
Until Delta is willing to stand behind what it sells, I cannot recommend booking international itineraries involving partner airlines. This experience significantly damaged my trust in the brand.
Horrible Business Model
I will never fly Delta again. Never have I not been assigned a seat or boarding position at check-in. I made a point of checking in as soon as it became available, yet I still got a middle seat in the back of the plane. I flew with Westjet, and my seat assignment wasn’t this bad
Delta has issued me a number of credits…
Delta has issued me a number of credits for flights I had to cancel for illness and change of plans. Compared to most airlines that seems pretty darn good.
Delta employees are extremely helpful…
Delta employees are extremely helpful and polite. A recent trip was cancelled due to mechanical issues. They provided free snacks and water as well as a meal voucher. I would rather wait around for another flight than get on an unsafe plane.
Delta disappoints again.
Our flight from Detroit to Amsterdam was 3 hours late and we mr. connecting flight by 10 minutes. We were a group of 44 people and I feel they should have held the plane for us. That plane flew away half empty. We arrived at 11 o’clock and they were unable to book us on another flight until 9 PM. That meant that we missed the bus connection that was taking us to our accommodations in the mountain as well as the welcome party and beautiful dinner that we had hired chefs for. Delta did nothing for us except give us a $15 voucher to use at the airport. That is completely unacceptable as far as I’m concerned. None of this was our fault. The blame lies completely on Delta. We were not even given a reason for why the plane was delayed. Once we arrived in Amsterdam, they should have let the people that had the connecting flight to Geneva get off first, and they absolutely should’ve held the plane an extra 10 minutes.
I had a $500 gift card
I had a $500 gift card. The balance was used by Jerry Andre Beecham - per Delta Airlines in December 23, 2025 as a fraudulent transaction. The airline allowed this, even though it was linked to my skymiles account, which was not used to book the flight. Now, they are stating they do not cover any stolen amount from any gift card. Well, Merry Christmas Jerry Beecham whoever the hell you are - DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A GIFT CARD FROM DELTA FOR A FAMILY MEMBER!!! Even if an associate allows a friend to use it, you will be the one that pays, not DELTA!
Absolute joke.
Terrible. I had a flight from Japan to Florida and when I had a layover at LAX what was supposed to be a 5hr layover turned into an 18hr layover because of mechanical issues. This made my total trip take over 3 days just to get from point A to B and I had to miss out on work as well. They did not refund me any money and only gave me two $12 food vouchers so "I can eat while I wait" meanwhile this didn't cover a single cheap meal as we know airports are expensive. In addition, they put me on a connecting flight from LAX to Georgia another layover then to Tampa. Another Orlando flight got cancelled same day and they also claim mechanical. They need to do better this has happened too many times. Customer service is also terrible when things go down hill. They do not care about you and only about money.
Delta treating customers from partnerairlines differently than 'partners' do
What an unsympathetic airline Delta is. Just refused access from the Delta "Club" lounge in Miami. Reason: only acccess on international flights, not on domestic flights. I am a KLM goldmember, so assuming you have access to all 'partner airline" flights. But no, only international flights, while delta member do have access to ALL KLM flights, within Europe or outside. Not that Delta cares, but super unsympathetic and not treating well paying customers from "partners" in the ricght way. Very cheap and disappointing.
Extremely Stressful and Unprofessional…
Extremely Stressful and Unprofessional Check-In Experience – Sonia
My check-in experience was extremely stressful and unprofessional due to the behavior of Sonia. During the check-in process, she was singing instead of focusing on assisting passengers, which was completely inappropriate. I was traveling with my 1-month-old infant, and the situation required the utmost care and attention.
Sonia claimed she could not locate my infant’s ticket and insisted that I pay again, even though I showed her the confirmation email proving the ticket had already been issued. She then demanded payment for the infant’s baggage, despite the ticket clearly including a 10 kg checked bag.
After about an hour of discussion, when I requested a supervisor, it was confirmed that I was correct. However, the issues did not end there: Sonia checked in only my husband for the next flight and failed to check in me and my infant.
As a result, we faced boarding problems at every subsequent airport and had to locate the Air France office each time to resolve the issue. Managing this situation while carrying a 1-month-old baby was extremely stressful and exhausting.
Additionally, when I took a photo of Sonia’s badge for documentation, she and her colleague stated that they would call the police. While I did not actually encounter any police, this was clearly an attempt to intimidate me, especially after I informed them that I intended to write a review about her service.
This entire experience reflects completely unprofessional behavior and unacceptable customer service, particularly for passengers traveling with infants.
Sit in airport 6:30 am waiting for 9 am…
Sit in airport 6:30 am waiting for 9 am flight. They don’t have enough passenger delay from 9-10 am then change from 10am - 11:30 am waited change to 2 pm then delay to 6 pm. Give you 15 buck meal vouchers for the inconvenience for 12 hours. Sit yourself at airport I will pay you instead. If you got something important to do please run far away from this company.
Waiting for a 2.5 flight from Las Vegas…
Waiting for a 2.5 flight from Las Vegas to Seattle took 12 hours. They cancelled our flight 3 times. When we were finally able to get a flight from Vegas to LAX we were delayed 3 hours because they were short 1 flight attendant. Three times we were told they were coming from another flight. We were finally told they found a flight attendant only to be boarded and sit on the tarmac for an hour because low and behold the pilot came on and said they had no flight attendant and he had no idea when we would.
I would like to think this was a glitch with Delta but at our terminal there were 3 other flights trying to get out and they were all delayed and waiting on flight attendants. While speaking with other passengers they had the same experience with Delta 4 days prior from another location. This is unexceptable! I will never fly with Delta again.
Worst airline
First of all, the planes are poorly maintained. There is an aweful smell, dirt everywhere and inattentive service.
I have flown on many airlines throughout the years and have never had someone damage my luggage the way Delta did. It's like they tried drowning it in a swamp. My boyfriend's luggage security lock was broken. His bag was also damaged. The worst experience ever.
This airline used to be great and now it's just horrible in every way.
Also, while you are watching "in flight entertainment ", there are constantly interrupting announcements. Every 15 minutes. Was extremely annoying.
If you are charging more for your flights, then provide the value that justifies the cost. Honestly, AA is way better now. At least AA doest destroy your luggage.
Best customer service
Jason C, #125482 on flight DL358 SEA to TPA, made my trip delightful. He was attentive, upbeat and picked up on what it took for me to enjoy my journey i.e. yummy coffee, snacks and conversation. As I entered the aircraft his smile was infectious.
Delta Airlines Awesome Customer Service - CDG Airport
I would like to formally commend Emmanuelle, who was working at the Delta ticket counter at Paris–Charles de Gaulle Airport on Monday, January 5, 2026, around 10:00 a.m.
During an extremely stressful situation, when all flights were sold out, Emmanuelle spent a significant amount of time helping me find a way back to the United States. She was exceptionally professional, patient, and kind throughout the process. She also assisted me with placing heavy luggage on the scale.
Later, while she was in transit to assist at a gate, she noticed that I was struggling with my baggage and voluntarily helped me again. At one point, I nearly dropped my bags when the train unexpectedly jerked forward, and I almost fell. These acts of kindness were especially meaningful, as I had undergone surgery two months prior and was not supposed to lift heavy bags. Emmanuelle was unaware of this, and she also did not know that I was urgently returning to the United States because my husband had suffered a stroke. Despite this, her compassion and attentiveness made a profound difference during one of the most stressful moments of my life.
At Gate M27 - Concourse B, I also observed Emmanuelle demonstrate the same kindness I experienced toward an elderly woman who appeared to be confused about a missed flight. Because of her extraordinary kindness and professionalism, Emmanuelle will always be remembered by me as the “Queen of Delta Air Lines Customer Service.”
I would also like to recognize the gate agents working Flight DL0267 (Gate M43- Concourse B) on January 5, 2026, departing Paris–CDG at 2:40 p.m. to JFK. They worked diligently and efficiently to accommodate as many standby passengers as possible within a very limited timeframe and went above and beyond to ensure we were able to board.
Thank you, Delta Air Lines Paris–CDG, for employing such exceptional, customer-focused employees.
