Absolutely useless. Waited an hour and 15 mins for a taxi, they called to see if I still needed it, I called them back to see home much longer THEY CANCELLED so had to call and rebook 😳 taxi finally arrives and driver hasn’t a clue where we was going, had to direct him from my home to my destination,
Sexual Abuse
Drivers are creepy and will take advantage of intoxicated girls. Sexual abuse and harassment. AVOID!
Distrusting experience with delta…
Distrusting experience with delta orders a taxi early in morning and explained to the operator that I had an important doctors appointment for 12.30 soo I ordered the taxi for 12.10pm and I was still waiting 20 minutes later I rang back they said they would make me a priority and 15 minutes later I was still waiting the disgusting part came when I rang back and was spoken to like a simpleton and had THE PHONE PUT DOWN ON ME when the taxi driver finally did arrive he told me straight after I told him how long I had been waiting that he had been given two bogus jobs before me and that if it weren’t for the bogus jobs he would off been there at the right time this story was also repeated to me by the old woman who lives across the road her driver had been giving bogus calls before she was finally picked up and there for had missed an important appointment like me all because some stupid operators decided to have a laugh at my expense and didn’t show any concern that I was a loyal customer who could no longer trust them, they where disgusting and I feel sick at the service I was giving. Delta have now allowed young staff that will have no problem whatsoever abusing vulnerable people to festa in there switchboards.
DO NOT USE DELTA TAXIS!!!
DO NOT USE DELTA TAXIS!!!! THEY REFUSED MY ILL MOTHER ACOMPANIED BY TWO TRAINED NURSES
Very unreliable at peak periods
What I describe here has happened to me several times ( mainly at weekends) and once again tonight. I ordered a taxi by phone and waited for the ring back to say that the taxi is ,"....on its way and will arrive shortly." I immediately go to wait for the taxi, but after ten minutes of waiting it does not arrive. Because its the weekend I do expect a little delay but when I ring the operator (after being number 42 in a queue) they tell me that the taxi has been and gone already, when I know full well that it has not! This excuse from Delta is not a one off as it seems to be an agreed standard response at busy times to fob off people. I would not be so bothered if it was just a one off but it has now happened far too often to be ignored. They refuse to hear what I have to say and just say that the driver has been and gone and basically it's my fault. They then agree to send out another taxi to the address but that means me waiting another 20 minutes outside in all sorts of weather. Yes, we know that they are busy at night at the weekend but, if they can't provide the service they should say so and I can go elsewhere. I can only guess as to why I get the same lie from them each time and it is possibly connected to an earlier practice of theirs where, after a wait time of some 20-25 minutes they would routinly remove your request for a taxi unless you rang them again to rebook. Once or twice I have been left waiting for over an hour for a taxi that was never going to come. I can only guess as to the reason for this practice as it presumably gives their drivers the chance of more lucrative jobs in areas of the centre of town especially during the weekends leaving people like me on the outskirts to wait until one passes by. You can usually rely on Delta during the week days except Friday evening. Other problems occur when its raining and shoppers will order a taxi than walk with shopping in the rain. Also, don't make a doctors appointment before 9am or between 2.45 and 3.30 as evidently parents use taxis to pick up their kids from school. Suffice to say, Delta is no longer the service it once was and is wholly unreliable at the weekend with long wait times, unless you are in the more popular venues.
Ease of use
I used to phone delta and get a lovely human voice asking me where I wanted picking up from, and my cab would be a couple of minutes, now I need degree in computer technology just to request a cab,I am nearly 70 and tried to phone a cab and and was told o was 137th on the queue what's going on please delta just remember technology isn't the be all and end all, people just want simplicy
Today I called a delta I explained I…
Today I called a delta I explained I had a small well behaved dog. The driver that turned up IM NOT TAKING THAT, started saying how I obviously never told them on phone. Sat in his car staring at myself my elderly mother & my 4 year old niece. If looks could of killed he then picked up his fair drove past us slowly stuck his head out of window shouted f, off and put two fingers up at us. Absolutely despicable behaviour in front of a elderly lady & child plenty witnesses he was a real piece of work I’m a 5ft woman he wouldn’t never of spoken or acted that way towards a man Taxi number 7173 I won’t be using delta ever again probably won’t even be spoken to about it. WELL I TELL YOU DELTA THAT IS YOUR COMPANY HE IS BRINGING DOWN….!!!!!! Manners cost nothing I was polite & apologetic for the call handler not letting him know, he was just a angry headed so called man.
Had a few bad experiences
Had a few bad experiences, including today where a driver gave me verbal abuse because I was doing the speed limit and the poor car speeding and tailgating me from behind had to slow down by about 3mph, in a rush and impatient so beeps his horn at me.
Odd thing is when a Delta driver decides to pull up to the side of me and give me crap??
It seems they think they decide the road speeds and to get involved in car issues nothing to do with them is weirder ( who are they to say anything when they consistently speed and drive badly desperately trying to make as much money as possible).
So you don't have to just deal with speeding tailgate but a taxi driver with fare in the back not involved deciding to get involved all because I was doing 30 in a 30 zone?
They are potentially going to increase car accidents and be involved in altercations ( bad enough if it was to do with them but to get involved in others issues is very unprofessional
Can't drive
As a road user my experience with Delta Taxis has been poor in general. I saw one driving the wrong way down a one way street once. They're asking for trouble as people don't look both ways properly when emerging into a one way street. They also seem to enjoy cutting people up on roundabouts.
If you value your safety and the safety of others I wouldn't get into one of these pirvate hire cars.
Not even one star
Not even one star. Pre booked a taxi, never showed up so missed my travel. Rang up three times, operator not helpful and rude. Sticking to Uber and now I know it’s just as easy to pre book them!
CURRENT DRIVER!!!
CURRENT DRIVER!!!!
To all potentiall drivers out there please do not join delta as you will be dissapointed very soon. The only people who will make money is delta and settle company(where you rent your car) . Mainy used by scallies for drug drops and drug dealers on a night time. If you think you will earn money honestly with delta you are very wrong. Delta earnings are around£7 per hour during the day time . You take £15-20 but when calculate your settle which is around £190-220 peer week for a car plus delta radio settle £115+ £5 for data if you use their phone dividing the hours worked (plus dieasel and car wash, hovering etc) you end up with £7 for your self . No much tips these days as there is a lot of account work picking people on account and theyvdont tip you and you dont see that money . On a night time every week you will have 5-7 times aprox scallies will make a run (they want pay you) delta’s policy is not to charge upfront unless is £20+ fare , less than that you will get penalised if you do. Police wont help you they will just give you a crime number and case closed. Some drivers working for delta for years but they will never tell you that they have secret deals with local drug dealers to deliver drugs around liverpool for them in that way you can earn £200-300 a day but soon or later matrix will catch you and I hope they will if you go that way.
Also delta will always stand by customer even if that customer is a scally , its hard to believe until you start working with them. I lost around £600 in fares since january as passangers run away or did not have money to pay. Since I start working with UBER there is no runners or arguments about shortest routes etc , the worst people who will argue about the routes are these poor scouse people who jump on delta going around the corner for £2,70 fare and dictating you the way you shpuld take and behaving like company directors etc . On a way to local booze shop usually .
Also on a daily basis there is a lot of boggies ( no show ups) that means you accept the job and you spend 5-15 min to get to address and nobody is there. And that doesnt happen in uber or Alpha taxis who are much better to work for.
Dont be stupid to accept zonal settle as they will offer you zones for £20 that means if you pick soneone up in town he goes to Kirkby you will come back empty to town and waist fuel and time etc.
I could write a book about delta its just worst company and eventualy they will bancrupt. Reasons are : They don’t care about drivers, they are just greedy . Good companies to work for are
1) UBER ( number one no scallies there and everyone pay)
2) Alpha taxis
3) One call taxis
10 empty spaces and then DELTA
GOOD LUCK AND STAY AWAY from delta
Late
Late, overcharged and rude. If you're not from Liverpool, expect the driver to try as hard as possible to rip you off like an idiot, waste of time. Do not use. Had same problems with them for 10 years, they think because I'm from Yorkshire I'm easily ripped off, I've been coming to Liverpool for 10 years and know when I'm being ripped off. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, terrible company. Rip off old ladies and vulnerable whenever they can.
I had arranged transport with Delta five hours in advance and they refused to commit to the arrangement and left me and my dog stranded in 29 degrees heat
I had arranged transport with Delta cars five hours in advance for me and my small dog, I had been caring for my father with dementia. I received a message to say that my car had been dispatched and went outside to wait in 29 degrees heat as I didn’t won’t to miss the taxi. 30 minutes later I called to find out where my taxi was, I was advised that all drivers working had an allergy to pets so declined to pick me and my dog up, despite making arrangements with delta cars five hours prior. I asked what they advised me to do and was told I needed to find an alternative mode of transport, which I found very interesting as if I had an alternative mode of transport I would not have booked a taxi. I explained my situation, I had to be at the destination to pick up my dependant children but was told that this would not be provided by delta cars. Absolutely disgraceful, no regard for their customers at all.
Drivers Bad Attitude
Ordered a taxi home from my Brothers in blundell le sands after the England game last night. I a female got in first and indicated I was with my dad (88 years young) and my brother (60) to which he told “to get in the back!” He also was speeding (I have filmed his speed) also miserable and abrupt!!
All with masks on (without being asked!!)
Would we of been refused if there would of been 4 of us ?
What a sad end to a great evening after England’s game 😔 will order from else where next time.
Poor customer service
Booked a taxi by phone. Asked for an approximate eta. The dispatcher said I could not have one "for legal reasons". If they cannot give an "approximate" and "estimated" time of arrival for legal reasons, then perhaps they need to talk to their legal expert, as both words describe exactly what they are, even in the eyes of the law! What it really was is an abject failure to try to help a customer with a ballpark figure, which I would have totally understood as just that. The taxi arrived quickly and well within what I considered a reasonable estimated eta. If they don't improve their customer service all their problems will go away, as they'll be out if business. Will never use them again.
Mathew Walsh he’s the worst lie ever!
Mathew Walsh he’s the worst lie ever!
First when I get on the taxi he told me tha I can’t pay by cash because his card machine ran out of battery for some how, and he didn’t drop me off where I ask him to drop me off he dropped me off like 20 minutes walk away from where I asked him to drop me off because he sees the traffic is bad. And he charged me money and don’t even let me see first what is the amount that I have to pay, this guy is a real scam. Please, can you sort it out because I don’t think this is the first time he did this to his customers. Thank you
Worst company ever
Worst company ever! They lie about ringing you to say they can't find you ( in my house ffs!) Absolutely don't give a dam about customer service as they know with the pandemic people are reliant on taxis. Ordered one at 5:15pm for 6pm still waiting at 7:20 ffs absolutely useless
Absolutely shocking lately
Absolutely shocking lately, used to be great most of the time but now you just cant trust them. Heard all kinds of excuses from the agents, who I feel sorry for because it'll be them that lose their jobs first.
As an example, I booked a taxi 3 HOURS in advance the other day to get to an appointment, got to the time slot and still didnt have a car another hour later. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, then got let down again on the next time I tried them. Never again. The drivers are usually alright but I've also had 2 try and bump me in the last 2 weeks taking mad routes even I'd told them which way I wanted them to go. Gone right down the pan over the past few months, if you can, use Alpha, or anyone else, they are bound to be a million times more reliable and actually turn up when they say they will.
gave up waiting and took the car on…
gave up waiting and took the car on sunday. used to be a great service, what's happened.
Current employee driver
Currently working at delta taxis merseyside as a private hire driver. The supervisors talking to drivers only when there is a problem and talking to drivers like talking to a dog. There is so many things to pay before you earn a penny for yourself . Delta settle is £110 / week, car £180 and it can go over £200 per week , plus £100 diesel ( if you work 60+hours) . So thats around £390 before you earn a penny . It worked out the takings you take minus expences you get £8 per hour ( no tips as much is card payments + account friendly work) So after paying tax ( as you are self employeed) you will get £6 per hour nett . Take into account that you dont get paid for sick leave or holiday . Means you rate goes even more down . Cleaning , washing a car weekly is another expence out of your pocket. Many delta drivers who have their own cars like mercedes, bmw etc are conected with drug dealers and they are using delta taxis just for their private drug runs/deliveries and drops on a daily basis . Many of them are doing it on a daily basis , if you earn £6 per hour you cant earn to buy a car £15000 or more worth it’s just not possible.
Many delta drivers left them who doesnt belive me go to these settle companies monday-friday you will see how many cars are parked outside their garages / units , one of them is Aintree settle cars they have 20+ cars novody drives them. Also there is 50 jobs per car that means there is no drivers and people waiting for ages for delta taxi to arrive.
Ask your friends or call a delta to see how long will you wait . They are offering cheap zonal settle ‘’ as little as £20 ‘’ per week . You can check this on twitter and their web site . If you go cheap £20 per zone they will give you access to Southport or Skmersdale area etc nobody will ever call you there. Or Wirral , Warington , Chester etc ....
All the jobs are in Everton, Liverpool , Bootle to get that you must pay £110 week.
Stay away from Delta taxis Merseyside as this is a modern slavery company.
They destroyed taxi industry in Liverpool with cheap start flag fare £2,70 etc . Now they trying ti take over Wirral to destroy local companis like Argal Satelites cars etc . But it will not happen been there and seen they have no chance.
Managment in delta are ex taxi drivers who talk to drivers without respect at all as well with customers telling them porkies and lies .
unles you want to deliver dxxx for local deaxxxx under the delta shield . Othervise you got no chance to make earnings on a nice honest way .
