Never Buy From Demir Leather - quality is terrible

I purchased a lounge suite and dining room suite from Demir Leather 3 years ago and I’m still waiting to get justice for the crappy furniture it sent me - I believe a lot of it was second hand and some was damaged during transportation.

I initially hoped Demir Leather would fix the damage but NO they did not. so I went to NCAT and got partial resolution but not enough. So I claimed insurance and I was told by the insurance company that it was Demir’s fault and would not pay out. So now I have written to the ombudsman but I have not heard back.

1) Table top scratched and base scratched and dented - then the replacement was the same - Demir admitted it was from the salesman’s home and NCAT ordered they pay my money back. But that left me with 4 leather chairs bought specifically to match the table.

2) Two swivel chairs had writing on the leather and the 2 bases were different sizes and scratched and dented with missing floor pads - to me they were second hand. NCAT ordered four the bases to be replaced but this in turn caused issues - the bases were too low, not chrome and couldn’t be fixed easily to chairs which originally had different numbers of screws to fix the bases - when returned there was what looked like a Stanley knife cut in the leather

3) the Sofa was a mess when received with cuts, writing, lumps, bumps and dents all over it. NCAT did not order for the sofa to be replaced because Demir said I did the damage by putting a rug on it, so I lodged a claim with my insurance company. The insurance company had a leather expert examine it and he said the damage was done during transportation and would not pay the claim. Now I’ve applied to the ombudsman for a review.

The sofa is so uncomfortable- so hard I can’t sit in it for long. And every day I wake up and have to look at the damaged items supplied by Demir Leather

I have lots of pictures if you contact me
