I love drawing wildlife and these pencils are perfect for that.you can build colour and fine work makes feathers and fur very realistic.easily rubbed out as well. Highly recommend

Decided to buy a reasonable number to have a good variety of colours but very disappointed in what was sent. Many are very similar in colour with hardly any vivid bright colours. The only yellow is yellow ochre and mustard. A bright lemon yellow would have been good. If you want to include poppies in a picture you better buy the even larger tin and hope they include a bright red colour. The reds they include in this selection are very dark, some are almost brown. The only brighter red is the strawberry which doesn’t have the vibrancy you need for poppies. If you are hoping to use them for colouring in flowers then I wouldn’t recommend this set. They don’t come with a sharp point. I had three pencil sharpeners none of which would provide a point. Putting them in my metal sharpener they just spun around. I began to wonder whether they were made with the specific bore to only be sharpened by their own Derwent sharpener! The fifth sharpeners I tried, a cheap plastic one works well!
