I thought it was a good idea and keeps them together with the tin of 36 I bought from my art shop.
Perfect for holding six pencils
Good travel size but doesn’t always stay closed when the lid is on.
Very convenient way to purchase.

These are great pencils, they do everything I want them to do and I wouldn't use anything else...the tin is useful for paintbrush storage!

Although I found Derwent sets that worked out cheaper per pencil elsewhere - this way you get to choose a totally personal palette. For me this equates to both reasonable value and less ‘waste’. Recipient was delighted with the blues and greens I chose and likes the slim metal tin too. She plans to use it for sketching outings. Best value if you want a niche range of colours otherwise shop around for best deals on standard sets.
