De Valk Yachtbrokers

Be careful if you're selling a boat in Almeria, Spain. If you're considering doing this through Jorg Hellmich of De Valk Yachtbrokers, I strongly advise against it. This broker simply gives prospective buyers the keys to explore your boat independently, unsupervised, all day long. If any damage occurs, you'll receive the following message: De Valk is not responsible for any damage to your boat. Please see our listing.
So be warned.

Answer on reply De Valk
"Unfortunately, your response does not reflect the reality of the situation, which suggests a lack of oversight regarding the operational standards of your international offices.
As previously stated, the conduct during the recent viewing of my yacht was in direct violation of De Valk’s official procedures. Despite your assurance that viewings are strictly supervised, your broker, Jorg Hellmich, left visitors unattended on my vessel. Furthermore, the boat was left unlocked after the viewing.
I consider this a serious breach of your duty of care. Leaving third parties unsupervised and failing to secure the vessel exposes my property to unnecessary risks, including theft, damage, and potential insurance complications. I expect a formal explanation of how this will be rectified moving forward."

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to read that your experience did not meet expectations.

At De Valk Yachtbrokers, we take the viewing process very seriously. Viewings are conducted according to clear procedures, and we aim to ensure that both sellers and buyers are properly guided at all times.

We do not fully recognise the situation as described, particularly given the severe storm conditions at the time. That said, we are sorry to hear that damage occurred.

We take concerns about responsibility and communication very seriously and would like to discuss this with you directly. We kindly invite you to contact us via our website: https://www.devalk.nl/

Kind regards,
