I am with deVere since more than 15 years now and was advised by three different deVere officers, of whom I have always appreciated the advise and the results they provided.
Since 2016 Andrew Daglish is counseling me, he started just before my definitive comeback home in Italy. I have appreciated since the beginning Andrew’s professional style: plain but comprehensive advice, honest review of the products proposed, setting realistic expectations, very accurate on costs management (he shares my view that “costs are certain, gains … we’ll see”), flexible to adapt the proposals to the milestone steps in my life (retirement, real estate projects, aging …), always considering the entire span of my investments/assets (not just deVere) to propose the overall best cours of action, ready to help with the redtape issues when they show up, never hiding behind the easy “is someone else’s job”. I also personally appreciate Andrew’s sincere empathy, which is an ingredient that makes a professional relationship an easy one.

These guys, like most of the financial advisers, have high fee products and unfair conditions. I have taken a retirement fund from Hansard thru them, and after 3 years of investment on which the market has moved up considerably(40%) the fund is up only 10%! why because the high fees! So rather than giving them 1k$/month and after 20 years you will have 400k, just open a brokerage account yourself and invest that 1k/montly into S&P 500 and after 20 years you will have 600k! Thats 200k $ in fees which you are paying and on top of that you will have your money locked!!!

The current experience wth deVere Poland is great, actually since Bradley Lewis took over the Polish practice. Previously, it varied from a good experience to quite poor one with ailing communication, empty promisses to deliver etc. It depended on who was at a given moment the delegated advisor and they were changing quite often. I even submitted a couple of complaints in the past. Bradley has changed everything since he took over. Now I am happy with the service, he is also a very nice person who carefully listens, also is open on some 'small talk' or a chat on personal life which makes a very good climate to discuss professional matters. His advice is always clear, sincere and within right boundaries, leaving a comfortable space for making decisions. Alike his help in paperwork. I like also his active approach when there seems to be an opportunity or event that might affect investments so that I feel my savings are watched and taken care of. I am very glad he moved to Warsaw from Milan, hope he is happy, too, despite the cold winter this year :)

So far, the recommendations have worked out pretty well, and for the 1st time in 3 investment companies (2 of which ruined my initial investment), I'm in profit. It's taken 4 years to undo the catastrophe (£32k loss) of the 2 previous companies but Lewis and DeVere have made it, and we're in profit!!! The forecast looks positive. Will be continuing with him/them for the foreseeable.
