I wasn't sure what to expect from a very thin Alpacca duvet so I called for advice before purchase. We have a warm house that has a geat pump. The lady I spoke to recommended a low tog. She was not wrong. We are very cosy!!! We are both sleeping better already. Really really delighted with it.

I’m writing this review 4 years after having used the fitted sheet.

Firstly, I want to say I have the duvet which is absolutely fantastic, I do find it temperature regulating and the weight of it is so comforting. I love snuggling up under it. I bought a second one for our spare room and also purchased one for my granddaughter.

At the time of buying the duvet I also bought a king size fitted sheet as it was half price if bought with the duvet. This week after four years of use, obviously not constant, as I have other bedding, I’ve had to sadly throw it away. The sheet was amazing at first, I used to look forward to sleeping on it as it felt luxurious compared to my other cotton sheets from Ikea and Sainsbury’s. The reason for not being able to use it is that it has become threadbare and developed holes at the head and feet areas on both sides. Disappointed is an under statement, my much cheaper, lesser thread count sheets have far outlived this one.

Updated after reply from Devon duvets. My other sheets are also 100% cotton, I don’t buy poly cotton and they were bought at the same time as this one, they’ve all had equal wear, my point was that for the price my other cheaper less thread count 100% cotton sheets have lasted much longer

How helpful they were, even after ordering the extra warm one and realising that it was going to be too much, they couldnt of helped more and feel so grateful to them for all they did. It was a big treat to myself to get a wool duvet and my sleep is so much better as now i dont overheat like i did with a feather duvet and it feels the perfect weight around my body. i highly recommend them as a personal family business doing it really well.

Bought the mid weight wool and botanical lightest duvets as a couple. It's the peak of winter, the heating is off, the room is 14 degrees, I have a 400tc Egyptian cotton percale duvet cover and yet we are still overheating. My partner sleeps cold and needed something warm. She can be boiling and not complain but she says she sweats a bit in this wool. I am a hot sleeper and use the lightest weight botanical made from tencel. I overheat and have weird dreams and don't sleep as deeply as before. The materials are not breathable in my opinion. Temperature regulation seems like a stretch here when the natural material is covered by some outer material which compromises the air permeability.

I do love the fact that you can interchange the single duvets which most companies don't do. 5 stars there.
I spent alot on these premium duvets but was unable to return them even after stating that we didn't sleep in them but laid it on us to try with clothing on.

I would say you as a consumer should ignore tog ratings and be very sceptical about natural fibres when it comes to staying breathable. Air permeability is not a property of natural fibres exclusively.
There are some hollow fibres that are synthetic with better air permeability.

My advice to the company is to either target to cold sleepers for only winter and autumn or change the thicknesses of the bedding and hey you may make more money using less material.

I don't think I have ever been happier of a purchase as I am of my wool duvet and folding pillow. It's warm, it smells great, it's good quality and arrived quickly.

We have the wool mattress topper, bought earlier in the year, wool pillows & some pillowcases, all items are first class quality, the shopping experience was friendly & professional, the delivery was quick. The staff went above & beyond to help with the purchase. Thank you.

I ordered a topper and whilst delivery was super quick and it is a beautifully made lovely UK product that has added a layer of comfort to a too firm mattress, it isn’t breathable or temperature regulating and is far too hot. I read that it was especially suited to modern mattresses. I live in an old draughty cottage not a new build and I am not a hot sleeper.
So I am very disappointed. There is no option to return even though it’s only been used for just three nights with a good quality mattress protector.. So an expensive mistake. Live and learn!

Never, ever buy a Devon Duvets pure wool duvet. You'll never get out of bed again. It's simply divine. Best investment this year! 😁 I also have their mattress topper which is still going strong after 5 years.

We recently purchased two of the double fold pillows. Absolutely superb, the best nights sleep we have both had for some time. I very rarely post reviews but felt I must on this occasion.

Alpaca Lightweight Duvet
Have had this duvet for a week now and it's just lovely, superb quality, drapes nicely and although lightweight keeps me plenty warm enough! Fast delivery with no issues, would use and recommend DD every time.

Straightforward website, seemed to be a product that was well-rated, simple ordering procedure and contact over order/delivery for a wool duvet. Well made duvet packed in a useful linen storage sack. Evri courier took 3 days instead of the promised 2 then dumped the box on the doorstep and cleared off. Duvet is clearly good quality, comfortable, warm, not too heavy and value for money. Why do these good companies spoil it with diabolical couriers.

I am so dissapointed in my mattress topper. This is approx the 4th one I have purchased from Devon Duvets. Never before have I experienced an EXTREME smell of the wool . I called DD, It was explained that some wools are a stronger smell than others, and to put it outside, or on an airer. I can do neither of those things due to physical reasons, and having no outside space. The smell permeates into my personal sleep wear. My bedroom smells etc. It must have been known that this extreme smell was present in this topper, or batch of toppers, it would have been helpful as a customer care action, to have been contacted and asked if that was OK on this occasion. Had I known I would have waited for a different batch of toppers.

I now have a mattress topper and pillow, both of which I love and the pillow has already, after only 3 nights, relieved my morning neck pain and headache. The customer service has been first class, especially in the case of the pillow which failed to arrive and was duly replaced. I cannot thank them enough for all the help I received.

I purchased a double wool mattress topper from Devon Duvets and encountered some challenges that I feel potential customers should be aware of. Upon receiving the product, I noticed a strong odor that resembled chemicals, despite Devon Duvets' assurance that their products are crafted using 100% natural materials without chemicals or bleach.

I followed their recommendation to air out the topper extensively, both indoors and outdoors as weather permitted, but unfortunately, the odor persisted. This was concerning as I specifically chose a natural wool product due to allergies to chemicals and scents.

When I contacted Devon Duvets to discuss exchanging the topper for one that did not have this strong odor, they responded promptly but declined my request. They reiterated their assurance that the product is chemical-free and attributed the smell to natural wool characteristics that may affect sensitive individuals differently. This opposed to my previous natural wool bedding experiences which I have not had any odour issues.

While I appreciate their commitment to using natural materials and complying with fire safety regulations, the persistent odour and the company's ignorance to accommodate my request for an exchange left me disappointed. As a customer who prioritises health and seeks natural bedding options, I had expected better support and understanding of my concerns.

In conclusion, Devon Duvets offers handmade products with commendable craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. However, potential customers should be aware of the possibility of a strong natural odor that may not dissipate quickly, despite the company's assurances of chemical-free production. More flexibility in customer service regarding such concerns would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.

So I bought a heart shaped pillow for my mastectomy surgery and whilst in hospital I wondered why I bought it. However, I came home yesterday and found myself unable to get comfortable until I put the cushion under my arm. OMG what a difference! It also provides a gentle compression to the side and under arm whilst my arm is resting in it.

Purchased DOUBLE WOOL DUVET SET - ALL SEASON 14+ TOG and 2 x WOOL PILLOW - ORIGINAL (75 X 50CM). Excellent quality, far superior to Woolroom and John Lewis products. Very comfortable, much better than our old synthetic duvet. Does have a slight "sheepy" smell initially, but not unpleasant and wears off after a few weeks

Bought it at least 10 years ago, still very satisfied with it, so much that I feel the need to thank them when putting it on!
Keeps body temp, allows breathing, still in excellent shape, exceptional quality… they made an astonishing product, well done Devon Duvets!!!

I ordered a mattress topper from this local company unfortunately there was a delay in them getting the correct material for the cover. I can totally understand this as like everything else in this country seems hard to source since we have left the EU.
The topper arrived today and it is fantastic a British made product from the heart of Devon. We need to support our local hard working companies and take delays on the chin. Not their fault regarding this import mess. I personally will be buying more products from this company.

I was extremly dissatisfied with Devon Duvets.
I would not use them again.

Bought a King size duvet. Was a bit apprehensive, usually only buy down duvets. The wool duvet from Devon Duvets is absolutely brilliant. So warm and doesn't flop about like down duvets.
