Wonderful products but atrocious after sales support

I live in Ireland but am a long term patron of the Devon Soap Company on Fairfax Place in Dartmouth. They provide a wide range of naturally infused soaps, candles and an assortment of wonderful gift ideas at a medium to high price range.
I bought my usual selection of soaps and candles this summer and looked forward to using them once home.
Unbelievably, the batch I bought had no infused aromas. It was the basic soap with none of the delightful scents I have come to enjoy. I phoned the shop and was horrified with the way the shop assistant dealt with my query. She did not listen to me and I found her to be condescending and dismissive. She told me to contact the manufacturers and offered me no recompense. She told me I didn't understand, so I ended the call rather than be subjected to further offense.
I would suggest advanced customer relations training is required so that shop assistants in the Devon Soap Company are best prepared to deal with dissatisfied customers, when they sell products that do not reflect the standard as advertised.
I can't believe that a good customer could be treated in this way. This experience has encouraged me to look elswhere for fine soaps. As the shop are obviously not accountable for what they sell, I am posting this review to warn other shoppers... buyer beware.
