A bit of a long one in afraid. we've bought our furniture from DFS for years, not just us but my parents & my daughter, the only time we have had a no fault delivery is when we bought our mattress last year.
Going back in time my parents bought a set of dining room furniture all matching, one of the side tables arrived damaged but was replaced within around 2 weeks.
14 years ago I bought a leather suite, when it arrived the seating on the soft dropped at one end do when you sat at that end you sank in the seat. DFS took their time getting someone out to looked at it then we waited for an upholsterer who couldn’t find the fault. It was a case of waiting weeks with no sofa while it was taken away & replaced or accept a partial refund, which we ended up doing.
Moving on 5 years later my parents bought a leather suite, when it arrived one of the chairs was the wrong colour, didn’t match the sofa & other chair. Once again DFS said they’d have to take it all away so they could get a matching suite remade. I put my foot down as they were booth elderly & would be left with nothing to sit on. Eventually they agreed to let them keep hold of it while their new suite was made.
10 years ago I moved to a small house where all my living room furniture wouldn’t fit so I ordered a sofa & chair from DFS, when it arrived the chair was scratched so I had to ring them to send someone out. A lovely chap came and repaired it.
About 3 years ago my daughter bought a suite from them, when it arrived the snuggle chair didn’t match the rest of the suite, again they took it away & she had to wait weeks for the chair to be returned.
I’ve just bought a new suite with 2 recliner chairs. The guys delivered it and we checked it, just when we thought it had all gone smoothly they informed us they hadn’t been giving the power cables to actually plug the chairs in. After I rang them twice to chase it up, they rang me back to say it would be at least 3 weeks before we’d get them, so we don’t get full use of what we’ve paid for.
Honestly the furniture has lasted well once all the problems have been sorted but it’s becoming beyond a joke with them. I’m hoping this suite lasts us a good few years as I can’t cope with the stress.

I think that the customer is very good and I hope when my delivery arrives the DFS delivery are helpfull
