Domestic and general sent an engineer…

Domestic and general sent an engineer who said I need a plumber to look at my boiler and he can’t do anything about it
I called a plumber he said it’s something wrong with boiler
Then I called d&g they said twice they will get someone to call me up
Today I called my self they said can we have proof of the plumber which I had the plumber phn number I thought getting insurance means get the job done asap but waiting for a week I rather get job done privately

Boiler Change

I am very happy with the boiler change carried out by Domestic & General Heating Ltd. The quote was competitive and it was obvious that Shahab knew what he was talking about, and that's why I placed the order. Ajay was very attentive and courteous in our interactions and Fawad and his brother did a great job, neat, tidy and very clean, dust sheets and shoes off when on carpets, excellent, you wouldn't know they'd been! Very satisfied and would highly recommend to others, thank you all!

Domestic & Genral

We have used Domestic & General for a number of years now; it replaced our old boiler with a new Worcester Bosch and since then have regularly serviced it. Professional, courteous and polite is how we would describe the company and based on our experience highly recommend it.

Boiler replacement

From start to finish Domestic & General Heating Ltd, were informative, technically competent, timely, and tidy. After explaining my requirements. Ajay, advised and explained the work required thoroughly and gave me a competitive price. Which I excepted after reviewing other quotes. The installation team were friendly,timely and professional. I would recommend Domestic and General Heating Ltd, to all who want a new or replacement boiler. Well done

Do not expect any deviation from quote or price unless it's in their favour

We engaged these guys to replace the heating system. The quote was fast and comprehensive but not itemised. The quote included all radiators and removal of all old stuff. We accepted the quote. But just before the day, we had to uninstall all of the old boiler and header tank to get to the shower waste whilst we were replacing the bathroom and we got our own radiator for the bathroom, both of these were on their quote. They were very difficult from then on. First they took off £250 to remove the bathroom radiator then refused to fit ours until we added £150 back in. They refused to drop the quote for removing all the old stuff which we'd already done.. And if my radiators that they've fitted are £100 radiators then they're really rubbish radiators... Not happy.

Thankyou for providing your feedback, we are very sorry to hear that you faced some difficulties. We never argue or intend to annoy our customers and always try our best to meet their expectations. Before we request you to get in touch we would humbly like you to please consider the following chain of events:

We emailed you the quote on 22nd of Sep after the assessment visit. On 30th Sep (your first interaction) you were very pleased and emailed us appreciating the way we emailed you our quote, and stated that you're impressed by our email and further requested to provide the same quotation on headed paper with the company VAT and registration numbers so that if you decide to go forward you can quickly engage us to do the work. We did send the quotation via email with full description on our company letter head in pdf form to meet your expectations.

After comparing and considering other quotes you informed us on October 9th that you are happy to proceed further with our quotation and gave us a go ahead and requested to contact your builder to arrange a date for installation.

On 10th October we followed your instructions and arranged 23rd October to carry out the quoted works with your builder and you paid us the agreed booking deposit.

During our conversation with your builder he asked if we can remove the existing system before the due installation date, we further discussed this and explained it to him that we are fully booked and unable to do this before hand and asked him if this suits. He said its not necessary and ok with him and he can carry out the works (for shower waste pipe installation) on the same day whilst we remove the old system.

On 16th October (Morning) you emailed us stating that the your builder is refitting the bathroom and has a towel radiator to match the decor and asked us to remove this from our quotation. Which we did and waved off £250 the supply and fit cost for towel radiator.

On The Same Day (16th October) in the evening you informed us via email stating that your builder has removed the old boiler, hot water cylinder and header tanks and the reason was that the builder was replacing the bathroom and shower waste ran behind the old boiler and further made a request to remove this from the quotation.

We did explain this to you over the phone that old system removal is always the part of the contract and we don't charge for this separately. Your builder had already discussed this scenario and after taking his consent that he is fine to carry out his works (regarding shower waste) on the same day whilst we remove the old system and then we booked the job.

Further to this no one informed or took our consent before carrying out these works (removal of the old boiler, hot-water cylinder and header tanks) which was a part of our contract.

On completion your builder asked our engineers to remove the old header tanks boiler and radiators from the site apart from the copper cylinder and the other copper that he removed from the old system location. As a part of the contract our engineers took away the old boiler header tanks and the old rads.

Today your builder provided only the towel rad without any valves and asked us to fit it. We reduced the price under the impression that he is going supply and fit the towel rad by himself. Today the £150 price we charged was for the engineers labour and cost of the two chrome radiator valves along with pipes and fittings.

All the material was explained to you over the phone and was well described within the quote email and if there was anything not according to your liking or your builders liking, he could have informed you and approached us to stop the works.

Our engineers worked hard to please you and your builder, but still if you have any issues please feel free to contact us or let us know a suitable time to contact you and we'll try our best to meet your expectations.

Incredible value, speed and workmanship

I had a full central heating system installed by D&G. Shahab and 3 colleagues showed up at 8am, worked relentlessly, and left by 2pm. It was quite incredible to watch. They were by far the most competitive on price, but also did a really great job. I had to harass them a little bit to register the guarantee but all good in the end. Highly recommended.

Really lucky to have found this…

Really lucky to have found this company! Ajay came out and did a survey and quote. He was thorough and explained everything. Fawad, Jawad, Shahab and Pinder came out on the agreed date they were punctual and got straight to work. Their work was clean and they tidied up after themselves, they worked solid with no break! I am truly Grateful! They even helped me bring several boxes of tiles downstairs that I would have struggled with! I would highly recommend this company, it’s been a pleasure dealing with them start to finish, Thankyou Guys!!

Very professional company

We were let down by an engineer, through no fault of his own, but our boiler had packed up completely. It was 5 days before Xmas, we were answered through check a trade by the company who said they could install a new boiler on Friday 23rd. Amin turned up early worked away installing boiler and after a few hours, we had heat and hot water. Very professional company and fitter, even cleaned up and they
even called us next day to make sure we were satisfied, brilliant customer service. Very friendly.Would recommend without hesitation.

Big shout out for Shahab and Ajay

Shahab both quoted and installed (with an excellent helper) for a straight replacement conventional gas boiler with Hive controls.
The quote was very competitive against my other quotes and promised an installation at my earliest convenience.
On installation day the team arrived promptly and worked efficiently to complete the job in the same day.
Post installation I did have an issue but this was again dealt with swiftly and very efficiently.
Customer Service is second to none and I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Had an old conventional boiler which…

Had an old conventional boiler which needed replacing for a more efficient modern combi boiler.
I had several quotes and I found the quote from D&G heating to be the most competitive and I appreciated the honesty and knowledge of the Shahab who did my quote. He promised that they would remove the old boiler, 2 header tanks in the attic, hot water tank, all extra pipework not required for new combi boiler, fit new boiler etc and have it running in a day. They did not disappoint. The 2 fitters (Mr Shahab Gulfam and Mr Pinder) grafted all day and delivered on their promise. There were a few issues they came across during the installation but they explained what they were and resolved them. I am very pleased with our new boiler, thank you D&G and thank you to the 2 fitters (Mr Shahab Gulfam and Mr Pinder)  for the hard work and professional job!

Excellent Professional Service

My original Worcester Bosch boiler came to the end of life due to lack of spares (over 20 years old) so started getting quotes spoke to A Jay at D&G who gave me a very good price and offered to do the job within a few days, answered all my questions with great patience even when I kept throwing question after question at him, thank you A Jay.
On the day of installation Shahab and colleague arrived put dust sheets down and towels to soak up any water leakage they then explained to us how they were going to proceed with the work and that they would have to change some pipe work all very professional.
The Boiler was fitted All the work area cleaned and rubbish removed, they explained how things worked and we were shown the various time / temperature settings and how to change them.
A great job from beginning to end from a very professional team would highly recommend D&G

Excellent service.

From the initial survey by shahab who explained the best options for our New heating system,to replace a back boiler with a Worcester combi boiler to the removal of lots of redundant tanks and pipework domestic & General heating were very professional arrived on time were very polite and extremely quick and clean leaving no mess and explained how every thing worked I will recommend them to anyone who requires any central heating system replacement.
