DHL Estonia has become so disgraceful that when you order a service and pay for home delivery, they simply drop the parcel into a pickup machine instead of delivering it. They claim they have too much work and therefore cannot provide home delivery, even though you paid a high fee and waited at home for the parcel to arrive.
WARNING: Do NOT use the "services" of this company.
They will fail to deliver your package and then return it to the sender even after you have contacted them, arranged for a new delivery time and received a letter of confirmation.
Got my package delivered to a pick up point in Tallinn. OK service, a bit confusing whether I should walk to the desk or the self-service points. Staff wasn't especially rude nor polite, but still alright service. Spoke English which is a plus.
I'll give 4 stars just because it'd be nice to have better instructions on what the self-service stations are for. Still got my package on time, and the service hours were good.
Also a nice addition was that they called me later to get a review of my experience. Very pleasant.
Absolutely horrible, impolite and incompetent. Slow and bureaucratic. Worse than all other services including the gov's one. The worst. Avoid at all costs.
Been dealing with DHL for a long time and the things really started to go downhill from around 2010.
They don't notify you in advance when they are making a shipment, half of the couriers can't even speak English and if someone does, they start to argue with you on how they should deliver EXPRESS shipment.
One of the recent examples:
Couldn't agree with shipment time with the courier, talked to their office next day and agreed on the delivery the following day.
Then, on the day when they suppose to make a delivery (Friday) they call me to tell that they can't make it. Speechless.
Avoid DHL if possible, will save you the time and money.
