Heartbreaking

My experience with this clinic started out positive, as the first two veterinarians handled my cat calmly and professionally. Unfortunately, everything changed when another staff member took over.

She handled my cat in what felt like an aggressive and forceful way, immediately using gloves and restraining her in a manner that clearly increased her stress and fear. As a result, my cat became defensive and upset, even though she is normally easy to treat — especially for something simple like flea and deworming drops.

Watching this was honestly heartbreaking. Instead of calming the situation, the approach escalated it unnecessarily, which made both my cat and me feel unsafe and deeply distressed. I expected patience, empathy and a cat-friendly approach from a professional veterinary environment.

What hurt most was feeling powerless while my animal’s trust and comfort were ignored. I left the appointment feeling sad, shaken and disappointed. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in the clinic, and sadly I cannot recommend it based on what happened.

Dierenartsen noorderplantsoen -> Rude staff and poor animal care

• Severe diagnostic failure
• Unacceptable delay in test results
• Pushing food as a “treatment” instead of real medical care
• Aggressive and unprofessional customer service
• Shouting, constant interruptions, and humiliating behavior
• Poor and rough handling of my cat
• Possible discrimination against a foreign client
• Money completely wasted with no solution

This clinic represents everything that is wrong with poor veterinary practice.

I brought my cat for a urine test because she was having urinary problems. In situations like this, results are normally available the same day. Instead, I waited almost an entire week without receiving any information. No one contacted me. I had to chase them myself by phone to get any response.

When I finally called, they admitted that they did not know what my cat has, yet they still had not properly analyzed or explained the urine results. Their only suggestion was: “We don’t know what it is, but try this food.” No diagnosis. No clear medical explanation. No treatment plan.

They instructed me to buy a specific urinary diet that is only available online. I immediately ordered it and even researched additional options myself. Due to delivery delays, the extra food has not arrived yet. However, I already had the recommended urinary food at home and started using it.

When I called again to explain the situation and to ask for real medical guidance, a female staff member began shouting at me, interrupting me repeatedly and refusing to let me speak. She accused me of not having bought the food, even though I had already purchased it. She did not allow me to explain what I already had at home or what I had ordered additionally.

Instead of helping my cat, she turned the conversation into an aggressive attack, speaking in a humiliating and disrespectful way. This is unacceptable behavior in any healthcare profession.

During visits, my cat was handled roughly. They were unable to give an injection because she became stressed, and instead of using proper calming techniques, they suggested sedating her. In another veterinary clinic, my cat has received injections without any sedation and without problems. This shows a clear lack of skill, patience, and proper animal handling.

What is most disturbing is the complete absence of responsibility. You must constantly chase them for results. You must push them to take action. They do not follow up. They do not communicate. They do not care.

I also cannot ignore that I was treated with open hostility as a foreign client. Whether this is discrimination or not, the level of disrespect was extreme and unacceptable.

I spent a significant amount of money at this clinic and received absolutely no solution, no diagnosis, and no real care for my cat.

This place should not be allowed to operate as a veterinary clinic. Save your money, your time, and most importantly your pet’s health. Go elsewhere!!
