Scammers.

Scammers.
Charged me 224 euro. The order failed. I recieved no order number. I can not ask for a refund as no order was made. But they still took my money. What am I suppose to do

Auto Renewal of Avast Security Premium that Avast had cancelled

My Windows 7 laptop had became my NON-Internet computer – simply for management of my spreadsheets.
AVAST! replied to an earlier email of mine that
“No refund is due as you’ve missed the 30-day Money Back Guarantee period”
But also commented “The automatic renewal for your subscription has been cancelled.”

On April 29th, I had reason to briefly connect this old W7 laptop on to the Internet in order to access some old printing software that was still linked to my (very old) printer. Purely to create a Royal Mail parcel delivery note.
Then simply switched the online button to OFF.

In the meantime, Avast Security Premium decided BY ITSELF that I now wanted to reinstate my products for virus protection, and instructed DigRiv to debit my Credit Card the full price on it’s renewal date.

But I had been assured in Avast's email that
“”Your subscription will continue through the end of your already paid subscription term, after which it will end and no further renewals will take place.””

So, how dare Digital River Ireland bill the credit card that was no longer going to authorise Avast licence renewals !!

Unauthorised payment to Digital River Ireland from PayPal.

I have had an unauthorised payment taken from my PayPal account of £1448.98. Until yesterday I had never heard of Digital River or entered into any transactions with them. Neither have I entered into any transactions for this amount of money with anybody. PayPal won't accept that it is a unauthorised transaction. How can a company just take this amount of money from someone's PayPal account?

It's a scam, don't touch them.

It's a scam. They take unauthorised payments without notice, my case through Paypal, and I don't even know what it's for, they should be investigated. I have hopefully stopped any further fraudulent charges via my Paypal account.

I ordered 2tb SSD storage

I ordered 2tb SSD storage. 3 days later, with no notification of dispatch, I phoned them. Although they’re located in Ireland, I got someone from a call centre in India. They said that there was a delay because they were out of stock but they were now processing my order. He said there was a problem with logistics when I said that they shouldn’t have taken my order if they were out of stock!!!
Don’t order from these people, they are incompetent. They didn’t even bother to let me know they were out of stock!!!

I used their MiniTool Partition Wizard…

I used their MiniTool Partition Wizard to add space to C-Drive from D-Drive.
It corrupted the Boot system of the Laptop & the Laptop will not boot up. I had to spend $350 to get the Laptop to work again.

This company is scamming you…

This company is cheating you with hidden tricks. You think ok I buy this one time to get a solution on a problem. But there is a hidden issue. You think I pay once but next year they take again money from you without any signal or mail... nothing. And try to find how to stop this, it's so hard to get a way of canceling this cheatings. Digital River shame on you!

Purchased a copy of VMWare Fusion via…

Purchased a copy of VMWare Fusion via Paypal and cannot retrieve the license key as Digital River does not recognise the Paypal transaction. Cannot find a way to resolve this on the Website and cannot find a contact phone number as their website is ridiculously difficult to navigate for end user customers.

DO NOT BUY LENOVO PRODUCTS OVER THE LENOVO WEBSITE! Customer service is horrendous if not borderline criminal!

I bought a Lenovo Laptop over the official Lenovo.com website in Germany, but apparently it is then handled by digital river. The customer service a disaster, bordering on criminal! I will never order a device through Lenovo.com again!
Problems:
- Online I could not view or cancel my order.
- On the invoice they write on the delivery date the day it was shipped instead of the day it arrived (and then they say I have not contacted them with my problem. within the two weeks, even though the laptop had not even arrived yet!).
- Digital river then referred me to the lenovo support, as they are not responsible anymore?!
- I could not cancel a duplicate order and customer service prevents me from returning the order.
- The customer service on the phone, usually takes at least 30 min, speaks bad German, is incompetent, does not open a case and does not give a confirmation of the phone call by email. Several times they just hang up without comment and you get to the feedback message!
- I cannot return my double order, my actual order has a display fault and I continue to try in vain to get a refund, repair or return!
I have been trying to solve the problem for 10 weeks and nothing happens. I must have spent over 15 hours emailing and phoning trying to resolve the issues. It looks like I will have to take legal action soon to get my money back.
I advise everyone not to order anything online from Lenovo! If anything goes wrong you are in for a lot of trouble! It is ridiculous, I thought I would go the safe route by buying directly from Lenovo!

Horrible Company. Avoid!!

If I could give a NEGATIVE 5 star review for "Digital River" and their partner "iZotope inc" I would. My experience mirrors many others here.

Customer support is virtually non existent. It takes them 6/7 days to reply to an email, and when they do they are the opposite to helpful or customer friendly.

In fact in my 40 years I've never dealt with TWO such inept, unprofessional and belligerent companies.

They DON'T DO:
* Software that works
* Customer Support
* Refunds

RX 10 Elements didn't work and they refused my refund saying they don't give refunds. I had to go to the effort of filing a charge back with my bank. This is pending.

Alex L from DigitalRiver.com is a good fit for the company culture - all kinds of useless. Refused a refund saying they have a 'zero refund policy', then I go to their REFUND POLICY page and it states 30 days. So in effect it's all lies to con people out of their money.

From what I can see these 2 companies "DigitalRiver.com" and "iZotope Inc" work in concert to SCAM anyone misfortunate enough to get ensnared in one of their checkout pages. Avoid them both like the plague.

Cancelled order, Paid, yet still waiting for refund

ordered Lenovo PC op 16/10, paid on 19/10.
After 10 days I called for an update, they said didn't receive the payment so I send proof of payment.
They acknowledged something was wrong in their system, but that the paymend was indeed ok.
After 2 weeks I get a mail, explaining my order was cancelled due to no payment recieved.
I had contact with the local manager in Ireland, and although they received the payment, there was nothing he could do except refund the almost 3000 euro. We are now almost a month later, still NO REFUND!

Only 1 star cos I cant do fractions…

Only 1 star cos I cant do fractions maybe someone from this company will see this and contact me
Bought a Yoga i7 from them in April I have had nothing but problems with it
Blue screen of death many times (3 in last 3 days)
Starts and stops the likes of VLC player/YouTube when IT wants
Trying to get the thing to come out of standby is a work of art (or a guess)
Avoid buying anything from these people I will not be using them again
Off to the bank to see about getting a charge back enough is enough
Edit: Actually found the order number and company website for complaints and refunds guess what both options give you a blank online page thats the bank sorted they will be intouch with you soon

STAY AWAY

I wish I could give 0 stars. Stay away from this site and buy your Lenovo somewhere else or not at all if you can.

I bought a Thinkpad X1 Gen7 Yoga on a deal and it arrived with faulty hinges. I called up the customer service to see what we could do about it and they offered to get me a replacement. I triple-checked while on the call to be assured that there was replacement stock and the service team reassured there was three times. After having sent it back I receive an email that my refund was processed - which is not what I had asked for. I called the service hotline multiple times and after they confirmed it was a mistake on their end, I only get scripted nonsense answers that there was no stock while you can order the same laptop on the website (of course for almost double the price from when I had bought it). I am asking myself: why can't you replace it as I had asked for originally? I switched to email as I don't have hours to waste on pointless phone calls during which no one seems to listen and then just hangs up when they feel like. It's been more than two weeks now and I keep getting the same scripted answers via email that this is being referred to their "internal team". What a waste of time and money - STAY AWAY YOU WILL GET SCAMMED. This is the worst customer experience I've ever had. After spending more than 2.5k I get treated like I'm a total idiot.

Funnily enough I also bought a bunch of add on services such as the extended warranty and a pen and when I rated those 1 star, my reviews are getting "moderated" and are not being published. Digital River should be ashamed.

I will go ahead and press legal charges against Digital River as no-one seems to care about this issue. I have been without a laptop for more than 2 weeks now and the worst is that it feels like you're talking to a wall when trying to resolve an issue via phone or email.

Bought (tried to) a Lenovo computer and…

Bought (tried to) a Lenovo computer and was informed by Lenovo & UPS that delivery would be on the 29th July between 11 & 15:00. Checked UPS site on the day and sure enough computer was 'out for delivery' At 16:00 hours it stated 'change of delivery requested' now 5th August. The following workday (1st) it states the 15th!! Not surprisingly I've emailed to cancel and the response? "Your computer will be delivered on the 15th August" despite me stating in my email (text of which was included in their response) that that was the reason for cancelling. Total joke. Don't deal with this company (and I include Lenovo) as they are a bunch of incompetents!!!
