Hello I tried three times putting in answering the questions and explanations on unemployment page. I kept getting the error 404. I ended up calling in and a lady named Dana Rowe taking my call. i explained to her what happened and she entered everything for me and went out of her way helping me. i really was surprised how patient and helpful she was. I'm writing to let anyone who needs to know what a great and helpful employee works at the ODJFS. His name is Paul, employee ID #1398. My case became an entangled issue. After trying for weeks to get through to a human being to try to straighten it all out, I waited for 1 1/2 hours, determined to get to an operator. Paul answered the phone and I could not believe the enthusiasm to solve my situation. We were on the phone together for another 1 1/2 hours! He could not have been more diligent if he tried! Just an outstanding effort to cut through my issues and finally get the ball rolling on my claim. Thank you Paul!! You are a credit to your peers!!!!

I want to share with you an exceptional phone experience I had with a person named Latreeva, who responded to a phone call made to the Ohio bureau of unemployment. These are difficult times for all of us due to the pandemic and the high unemployment effecting so many people. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient and a very pleasant person to interact with. How refreshing it is to speak with such a friendly person who herself may be dealing with stress of her own. In closing, this is the type of person who will give "customer service" a great name.

An Angel Works From Home::I was calling Ohio Department of Job and family services/ODJFS to check on my backpay claim. I was on hold for 39 minutes, then, prayers were answered by a man named, God, no, just kidding, but ultimately yes. This man is Eric Cuevas.
Whoever is responsible for this man’s well being, financial security, job security, etc, the you KEEP HIM!!! And REWARD HIM, and PRAISE HIM for his true dedication to helping others. Helping a family that has struggled financially since March of 2020. Been furloughed, TWICE, and had to ask ODJFS for financial help. This man is an angel. He spoke with me on the phone for over an HOUR! Yes, an hour, and went through the 3 weeks of backpay questions and answered other issues I had with on line submitted Claims. In person communication is the answer, it works. The system works, a big thanks to Jon Husted, Mike DeWine, and the Director of ODJFS for your tireless efforts. If you are patient and courteous and thankful, prayers and people respond in GRATITUDE and blessings are always appreciated. No words, compliments, financially beneficial rewards can meet the requirements and the success that Eric Cuevas did today. Today I spent 2 hours on the phone with unemployment . I want to say how great full I was that Saundera Bearden was on the phone with me this morning she was so kind, has great personality and listen to what I needed help with and told me how and what I needed to do right so I could hopefully get the money i am owed so I can move forward in my life for my family. Ohio Unemployment.. Kudos for caring, patience and finding solutions
This has been a very trying time for all of us during this Covid 19 crisis. I have had to rely on my faith and stir up every ounce of patience I possess in order to survive with a positive attitude. My finances and spirit has taken a hit. One problem after another but today I needed to resolve an issue with my unemployment claim leaving me no options but to call in instead of the online option. I'm so thankful that I did. I was blessed to speak with a Ms. Maxwell who took her time and patiently helped me to not only understand my case but also found problems that I would have never known was there. She called on the assistance of her Supervisor Monica Hollis who extended the same time, patience and concern. Though my particular case is far from favorable at this point I still walked away feeling some relief, and in knowing that they cared as unknowingly they helped to relieve my anxiety at such a trying time.
