Restringing service sucks
Ordered a Wilson Blade racket from them with a restringing service. It was strung with the wrong tension, supposed to be 53lbs, but it was 60lbs when arrived. Would be totally unusable, and had to return it. However they charged me a surprisingly high fee of £35 for returning (even I didn't use it at all). Will NEVER buy a racket from them again!

We are proud to have an expert team of stringers and only ever aim to complete every restring to the highest quality. It would be of no benefit to us to complete a restring to a tension different to what has been requested. Our Returns Policy does state that a charge of £20 will be deducted from a refund amount where a restring has been completed. The other £15 is comprised of the initial restringing and delivery costs, both of which are non-refundable, as well as the fee for using our Returns Label.

Ordered squash rackets, grips, balls and goggles and it all arrived the next day in good order. No delivery
Bought a hockey stick for approximately £90.
Although my order included specific instructions to leave the package behind the bins if no one was home, these instructions were not followed. We were present on the scheduled delivery day, yet the driver did not ring the bell (at least we did not hear it), and the item was never received.
After contacting the team, and a few email conversations over a couple of weeks (and having to chase), I was informed that too much time had passed to provide a resolution. First and last time I bought from Direct Sports.

Returns policy sucks
Returns policy sucks. Opening a package to see the contents means that it won't be accepted for a refund - this goes against the normal online shopping ethos. Better not to risk buying from this company otherwise what might seem a reasonable buy can end up a total waste of money. Shipping charges including the return for unopened items means any refund will not cover the costs sufficiently. This the first and last time I will buy from this company online.

Terms and conditions are a little restrictive but they are quite clear and open.
Purchased an item and paid for next day delivery. Due to a storm the delivery was delayed. I contacted the company and they were happy to refund the extra money that I had paid, without quibble.
I sent two emails to the company during my purchase and each was responded to quickly and professionally.
Very happy with the service received overall.
I would have no hesitation in making my next sports purchase from this company.

This is my first ever review but I need to warn people asap that this company is a complete scam. I have ordered a pair of trainers that came back HUGE (ordered 5.5UK), I received a shoe with written size 5 inside but actual size is 7 i was swimming in them..! I have instantly returned quoting they were too big and the company had the audacity to say I returned the wrong size and therefore cannot get a refund. I will take legal actions and never let this go until I get my refund.
