If you really don't believe all the things about her...
Trigger Warning: Team Pinata, Mentions of abusers and alleged stalking/threats, mentions of DissociaDID and Nin
At least believe this. She claimed she was being threatened/stalked by one of her abusers, so she would stop posting new videos on Youtube but keep her channel and the previous videos posted up. Anyone with a brain knows that if your abuser allegedly found her/is finding her through her social media, why not take that content DOWN? She also said she'd keep her Patreon up with lots of content and her TikTok still up, which she posts shots of her studio/house/backyard much more frequently than she does now in her videos (believe me I used to be a frequent viewer, I watched nearly all her videos before I stopped).
She also mentioned she's leaving on an indefinite hiatus. That leaves her time to come back.
She mentioned nothing about her abuser until now. Why even mention them on the internet, I'd just go radio silent and ask for help with the police/whoever else. And suspiciously does it right after receiving backlash for copyright striking SIX Grandad's Lounge videos. In case you don't know three copyright striked videos lead to termination of that channel and you can never make another Youtube channel again. Since they're false claims, nothing happened to HIM anyways. Now DissociaDID should be under review for falsely accusing him, and that's the time she decided to leave. She was also copyright striked by her ex fan Sergio in more than three videos herself (you can see on her channel) and we don't really know why or if they're valid. We can only assume they are, considering she hasn't openly talked about him, like she did to the rest of her "haters" trying "an organized attack" against her in her Valentine's day livestream. (That would be the subreddits, the only thing we did was somebody told us about her Trustpilot (as she's made her trademark of DissociaDID a business) and to leave reviews (because now her Youtube channel is a BUISINESS.) She also said "I don't know why people are leaving reviews about me, I didn't know they could review Youtubers! I don't have a business!" Yeah sure Nin. (By the way I'm not a stalker who only watches her Youtube channel for investigating, I unsubscribed to her when I found out she openly dated and supported a pedophile, if you want evidence look up DissociaDID supports Team Pinata on Youtube, and see other reputable DID youtubers say stuff about their experience with Team Pinata) I just found this livestream in my recommended.
Oh yeah, and she tried to remove a review HERE and it was found not guilty by the reviewers, so there's that. She really hates this site and harps on it's badness, but the review she chose to put under the bus is not wrong? Fishy, fishy.
Most Reviews Are Unhelpful.
Its insane to see that the link for this review was placed on a sub-reddit specifically asking people to spew awful things about her. Out of all of the DID channels I have ever watched on YouTube, they showed the most helpful information than anyone. People who are attacking her are strictly attacking her for having her own space and time. Petty things like her placing a song cover over a video of an alter who is supposed to be underage - when the video is about a girl dancing in the snow - nothing sexual at all. Things like this are surfacing that are "causing problems" but should not be taken away from the fact that DD is an amazing content creator to help bring awareness
dangerous misinformation
My fiancé has DID and I've become deeply familiar with how such a relationship works and what a person with this kind of trauma needs.
Aside from a few pieces of general advice about communication between partners, this content creator gives advice which is deeply misleading and in some cases directly opposite to the truth. It is very upsetting to watch and makes me worry for people who go in with no preexisting knowledge. On top of this, she appears more concerned with being entertaining than informative in how she presents herself. This would be fine if she wasn't marketing her videos as educational, but it seems very out of place
Makes people with DID look unstable
This channel makes people with DID look unstable. It's not good at all. They are spreading misinformation and harmful advice. Their videos encourage dissociative individuals to dissociate even more, rather than provide any information on how to get help or alleviate the symptoms. Furthermore, they dramatize the disorder. The videos present unhealthy symptoms in a very sensationalized way. This is most likely to draw in views from fetishizing singlets. DissociaDID gives off the impression that having DID will make your life bleak, unstable, and hopeless which is far from the truth.
This is my 3rd and last attempt at…
This is my 3rd and last attempt at leaving a review for this company. My previous reviews were flagged by Trustpilot's algorithm and they didn't reinstate them even after I literally showed them my Patreon receipts.
My recent experience with Dissociadid has been one of disappointment.
- Videos: their post-return videos are dull, half-hearted and disjointed. I often get bored and confused half-way through and all the sponsorships make the videos look like infomercials. Research is still problematic. It's like they do a couple of Google searches and that's it. The focus is on style over substance.
- Instagram: very few posts that would qualify as advocacy or education. Some self-help stuff and lots of self-promotion. Again, style over substance.
- TikTok: they now have an 18+ TikTok account they claim is "personal" but you see them promoting Dissociadid all the time in the comments. I feel this TikTok account is just a disingenuous attempt to promote Dissociadid through "thirst-traps". This is irresponsible because they know very well that a big chunk of their audience is underage. Plus, what they did last week to a person in distress on TikTok (implied they may have DID and told them to check Dissociadid youtube channel instead of getting professional help) was despicable to say the least.
- Accountability: still basically zero. I was willing to give them a chance after their break because they were doing some nice things like the charity fundraiser and they seemed more mature and sincere in their comments. A few weeks into their return and I realized they were back to their old tricks. Censorship is worse than in North Korea. If you say anything they don't like, you get blocked, restricted or banned. No apology to the DID community and the rest of their audience for exposing everyone to their former partner's fetish.
And now there's strong evidence that their trauma, alters and inner world were stolen from RA survivors and books on SRA and MK Ultra...
Faking Trauma
DissociaDID pretends to have DID when it is fairly obvious that she does not and is taking other people's stories and trauma to make them hers.
Misinformed
I’ll keep it short, I could easily see myself writing a small novel.
I used to be super into them. Now I’m not. Having a disorder does not make one an expert on that disorder, although DD would have you think so. They spread flagrant misinformation, exaggerate symptoms, and overall make a parade out of a mental illness for clout.
My awakening began when I tried to find even one scientific peer reviewed source that agreed with any one of a number of claims they constantly make. There are none. I suggest you do the same.
Truth vs Trolls
It’s obvious all of the 1 star reviews are a group effort to harm this person and their business. Please, ignore this scam and checkout their videos and website for yourself. I have 90% of it very helpful in my own life. I appreciate the creation of DissociaDID’s YouTube channel and how it has made it possible for more systems to discuss their own lives and disorder, as well. No one is perfect. But people are blowing up details from history. The truthful accusations have all been apologized for many times in the past. But there is a group of people who have gathered together to do as much harm as possible to DissociaDID. It’s happens a lot in the DID community, unfortunately. Hopefully, this harmful group will move on as they mature. Good luck!
DissociaDID
DissociaDID provides their sources and researches thoroughly when making the videos marketed as educational. Other non educational videos made are fun and light hearted, marketed to be that way and are just overall enjoyable.
I was a former dedicated Patreon
I was a former dedicated Patreon who paid the £30 a month tier for six months, before their mental health break. I also watched their YouTube videos religiously and sent many gifts via their PO Box. Fair to say I was a super fan.
Not once during that six month period (which I emphasise again was BEFORE their mental health break) were tier rewards fulfilled. The only updates they ever posted on Patreon were photos of postcards being posted out to those paying £100 a month or more. Even in those cases. It was only every so often when enough complaints were made.
No effort was made to pause tier rewards whilst on their break, meaning that they essentially took money for a service that were not providing. Fans were also manipulated into paying them so that they would not be made ‘homeless’
They claim to create a ‘safe environment’ for fans online. In actual fact this environment is one where fans are manipulated to an almost scary level, and what they can and cannot say is dictated to them. Anyone who dares to offer DissociaDID polite, gentle and constructive criticism or guidance, is deleted, blocked, or met with a scathing and passive aggressive response every single time.
They have also offered absolutely no Apology or explanation to the many members of the DID community (and beyond) who they have hurt over the last year.
I was one of dissociadid’s biggest and most loyal fans. I cannot emphasise enough that the negative reviews you read here are NOT a vendetta or an organised hate attack. They are truthful- every single one of them. As sad as that makes me to say. Please think very, very, very carefully before paying any money to DissociaDID
Genuine and Caring
Honestly DissociaDID has helped myself and others in my life a lot. They helped us gain a greater understanding about DID and mental health in general. I find their videos quite enjoyable, entertaining, and even soothing at times.
Despite ongoing slander I believe DissociaDID truly only wants to make this world a better place and are trying hard to make things right.
When people ask for help
When people ask for help, dissociadid should be telling them to go seek a professional. Instead, she SENDS THEM TO HER YOUTUBE CHANNEL!!! She’s not qualified and she admits she isn’t qualified but when she just sends people to her channel for help, those people are vulnerable and believe her /probably assume she’s qualified. This is HARMFUL to those needing real professional help. Dissociadid has NO education past high school... they are NOT CREDIBLE
She poses as a professional health…
She poses as a professional health provider (and only rarely mentions in small fine print that she isn’t qualified) but overall she is misleading people to think she is qualified. She is a 23 year old woman with no education trying to pose as a mental health educator based off random positivity pictures and quotes she finds on Pinterest. After enough people complained about her not being fully transparent, she deleted “educator” from her bio. She is still very harmful to people looking for actual help. DO NOT even bother looking at Dissociadid’s page
Scammer
Did not fulfill any Patreon tier rewards even before their internet "break". Content is highly misinformative, unresearched, and over dramatized.
DissociaDID and fans
DissociaDID and fans, this is not an organised attack against their system, nor is there a vendetta against them. I have seen reviews following their patreon livestream that are parroting that “organised attack” narrative that DissociaDID is spreading.
These are people giving genuine and honest reviews after being severely hurt by the misinformation this system is spreading. It hurts those in the community and is the reason that we have been asked to switch for the entertainment of someone we talk to. Nin steps all over other creators that once called her a friend, all for her own personal gain. I felt safer in this community before she made her return. Now I feel like the disorder that I live with has become a marketing campaign for follows and views and money.
Thank you, DissociaDID, for all of the pain that you’ve caused us.
Probably one of the worst DID YouTubers…
Probably one of the worst DID YouTubers out there. They spread misinformation and support pedophiles.
Not a professional and spreads misinformation
I will ignore the drama but the misinformation and outdated info that Chloe spreads is dangerous. No one should promote self dx or refer to fake and incorrect statistics. It’s concerning she is branding herself as educational
DissociaDID isn’t a good info source + alternate source recommendations
DissociaDID is only in it for the blind devotion, attention, and money. Their “educational videos” are so blended with their combos of fact and fiction that newbies to the community can’t even determine what “facts” they lay out are actually true. It’s outright flippin dangerous.
If you’re looking for education on the disorder (both DID and OSDD1) in terms of what it’s like to have it and some advice on how to deal with it and how to treat people with it and such, I suggest looking on Instagram at accounts made for that purpose run by systems who are not involved in drama. That’s what’s gotten my system a long way. While you’re at it, avoid anyone who supports R/DIDcringe / R/systemcringe, and stay away from syscourse accounts. That’s a really toxic slippery slope to go down.
DissociaDID Is Just Bad Entertainment, Does Not Qualify as Education
DissociaDID Ltd adds to the stigma and inaccuracies about DID by sensationalizing and romanticizing a serious and rare mental illness for the entertainment of teen viewers.
The company uses unscrupulous social marketing tactics to increase viewership and their presentation of what DID is, how it is formed, and how alters can present themselves is rooted in showmanship — not education.
The company has fabricated their own statistics about DID that are based on ill-informed and manipulated calculations, and much of the content the company publishes is anecdotal at best.
The company promotes long-debunked conspiracy theories about satanic ritual abuse and is sponsored by or affiliated with questionable resources that purport the same illegitimate and disproven information.
DissociaDID is arguably the least accurate and most dramatized resource for dissociative identity disorder currently available online.
Additionally, they have financially defrauded their Patrons by not fulfilling tier rewards and refusing to pause tiers during a 6 month break, continuing to collect thousands of dollars from Patrons with absolutely nothing in return — in essence, theft.
They have solicited additional funding from viewers through their YouTube channel by using manipulation and false information to obtain donations. The company does not publish complete information about how its funding is utilized and there is zero transparency between the company and its investors. Investors with questions or concerns are blocked and their comments deleted.
Any person or entity that affiliates themselves with DissociaDID Ltd. is associating themselves and/or their business with false facts, fraud, theft, and the misrepresentation and over-dramatization of an already poorly understood mental health disorder.
We do not recommend DissociaDID Ltd. as a source for factual information or education of any kind regarding dissociative identity disorder.
Their channel was and is clearly for entertainment only, albeit entertainment in poor taste about serious topics that require respect and delicate handling.
DissociaDID Ltd. offers neither of the latter in their content, leaving viewers looking for help vs. a television show confused, frustrated, and extremely misinformed.
