Absolutely disgusted with District 5 Boutique! My sister bought a dress from them, and they later said it wasn’t available. Fine, stuff happens. But then they promised store credit but suddenly closed her account. Now they won’t give her the credit or even reply to her emails! This is beyond shady and super unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs. THIS BUSINESS IS ONLY SCAMMING PEOPLE! We have contacted the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, hopefully they will stop these people from scamming anybody else!

Editing to add reply to their "reply" below: The only reason you put this reply below is to give the impression to viewers that "you are doing something about it". Do you know how many times we contacted your customer service number and how many emails we sent you? You did not help us then, you took our money and cancelled our order without any intention of giving us the product or our money back. You have our number and email address, if you really want to resolve this, you call us or email us and resolve it. This is a shady business you are running, I hope people see my review and not lose their money with you.

District 5

I purchased a gown that ended up not fitting me properly. The gown cost over $4200. I returned it and was told that, because it was a pre-order, I would not receive a refund, but would receive store credit instead. While annoying, I was fine with that. I was not, however, fine with anything that happened with District 5 from that point on.

To utilize my store credit from the returned gown, I ordered a different gown in September of 2023. Per Disteict 5, the gown was to be delivered in March of 2024. The gown never arrived.

In April, I emailed District 5 several times to inquire about the status of the order and no one ever responded. I finally connected with someone there through a what’sapp message and they apologized and confirmed that there was a delay with my order. They offered to allow me to replace the delayed gown with another gown that they had in stock, which they promised to send out right away, or they said I could wait for the delayed gown. They have a very limited stock of items, so I opted to wait for the gown I ordered.

A few days went by and then they messaged me to say that they are no longer able to fulfill any orders from the designer of the gown I ordered. This was now SEVEN MONTHS after I first placed the order and days after they told me its delivery was forthcoming. Their website and email advertisements also continue to promote pieces from that same designer. This was incredibly frustrating, but I moved on and decided to spend my store credit on another gown.

I placed another order in June, again to try to utilize the store credit from the initial returned gown. To my shock, I received a message several days later saying that my credit had expired and could not be used for any items other than a very limited number of items they have in stock. After SEVEN MONTHS of silence from District 5; after promise after promise that my order was just delayed; they have decided just to keep the over $4,200 I originally paid for the returned dress unless I take one of the small number of items they have on the hanger. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Do not under any circumstance purchase from this deceitful company.

Please avoid ordering from this website at all costs. They entice you to order through their site with big discounts and coupon codes, but never have any plans to fulfill the order or put the dresses into production. After months of waiting for my wedding dress to arrive, and countless back and forth emails with them stalling saying they were waiting on information from their processing team, we learned the order was never placed with the designer and no dress was ever put into production. We are now scrambling trying to get a replacement option in time for the wedding on top of trying to get a refund from this scam website. If their listed prices seem too good to be true, it's because they are! Learn from my mistake and order directly through a designer, it's always the safer option.

Please NEVER order from this website. They are fraud, whatever dress I've ordered from them in the past. Never came on time and never came at all. They will not return your money. They offeR store credit, which they also limit you from buying any other luxury brand dresses only what's in stock, Which is all garbage and not worth the price. The prices are overrated. You can get all the dresses they have on website anywhere else for less! The customer service sucks.
I had $5000 install credit. And I was limited from buying any other luxury brand only what was in stock.
That was not worth the money. They had nothing in my size and they said that they did me a favor by giving me store credit In other words, they would've kept my money!!!.

Perfect Glamorous Dress! This is the second time Ive been back to shop at this store and I could not be happier with my purchases. Helpful customer service answered all my questions and guided me towards picking the right size dress which ended up fitting perfectly….Classy and stylish - Love it!

I found the most amazing dress at my appointment. the staff was very helpful as they did not have my size, and was able to quickly get me one from the designer. I am so happy and will definitely shop again for my next event!

This company is a scam. You buy a dress online then find out it’s unavailable then they say they will refund u and they don’t. Don’t buy from them!

The worst experience of my life. After a month and a half, the order was pending and the charge to my card was made since the beginning. I tried to cancel and they threat with their legal team.

I recently attempted to use my store credit, which was still showing up in my account but they claim it had expired. I was trying to purchase another expensive gown from their website, and they refused to honor my store credit. They stole my money and continuously refused to give it back after several emails back and fourth. Fraud company!!! NEVER order from them.

Do NOT buy from them. Their wait times are a lie and they just take your money and never send your dress. I have proof of the 7 months of begging for my dress. Do not buy from them !!

NEVER, NEVER, purchase a dress from DISTRICT 5 boutiques. This web is a FRAUDE. I ordered a dress it was huge for me I returned the dress and I was given store credit.I used my store credit and ordered a pre-order dress, After they canceled the order I was not reimbursed. Meanwhile, I had a balance of store credit, I used my balance and I paid an extra 1300$, The dress was returned, and they gave me a store credit and then closed the account. They have scammed me with 4500$, and this case is still open If my credit card company does not solve this I will call authorities and consumers protection

This is the worst company to work with. Ordered a dress 6 months ago and they charged me but never delivered. This is a scam and absolutely horrible to work with. Will be filing claim against them. Not only is this wrong it is embezzlement and fraud. Not ok.

I ordered last week and received it in just a few days! The gown was superb and I really love it. I also got an amazing discount and will definitely order again from this wonderful boutique! Highly recommended!

I ordered a dress and was told it would ship in 3 weeks, its been 3 months! Ive been calling for over a month now and no one answere! DO NOT ORDER FROM HIM

NEGATIVE STARS!!!! THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! Their fake store address is non-existent. And i ordered my dress in september 2023. It is now may 2024 and have sent over 10 emails back and forth of their nonsense and still NO DRESS!

Bought a dress never got it delivered. After months of emails got a credit note and since then I can’t choose a dress to procede to payment at website. For days now any time a chose dress website tells me have to sign in again and again …. Making it impossible to buy. Have stoped answering emails too. They ripped me off more than 1k

i bought from this website for the fist time more than 10 years ago , i kept coming back and referred many friends .. this time they just took my money and gave me an order number and not even a confirmation email!!! ive been trying to contact them but there customer service is a joke , i so disappointed my sister’s wedding is so near . i contacted the designer directly ( the one designed the dress i bought ) they said the did not receive any thing from district5 ... and that i am the 3rd person with the same issue

SCAM!! I ordered a dress and 4 months later I found out they never placed it with the designer. They trick you pretending they are following up, to make you loose time to dispute the credit card charge.
