Good experience, no problems .

Enjoyed visit but noticed that a chainsaw which I came to buy 4 days earlier with a 20% off voucher but couldn’t because it was out of stock was back on the shelves. Didn’t buy it because the voucher expired on the day of the previous visit.

The area we were sitting in for our lunch was next to the dog area and fat one time there were six digs and one kept barking so another one joined in. One lady was putting food on the table and the dog which was sitting on her knee licked the food from the table.

The garden centre staff were thin on the ground but when found were pleasant and helpful with heavy duty purchases that I couldn’t manage.
Decided to have lunch as there was no queue waiting to be seated. I stood at the reception station leaning on my stick for approx 12 mins before being approached by a member of staff to be told waiting time for food once ordered was 30 - 40 minutes. NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Met up with a friend for a lovely chat . We had a nice coffee and a slice of your millionaires shortbread. Simply delicious

Despite seemingly a lot of staff, the service has been quite a while on recent visits. We are waiting a long time to order and then a long time for drinks and food to arrive. When served the service is great. But the food has taken a big hit too recently. Last time I had fish and chips and the batter was too hard and the fish so thin. It really wasn’t great.

Dobbies is a regular destination for myself and my wife and grandchildren. On my birthday, Dobbies excelled itself with an offer of free cakes. My grandsons loved the cakes and I appreciated the gesture. As ever the staff were very personable and helpful

A well stocked shop with lots of friendly staff to help.

Shocking level of service in restaurant, lack of staff, reduced GF options, not the cleanest!
Don’t use the toilets they are horrible!
Asked to speak to manager, she was totally disinterested

Nice shopping in Dobbie’s in Edinburgh,nice shops nice cafe excellent and different item and off course the plants now in autumn mode

The restraunt is a shambles. Ordered toasties waited approx half an hour fir the food to arrive and we were nearly finished them before our drinks arrived. They couldn't even bring a glass of tap water before the coffee and tea.

Great place but often let down by the queues in the restaurant. Always good for those special presents. Beautiful plants and flowers too.

We were in the restaurant for coffee and scones. I ordered a cappuccino which was essentially a latte, too much hot milk and little froth plus the coffee was weak barely able to taste because of the quantity of milk. The scones are very flat these days instead of soft and well risen.

Tills were down so the queues built up quickly and we had a while to wait to pay.

I find it really annoying that there are no prices on yankee candles and other stuff. No staff to ask about pricing.

I would like some means of finding a plant when I have a name. I accept it must be difficult to keep a record where all plants are as you probably move them about. If there were some screens where you could find the information, I would be grateful.
Is there some means of contacting a staff member who can answer questions?

Hi I loved the Christmas display as always it’s out standing bought some bits and pieces for Christmas

Always a Lovely Day at Dobbies. We love our free coffee every month.
It's My wee dogs favourite place in the world, he Loves going to see the Fish then the Dog section.
Staff are always very nice.
The Breakfast is a bit overpriced for what you get. But overall a pleasant experience.
