New Toilet Roll Dispensers 😡
This is strange comment I know, but I think it’s something that needs saying.
I’m a fan of Dobbies, but the toilet roll dispensers in the wheelchair accessible toilets are INFURIATING! If they have just been refilled it is virtually impossible to get anything out of them, they are so tightly packed, particularly if the users hand mobility is restricted. I’m sure they save the company a fortune, but Dobbies really should do better in this respect.
Update 02/04/2022
Thank you for the response. It’s refreshing to know that someone actually reads these reviews. I have added an extra star for this alone. As I mentioned earlier, I’m a Dobbies fan, so I look forward to an improvement on my next visit. When, who knows, another star or two may be warranted.

Customer service staff lacking customer service
Customer service member of staff was rather abrupt and unhelpful. Flowers had been reduced in garden centre, but price not registered on till, the girl on till referred to the customer.er service desk colleague, who was abrupt, unhelpful and not interested, dobbies lost the sale, when if they were actually thinking commercially, using initiative and given the sale or could have put the flowers on the tea/coffee shop tables to cheer up the place and bring a bit of spring and new life to the centre....pity indeed!!

I would have my usual 5 stars as we had our lovely tea, coffee and cakes etc. The problem was on leaving my foot caught in a pothole and I went flying resulting in me being laid up for at least 6 weeks . I have a broken shoulder, fractures to my arm, 2 cut hands 2 cut and bruised knees and a large lump on my forehead now turning purple and yellow so I won't be instore again for quite a while. The lady from Dobbies who helped with the other rescuers was very nice and the young man who pushed the chair to the car also kind. I was told the manager would be in touch but 1 week later he hasn't bothered.

Would have given a 5 star review if the tables in the restaurant were cleaned a bit quicker. Not many empty tables to choose from, after we got our food and drinks, due to them not being cleared. Apart from that, staff friendly as usual and managed to get what I went in for.
Satisfied customer
Have just bought a poly tunnel from Dobbies and then had to buy all the seed trays and pots etc to get it all going. Enjoyed the experience and very happy with everything. I also joined the club and got my Dobbie’s card. Going to need a lot of plants now.

Did have a problem lately when you included chips when I just wanted a panini. That then cost more . Didn’t understand the reasoning behind that but glad to see that has been resolved.
Thanks.

Love this place so many lovely plants unfortunately my garden just isn't big enough.
Happy, but would like a bigger range of products
Staff are always very helpful.
Shop does seem to be in a transition period, with a more limited range available. Plants are always in good condition although perhaps a little pricier than comparable places. Shop is in a convenient place for me to come. I enjoy Lakeland nearby too. Parking is good. Not been to the cafe lately because of the pandemic, but in past was a good breakfast spot to meet my friends.

Staff attitude
The staff in soft play bar one lady (she is shorter and had brown hair) need to change their attitude completely. They have no understanding of the stress parents are under sometimes and are just utter rude. Not only on this occasion on others their attitudes have been unbelievable and something needs to be done about it. Yesterday at the visit the family i was with went in first and got a table before i arrived, no one was in the soft play interms of staff and once she found her table the staff member came over to her abruptly asking if she had paid and when she realised she had for some reason had to say well i’m clocking you in now. what type of response is this, it would have taken all of 5minutes to go and pay and the reason she never paid was becuase she has two small children 2 and 1yr and trying to carry a coffee and keep an eye on the two children is very difficult so she was going to wait on me coming. This wasn’t the only time this staff member striked she ask another couple of women the shame things and then explained as above we were going to take a seat and then one of us go up and get a coffee and pay for it all at the same time. Her attitude was the same and continues talking and walking away at the same time saying things under her breath. No some people may accept this but i won’t and this is not the first time iv had problems with the staffs attitude, previously iv asked if there was any space in soft play at the till and the staff member ask the person standing next to them and the answer was a blunt no. Not even there will be space in this amount of time. She soon changed her attitude when i told my little boy that she had been rude and there was no way to speak to anyone especially a colleague. Now i don’t know if your staff are very stressed, done like the job they are doing or all have an attitude problem however i would be looking at my work force and seeing where they are best suited because it’s unacceptable especially around children. And mothers just won’t take it. As i say there is a shorter lady that i believe wears glasses and she is lovely always makes sure your okay helps with buggies getting water speaks to the kids but the rest are shocking
Great centre worth a visit
Great centre to visit has an array of goods to choose from and a few in shops to browse through as well.
Unfortunately the visit to the restaurant was spoiled by a very abrupt and unhelpful member of staff that apart everything was good.

I took my 90 year old mother to Dobbies Stirling on Sunday 9th January to allow her to spend Birthday voucher. ( this was the first time she had been out for a long time ) I also had my dog ( excited that she was also allowed)
Wandered around the store and eventually decided to grab a coffee and scone.
I sanitised at the entrance and walked to the 'Scone' area with Mum and daschund, put the food on the tray and proceeded to walk to coffee station - I took a few steps when a member of staff rushed towards me shouting that I couldn't have dog in that area! There were no signs to say where the dog allowed tables where and none to say Not allowed.
The huge queue of people turned to look at this appalling outburst, It was absolutely unnecessary. Dreadfully upset and embarrassed we left the area.
Not going back there again ..........Staff need a little customer service training at least . We recieved an apology from another member of staff and the scones free, kind, but this should not have happened in the first place
