Having visited Dobbies in Stirling I…
Having visited Dobbies in Stirling I feel compelled to write about the atrocious service we received. After a wander about the store we decided to have lunch here. We waited for some time for someone to approach us to take our order. We wanted some hot food and eventually asked if no one was serving at the counter only to be told it wasn't her area. We waited again as we were being completely ignored by the other assistant. After another few minutes and just about to give up my husband asked again if anyone was going to serve us she eventually acknowledged us. We then moved along and stood in a queue for coffee, when it was our turn to be served we gave her our order then we waited and waited. Meanwhile people arriving after us had now been served their coffee. We were again becoming exasperated! Eventually the assistant acknowledged us and said she had forgotten our order! Don't think we will be going back to Dobbies in Stirling for lunch again. Dreadful service!!!

Good choice of plants but unfortunately did not have what I was looking for.
I have always enjoyed my trip to…
I have always enjoyed my trip to Dobbies, but at the moment i am not in good health and only able to visit when someone takes me and not able to visit everywhere at the gaden centre,I did enjoy my short time thereand as usual everywhere was clean and well set out for easy access
Great help from friendly staff.
Helpful staff
Misleading offers
Offer of 3 bulb packs for £12 only applies to certain packs and not all in the display labelled with this offer which is misleading. In addition 10% discount for garden club members only applies to full price items and not items that are reduced in price. This is not clearly stated when buying membership

Stock selection very good, well looked after.
Friendly staff and good food
Friendly staff and good food.
Helpful staff, offering to take tray to our table (walking with stick) though this is variable, perhaps depending on staffing level.

Dobbies is a great place to go for a coffee on a Sunday morning and I can take my new puppy with me

Coffee experience 4 attempts at making a decaf Americano staff member was new but nobody seemed to be watching and giving her any guidance. Next the tables in the restaurant were littered with crockery. Not a pleasant experience having coffee next to littered tables!!

Wonderful selection of autumn plants
Wonderful selection of plants for autumn - good quality and reasonably priced.
Just a happy customer.
As usual the plants were excellent. But I needed some advice from the staff who were again very helpful and knowledgeable when asked.
Lovely dog friendly cafe
Had a lovely coffee and cake in the dog friendly cafe. Bought some plants, more stock and choice this time which was good.
You asked me. I am just answering!
Not this time. All the time!!!!!! You are dead expensive. You no longer send vouchers for birthdays. Very often you run out of food and your coffee is not great either. You are lucky because of you location snd it is a good meeting points for walkers. We pay membership for 24 coffees a year so why cannot get them. We we are ill, in hospital etc why should we be penalised? Are your employers not paid if they are off ill?

Dreadful
Very disappointed today. There didn't seem to be enough staff in the restaurant. There were no trays and I had to ask for one and when they came out they were sopping wet. I went for a glass of water and there were only 4 glasses left and they were at the very back and I could not reach them so because there were no staff around I had to go behind the counter to get a glass. There were 3 jugs of water, 2 were empty and the third one had very little water left in it. The two ice buckets were empty, in fact , they were bone dry so it looked as though there hadn't been any ice in them anyway. Went for soup and it was Tomato and Basil which does not agree with me. Actually I am getting a bit weary of the three soups which are on offer nowadays. Dobbies used to have excellent homemade soup but not nowadays. I had no choice but to take a scone and because I am Diabetic that was too high in both calories and carbohydrates. There were no plates for the scones and had to ask for those and they came out running in water after I paid at the till I found there were no knives. All in all a very disappointing experience. Based on today's visit I wouldn't really recommend Dobbies.

great service and staff really helpful
food was really good and afternoon tea and scone really enjoyed. staff very helpful and friendly. really close to the Kelpies (Stirling, Scotland) to stop for something to eat, there is a soft play area for the kids too. The Ayr branch is also great to visit and we have had our free coffees and reductions in the waitrose shop, and also reductions on my plant purchase when we joined the dobbies card. would recommend.
