Disappointing

We booked for a week stay the end of November to coincide with the country weekend at Tencreek. We paid approximately £600 for the week stay and took our 2 dogs with us. On first arrival the caravan smelt damp and was dusty with sand/dog hairs all over the floor. We attempted to put the heating on however the boiler stated service. We immediately contacted reception where the team sent maintenance to fix the boiler and housekeeping to clean. The housekeeper swept the floor and gave us a plug in air freshener, we were told they were booked up so couldn't move us. We decided to try and make the most of it. However the shower screen didn't close properly and flooded the bathroom, the controls were extremely stiff so turning the shower off was very hard, the temperature control sensitive that it was either scalding or cold, the shower floor was extremely slippery. The toilet continued to flush and we needed to keep pressing the flush for it to stop. The oven didn't reach temperature to cook, the extractor cover was loose and filthy. The pillows and quilts were old, worn and flat. In fact the caravan was in disrepair. Holes in doors, kitchen cupboards not closing properly, radiators rusty caravan obviously damp! After a couple of days we decided to just go home. Tencreek will not refund our stay or even a partial refund. They have offered a discount on a new booking however I would definitely not recommend staying here! We came away feeling that Tencreek want your money but offer no investment in the accomodation and customer service don't really care.

Serious child safety

Serious child safety concerns.

I have been to tencreek holiday park for the past 15 year's. Always loved going there for holidays, the area is beautiful and the locals are very friendly.
This time I went to Tencreek I caught 2 asian men mid 20s walking around the caravan site taking pictures of young children. Caught the 2 men taking pictures of my 13 year old granddaughter as she was standing on caravan steps and other children to. The shocking aspect of this was when I reported this to their office the staff did not give a dam. One of the staff a women with short hair made excuses for this happening and said their security could not find the 2 men.
I was told this by a stroppy woman in the front office. I was also told to go to the police as nothing they could do about it, Disgusting attitude.
Staff lied and said they could not find the 2 perverts taking pictures of children, even though I spoke to their security the day before and was told they have spotted them.
I loved holidaying at Tencreek for 15 years, not no more. Serious child safety fears.
2 of their staff, 2 women with short hair could not give a shit about child safety concerns.
A Stone faced woman interrupted me while she was on the phone to someone else while i was talking to another woman. She said they could not find the men, so I replied that's strange I spoke to your security and they said they spotted them.
This woman just turned her head and ignored me.
A lot of children have been attacked recently in this country by so called refugees or Asian men and Tencreek staff in the front office did no give a shit.
Never going back to Tencreek or Looe because of child safety concerns.
I would advise if you do go to Tencreek Looe caravan park do not take your eyes your children and watch out for perverts taking pictures of your children.
Never going to Tencreek again. Shameful attitudes by certain staff.
Also when I wanted to complain they did not take any information and totally refused to give me any details when I asked to contact the owners.
unacceptable staff behaviour.

Boring holiday

We stayed in a static caravan which for an upgrade was extremely basic and had no central heating, the bedding doesn’t stay on the bed as the quilt cover has no way of fastening it, the park is clean and staff pretty helpful, entertainment was boring the yellow coats even seem bored with no panache so not much chance in getting the audience excited. The seats in the clubhouse are really uncomfy. Found it really boring not many choices on the menu that are GF but when I stated that I was told there’s chicken tikka, chicken Jalfraise and a burger with no bun so the staff member actually suggested I live on 3 dishes for my holiday - laundrette is good, never used the pool as they have a booking system for it, they also have a wee park for the kids, I guess it’d be ok if you just wanted to go somewhere quiet but for those that want good entertainment or if you have allergies I’d give this place a miss, it’s also not environmentally friendly and they don’t recycle although there are bins that look like they should be for recycling but they have Waste written on them and general waste inside. there’s also no decking or decent stairs on most vans we booked an accessible van online then upgraded, but was informed on arrival there’s no accessible vans only a few have hand rails too. We also left early as we were so bored.Looe is lovely and 1.5 miles from caravan site and has a lovely beach and harbour area but if your disabled there’s not a lot to do as most activities involve walking or hiking, the boat was great though I also struggled to find food in Looe there’s a bakery called Dotties that has GF pasties but no scones or cakes when I was there and there’s one further along that does GF sweet cannoli which were delish otherwise couldn’t find anything

Our family reunion at Tencreek Holiday…

Our family reunion at Tencreek Holiday Park turned into an utterly disheartening experience due to a series of unfortunate events that I feel compelled to share. We traveled from different parts of the world with high hopes of a memorable stay but were met with a series of distressing issues.

What went wrong:

• Racial Harassment: Shortly after our late arrival, our family was subjected to continuous racial slurs from neighboring guests. This harassment persisted throughout our stay, creating an uncomfortable and hostile environment.
• Unprofessional Staff: The following morning, staff members aggressively demanded an additional £600 deposit based on unfounded complaints from these neighbors. Their demeanor was not only unprofessional but also threatening, as they implied eviction if we did not comply.
• Poor Accommodations: The caravans were in a deplorable state with bed bugs, and lacked essential supplies like pillow covers and adequate blankets for our group of 24 people.
• Health Emergency: The stress from these interactions precipitated a severe anxiety attack in my disabled mother, necessitating emergency medical services, which even the paramedics found the staff’s behavior and the racial remarks shocking.

Despite being promised a full refund by the park staff if we vacated the premises early, this promise was later retracted without justification. Subsequent attempts to resolve the matter through both the property and Booking.com have been frustrating and fruitless, with each party pointing us back to the other without taking any definitive action.

Conclusion:
I cannot recommend Tencreek Holiday Park to anyone after what was supposed to be a joyful family gathering turned into a nightmare. The treatment we received was not only far below the expected standards of hospitality but also deeply disturbing on a human level. Future travelers should be wary of staying at this location unless significant changes are made to staff training and customer handling practices.

Diabolically equipped

Diabolically equipped, maintained and cleaned caravan. Fire loose so clanks and bangs when you walk around van, cupboard door hanging loose, full height cupboard has no shelves, bathroom extractor not working, dirty curtain lining hanging down below curtain, large amounts of dirt and dust behind seat cushions, upholstery repaired poorly with sagging and non-matching material, tap drips, filthy and bent up window blinds, no hook for coats so wet coats need piling up in shower, knobs on oven worn and spin freely making controlling jets and oven temperature difficult, pan supplied large enough for one egg despite it supposedly being six birth, doors hung on wrong edge meaning to go from bathroom to bedroom one, you have to open the door to bedroom two and step in there first. Apparently, they cannot put the doors right as even though they are hung incorrectly and results in no privacy in bedrooms to correct them would invalidate their warranty. You can clearly see where priorities lie as when you arrive you will discover no toilet paper in the van but a guide advising you that if you want toilet paper, you have to pay an extra £1.99 for an 'essential pack' and the leaflets with the QR code for the food delivery to the van service have not been removed despite the facility not working. Overall appalling experience
If you are thinking of booking up here, I would do yourself a massive favour and book up at Trelawne Manor, 1 mile down the road. Absolutely chalk and cheese
