Trying to get Domain Monster issues sorted - try this!

IMPORTANT! Re: Domain Monster.com
If you - in TOTAL desperation like myself are trying to transfer your domains etc from this company and as is described elswhere (frequently!!!!!) cannot get any response from them: This is the latest information re Domain Monster. They were purchased by 123 Reg over a year ago. 123 Ref are not interested in any way to assist clients of Domain Monster and will NOT assist in any way.

One of the 2 current directors of Domain Monster (both Domain Monster directors are both also directors of 123 Reg)
is Richard WINSLOW - WHO IS THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF 123 REG :

*At 24 February 2020

Domain Monster Ltd
WINSLOW, Richard Anthony
Correspondence address
5th Floor, The Shipping Building, Old Vinyl Factory, 252 - 254 Blyth Road, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 1HA
(This is the same address for 123 Reg)
Role ACTIVE
Director
Date of birth
July 1979
Appointed on
5 July 2017
Nationality
British
Country of residence
England
Occupation
Director

However - it gets worse. 123 Reg is owned by HEG (Host Europe Group) - who in turn is owned by GoDaddy - a US listed mega web hosting company... who purchased it for 1.6 billion Euros in 2017. So, as you can see - trying to get your Domain Monster problem sorted is like whistling dixie... but - give it a try! Bad publicity is just that...

Last Point. Company (very interestingly!) shows on UK Companies House as: Nature of business (SIC)
99999 - Dormant Company
Figure that one out! Still taking my money!

Suggest that you write to Mr Winslow at the address shown and voice your concerns - like I have done!

Probably the worst email and hosting provider in the UK

Been with them for 7 years but of late their service has been shocking.

When you can actually get emails they take many days to arrive. I had one a sender send 9 days before arrive last week. I sent a test emails from another account and 1 took 48 hours to arrive, most simply never arrived.

5 support tickets raised in 4 weeks and not 1 response (both via email and support ticket). One telephone call also and the worst customer service experience ever. Still no working email, seem to have gone from a reliable provider of hosting and domains to possibly the worst and most unprofessional.

Now moving to GoDaddy my wifes domain and email been with them for years and never had an issue. More importantly the customer services actually respond and are helpful.

Avoid like the plague.

I don't do reviews, but....

I don't usually do reviews, but I am compelled to write one for Domainmonster.com as the service on e-mail over the few months to Dec 2019 has been shockingly poor, with one outage after another and delays on e-mail of over 2 weeks in some cases. Yet again, on 22-Dec I am experiencing no e-mails fro over 2 days. God only know how many e-mails have been lost in that time.

You can raise a support query but that's just a black hole.

Domainmonster used to be great until 123 Reg took them over so this is just as much a review on them.

My advice is steer clear of Domainmonster and by association 123 Reg at all costs!!!

How to transfer away from Domain Monster

I've had problems with email. I have tried contacting them by email with no response. I tried ringing the new owners 123 but they referred me back to the Domain Monster email. How have people managed to transfer their domains? I can't find out how to get the EPP code.

Do not under any circumstances deal with this company. I have had constant problems with email that has badly affected my business. They do not respond to emails and trying to get them by phone is a joke.

Brilliant for years. Now awful with no customer service

I have been trouble free with this company for years. However I wish I could give them no stars. I am wanting to renew my domain names but can not see how to change the card details. The support is non existent. I have tried emailing them and no response. I have tried ringing them on 0345 366 2467, a number I got from 123, but no answer at all. This is a broken company and who knows if my web site will go down as a result ? I am not technically minded, I do not know how these things work ( or dont work ) What can I do ?. I have just answered my own question ! I have transferred my domain name to another provider, with the help of that other provider ! I guess 123 who now own the company don't care !

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE !!!

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE !!!! Never had a problem in ten years since trying to renew my domain with them over the last two days. Email support is rubbish with any request for help being delivered to my email address during the early hours of the morning and then being told that the email has timed out when trying to open? WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THEIR SUPPORT OFFICE BASED ???? Tried numerous times calling their 0345 support help line today and being put on hold for up to 30 minutes, to then be hung up on. TOTALLY FRUSTRATED!!! Do not recommend at all.

The support is non-existent, shame on you Domain Monster

The support is non-existent. The support number listed says it has been disconnected. They are prompt in charging renewal fees but zero support. I cant reach any one for any issue related to my domains via email or phone or their ticketing system. How do you expect customers to run their business if problems related to domains arent solved?

Shockingly Bad Service

Shockingly Bad Service

I’ve used Domain Monster for a number of years now and since 123 Reg took them over it has been a downhill journey.

Email has been down for 3 days now, no response to ticket, email, Twitter or Facebook. Held for an hour on the phone and then got cut off. Rang this morning and listened to the opening hours for the weekend, before being told to email and then cut off. I can’t even get the info to transfer my account. It’s gone downhill since 123Reg took over. Oh and don’t even bother trying to call 123 either as they deny all responsibility.

Unreliable service

I have used them for 11 years to forward emails. In the early years I had no problems at all. However, since 2016 there have been at least three instances of emails not bening forwarded for extended periods. Strangely these have all occurred in September or October.
The latest took over 2 weeks to resolve and apparently affected their mailboxes also.

Shocking is an understatement!!

Shocking is an understatement!!!
I have used Domain Monster for over ten years and over the last three weeks my emails for my domain have stopped coming in.
I have spoken with Domain Monster and they have acknowledged there is a problem but are not bothered about sorting. They were unable to give me any timescales on when the issue was going to be resolved and really couldn’t give a dam.
I have several domains registered with them and will be moving all as soon as possible I cannot not have emails as need for work

Domain Monster host my important…

Domain Monster host my important personal and company domain names. For over a week now almost no email arrives at my inbox. My domains are setup for email forwarding, and they worked for many years. The the emails are accepted by Domain Monster but they are lost, they don't get forwarded to the inbox.

Service is appalling. I have contacted them several times and they have done nothing.

Avoid this company, move you domains, get the hell out of there...

Amateurs by the best

Amateurs by the best. Since one Week my inbox doesn't work at all using my different aliases. What should be a minor problem can't be fixed by this gang of incompetent technicians… This is jot the first time, but surely the last with me. Skipping to another company.

With them 10 years

With them 10 years, used to be good , now no incoming email for 5 days, emails being ignored, tickets being issued and being ignored, now been on their support number since 0900 now 0920 no response. Obviously 123Reg are running down the support. If they do this to loyal customers what will 123Reg do next when they decide to change operations or get taken over . Maybe think of using someone else . Very bad support, well simoply there is no support. Now 4th November and still recieving emails dated 14th Oct when tis began, even a simple loop back to myself took 2 days, they say it is fixed it is not.

Sincere word of thanks...

A heartfelt 'thank you' to George Budica for his prompt and professional help with my expired domain.

The consequences of not being able to access the domain would have been serious, but George demonstrated why I have been with Domain Monster for a long time - and will continue to use their excellent platform.

Thank you George, you are a credit to your organization!
