Good place. BS charges.

Me and my lovely lady stayed at this location for a week and it was both good and bad.

The good:
The location was great.
Very central and in the beautiful and walkable city, everything is within a short walks reach.
The apartment was small but the layout was good and easy to live in. Overall great place to stay for a short time.
You get a dishwasher and a washing machine, so doing laundry and dishes were a breeze.
Comes with a big fridge and a induction stovetop. So money is to be saved if you don't want to eat out every day.
It has a patio that has more than enough space for 2 people, and a beautiful courtyard with a beautiful fountain that wakes you with soothing water sounds.
A quiet place with quiet neighbors.
Struggled to get in the first time due to some lackluster instructions but the team were easy to get ahold of.

Now over to the bad, which is mostly the reason for the low score:
The apartment had bad ventilation, so moisture from the bathroom stayed in the air and airing out was difficult.
The shower we had did not fully close. So every time we showered the floor would get soaked.
There were black spots in the grout, if this is mold or not i do not know.
In hindsight i should have taken pictures of these issues and reported it to the team.
The biggest reason for the bad score however is what came after we left.
When we arrived home we got an email saying they would charge us for breaking the freezer box, which we never touched.
The damage was minimal, just a small corner of the plastic was broken off. This in any other case would be considered wear and tear.

From what I've seen in other reviews, dumb charges for no reasons have happened in the past.
I would recommend renting here, but when you arrive make sure to take pictures of EVERYTHING.

Overall the stay was amazing, just had a bit of a sour ending.

Avoid Downtown Apartments!!!!!

I perceive this as fraud. 1. I've had two stays with this company where they will make you pay for damages in the apartment that were already there upon arrival. The logic is that since you didn't go through the apartment documenting, photographing, reporting damages with a flash light, you are guilty and forced to pay. 2. I had a long-term stay with a cleaning fee included, and they demanded around Euro 150 for extra cleaning. Evidence? Oh photos of dust (pollen), unwashed W.C. (I thought cleaning fee meant that someone else than me should clean), and spots on the water tap in the shower due to the water quality in Gdansk etc. etc. For photos, se my review on Google Maps. I highly recommend anyone to avoid this company, but if you use them, spend a lot of time checking the apartment for errors, stains, things that are not working etc. 3. Once this company asked me to pay the tourist tax in cash only. All other companies have the tourist tax baked into the rental price, but not Downtown Apartments. I wonder why they want cash? 4. Note that AFTER you've booked the apartment via AirBnb you need to accept their multiple term sheets, or you will not be able to move forward, get they key codes and access your apartment. So you're making one contract with AirBnb and entering in to even one more with Downtown. 5. I've been travelling a lot in my life. I've for sure stayed more than 4 years in total in hotels and rental apartments. Downtown Apartments is my worst experience in the hospitality industry, and a stark contrast to the countless top notch experiences I've had all over Poland.
