Bought bowls

Bought bowls. They chipped. Drakes Pride 'repaired' them. They dismissed the 10-year guarantee. The bowls continued to chip.

DP claimed the bowls in question were manufactured with softer material than their standard black or brown bowls. The damage suffered was because they were BRITTLE - not soft.

Eventually, the 'repair' fell out. After legal advice, DP enabled the retailer to offer a part-refund.

The 10-year guarantee seems to just be marketing. Said bowls were breaking down in less than a season. They were never going to make 10 years.

Had they offered to replace the bowls from the outset, I'd have gone for that. Any company can churn out rubbish in error. It is how they respond that determines their worth.

In this case, they behaved poorly and from what I heard on the games circuit, it is becoming the norm.
