Dreamhost has serviced DiscussingLiberally-SaltLake.org for two decades.

We are a non-partisan public-policy study/action organization with 229 members from across the country that has made 68 policy recommendations to national and international decision makers – many of which recommendations have been surprisingly effective.

Our phpBB website currently has 2,936 posts and usually has 4,000-or-more people reading its information.

A Complicated Upgrade Made Easy

Had a complicated upgrade to take care of with a CMS that was not WordPress. They were able to complete the upgrade where I couldn't continue on and were able to answer my questions after finishing the upgrade. Very responsive and informative in the process. So, very satisfied with the service I got.

I've hosted my sites with them for 8…

I've hosted my sites with them for 8 years now. Customer support used to be part of your hosting plan. Now they charge you to even ask a question. I instead chose the chatbot customer service, and got the message, "One of our Technical Support Representatives will be with you shortly." I've been waiting 20 minutes. No signs of life.

Excellent support

I recently moved from Shared Hosting Unlimited to Dreampress 1. The documentation is extensive but sometimes confusing. Each time I asked for help, I got a prompt and thorough reply with useful information - as I have at other times too. I feel as if no matter what comes up they've got my back.

Worst company to host a website

Worst company to host a website. Never going back. The support is nonexistent and does not suit people in the UK. Very disappointed with the company and will not recommend it. Absolute cowboys . I have provided the evidence of my account . Please check, Also if you like to give me a call I put my number too. You can reach out to me . I closed my account hence you can not see it. I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with DreamHost.
They charged my credit card immediately after I signed up, but shortly afterward I received an email saying that my account was not approved and that I would receive a refund. However, when I asked them to explain why my account was rejected, they refused to provide any reasoning at all. The email I received was also quite rude and dismissive, which made the situation even worse.
To make matters worse, 3 days have now passed and I still haven’t received the refund for the amount they already charged to my credit card.
Taking a customer’s money first, rejecting the account without explanation, and then delaying the refund is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I hope DreamHost improves how they treat potential customers and handles situations like this in a more professional and respectful way.

They went above and beyond.

I had a lot of issues building my latest site because I needed to add various plugins that have not been 100% compatible. So I crashed my site a few times trying to get it right. The guys at Dreamhost went above and behind and stayed with me fixing stuff over and over. But they hung in there way beyond what their responsibilities call for and got me going. Big Thanks to everyone at Dreamhost.

Been using Dreamhost for about 20 years…

Been using Dreamhost for about 20 years now, maybe longer. Back when I was an aspiring novice in college with dreams of making a million dollar website, I built my dreams on their platforms. Their customer service has gone above and beyond to help me through countless problems, ranging from configuration issues to helping me debug communications problems with my robotics projects. Their prices have always been fair, and their service has always been fast and thorough. I can't imagine using any other service.

Amazing host and they offer free accounts for Nonprofits! wow. This has helped our music/arts nonprofit in Seattle for many years now. Hosting seems quite fast and always reliable too. Have not had any issues in the 8 or so years we've been a customer.
