This is biggest con artist company I know! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Last year hired a vehicle and they held £1500 on my DEBIT card which was released when I returned the vehicle.
This year turn up exactly like I did last year, at the Norwich branch to be told I need a credit card! I DONT HAVE A CREDIT CARD! well as you don’t have a credit card you can pay another £270 to hire the vehicle! Umm no thanks! I explained I had £1500 on my debit card that they could hold like they had the year before! But oh no it has to be a credit card! Ok the terms say credit card but i believed this to be just a typo and could be any electronic card with £1500 on AS LIKE I SAID THE YEAR BEFORE THEY HAD HELD IT ON MY DEBIT CARD!
Upon this they have already ruined my holiday as I ask for a refund of £184 so I can go else where! Ohhh no I’m not allowed a refund!!
Are they serious they think it’s ok to keep £184 when I haven’t even seen the vehicle I’m hiring, let alone had it!
The women in Norwich branch is rude and the customer service on the phone are rude!
You can not keep my money when I haven’t had a product!
Like I will repeat do not rent of this company unless you have a credit card with £1500 available to be held! Which also reading the reviews they seem to not release back.
The mistake was made because the year before they had used my debit card so when I saw credit card I just believed they would use my debit card!
I’m a single mum saved hard for this holiday and they have left me paying £184 for something I haven’t had! I will be taking them to a small claims court as that’s stealing!
AGAIN AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND A LOT MORE MONEY!

NO SHUTTLE at Norwich Airport - this is dependent on where the 1 person on the desk is when you need it. Was recommended to take a taxi by another company on returning the car - so handed over the key with no vehicle "check". Also booked the smallest car possible but was given a HUGE SUV- take it or leave it.

I was hesitant to rent from Drivalia Norwich at first due to some mixed reviews, but there was a great offer that I just couldn’t pass up—and I’m so glad I took it! I’ve now dealt with Alex about three times over the last four months, and honestly, I would give her 10 stars if I could. She is absolutely amazing and consistently goes out of her way to provide the best service possible. Alex is truly a great asset to the company. If you’re considering renting here, please don’t be put off by the negativity you might have read—there are genuinely kind and helpful people working at Drivalia. I’m already looking forward to my next hire with them!

Ordered and paid for a car online. Went to pick up and no one was staffing the Drivallia desk (it was inside a car dealership) a staff member at the dealership told us they'd gone home at 2:30. On top of that they didn't have the right car available. We had ordered a large SUV and were offered a small electric vehicle which was all they had apparently.
Spent an hour phoning them attempting to get through to customer service to refund the booking.
3 hours of our life wasted from online booking, to driving to the place and the waiting to be told there is no car.
Utter disgrace.

Booked online following my car breaking down through Argus Hire.
Called Drivalia who were the supplier, asked whether it would be ok to pick up from Motorvogue Norwich rather than Norwich airport at 4pm the previous night.
Her words were ‘there’s no point in you going to the airport for us to have to pick you up as the car will be here!’ (Seemed annoyed but that’s what I needed to know).
Booked a taxi (£9) as my car was unusable (hence the need for car hire). Arrive at 8am the designated time. Bloke working in Motorvogue (not Drivalia I hasten to add as the desk was unmanned) had an amused look on his face, fiddled on the computer and while doing so said there’s none available.
I said ‘but I’ve booked and paid for it’, he said sorry there’s none, can do next week. I was apoplectic, I had patients to see in Yarmouth that day. He then told me this happens a lot and I asked him to feedback to his managers.
I had to get the bus back and cancel my appointments with vulnerable people.
Avoid them like the plague and NEVER use third party websites!!

Booked a last minute vehicle through third party when arriving back from airport. On arrival I was told I needed a credit card with £1500 for deposit. I did not have a credit card on me so company did not let me hire a car ( English drivers must be awful if the deposit amount is that steep). Was told by lady at the counter it would be easier if I went to another hire car company so I did. She then told me to get in touch with third party website to arrange a refund and if needed would provide documentation to say why it didn't go ahead to help get a refund. I emailed drivalia to follow up today and had a rude unhelpful response from Margaret Q saying she could not help me. Office staff at Norwich are lovely and helpful, but offsite admin team are rude and useless and because of this I would not recommend drivalia.

Clean rental area, I was offered a hot drink after my delayed flight in. Would recommend and use again for sure, staff were very patient.

Great customer service, Alex and Charlotte were professional, understanding and super helpful explaining all of the options available that would support our car rental. Amazing. Would highly recommend and I will return again to hire from this branch.

Had to hire a car for a week away as my car was proving unreliable. Drivalia was by far the cheapest car hire advertised online. I booked a small basic model but was given a very nice Peugeot. Alex at the Drivalia office was so friendly and helpful making the completing of documentation and the handover easy. Would definitely use this company again.

Arrived on 1st Feb 24 - needed to rent a car to collect a friend from Luton Airport, only to realise that I had accidentally made the booking for 2nd!!
However, my advisors, Charlotte and Alex were extremely helpful, and went that “extra mile” to find another vehicle, enabling me to complete my rental and important journey!
Obviously, this took a little longer than anticipated but at least I was able to get a car so, no problems.
The rental prices are very competitive and based on the level of service I received on the day, I will definitely use Drivalia again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Very happy and no complaints so, it’s an easy 5 Stars from me!

Turned up to collect car from Drivalia and was refused car as they wanted £1500.00 deposit although we had already prepaid for the hire and extra for the insurance. At no point when ordering were we made aware of the deposit. Drivalia were not at all helpful and there is no possible way to contact carjet. If there was a no star option it would be to good for these cowboys.

Update.
Issue is not sorted. Drivalia complains team coming up with poor excuses that dont correspond with their rent terms and conditions. I am going to pass this case to Small claims court or other Consimer rights organisation.

I couldnt pick up my reserved car today because of your staff incompetence and rudeness.
I am UK citizen that needed a hired car for several days for commuting.
Person at the desk asked me for a credit card . Mine had GBP 500 limit on it, I offered to pay 1500 by my debit card or even more which was also declined (all other rental companies usually agree to that). My boyfriend offered him to use his credit card, which had GBP 10000 limit on it, that was also declined because reservation is not on his name.
We were offered to pay extra GBP 30 per day for 6 days of the rental period, when I said that it would be too much for us , could we reduce the rental period to 3 days and pay extra GBP90 , that was also declined.
We had to go to Avis office which was nearby and rented car there within 5 min without credit card or other ridiculous demands.
Please investigate this case and refund my money.
