BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. I recently purchased a vehicle from Drivetime. My sales person Brennan did not give me my full contract(which I received by email way after the fact) nor did he let me know that we actually had a 5 day or 300 mile policy return. I had the vehicle for 8 days when the engine light came on. I called Drivetime IMMEDIATELY and was jerked around for a few days about getting in for a diagnostic. Finally got diagnostic just to be told by the warranty company that's supposed to help me NO, they wouldn't fix it. I was told take the vehicle back because at that time the engine light wasn't on. I tried to give vehicle back and was told that I could surrender the vehicle but I will be responsible to pay the balance of vehicle. I still haven't had the vehicle a full 30 days yet. I am currently seeking legal advice to see what can be done because Drivetime broke the contract first. My warranty company is put there to take care of issues with the vehicle right? So for you to deny to fix a problem with the vehicle and i haven't had it for 30 days and then to take the vehicle back until the problem gets worse is not the type of people I would like to do business with. So BEWARE they are scamming good hard working people with bad vehicles and bad service.

DriveTime sells cars with tires that are dangerous to drive

I purchased a vehicle and it seemed out of alignment. The salesperson assured the 30 day warranty would cover the alignment. It turned out to be the back tires are cupping. The warranty company denied the claim. DriveTime customer relations stated the inspection determined the tread was acceptable. A condition of tires that are dangerous to drive on is ok if the tread is acceptable. They allowed someone to drive off their lot with a dangerous situation with the tires. I wouldn't recommend this car sales company. I'm going to have to put a hefty amount of money out on a car I've had less than a month

I sold cars and trucks for over 11…

I sold cars and trucks for over 11 years. Went back into law enforcement 5 years ago. Recently divorce. Credit was bad. My ex wife who is still my friend bought her 2nd car from Drivetime 3 months ago. Told me to go see Tia. The best and easiest car buying experience ever. No bullcrap. In and out with the vehicle of my choice within a hour!

Great experience

Bought a car from Chesapeake, Virginia is DriveTime. I live in North Carolina. I’ve been been working on it for a little over two weeks sales associates throughout the home process. Made everything go so much smoother very knowledgeable about the vehicles that they have on the lot. Angel help me through my whole process to make sure that everything went smoothly for me. A great experience to buy a car from greatly appreciate the help.

100% Satisfied

Tia White and Robert Bulls helped me out tremendously with my new purchase! The process was simple, fast and they explained everything thoroughly. They made me feel comfortable and made sure the car I picked was for me! I recommend 10/10! Ask for either of them specifically if you go to that location!

BUYERS BEWARE

I purchased a vehicle Nov 27, 2023. The vehicle broke down Dec 6. I contacted the person that sold me the vehicle and he stated to me that he would see about putting me into another vehicle. He then comes back and tells me he cant help me. So I contact the GM myself, who was very rude and refused to help as well. Long story short, the vehicle has broken down 7 times since november. As a matter of fact, it is broken down right now as a type. The main issue was never fixed. The whole time we trying to figure out what's wrong and why the vehicle keeps shaking, come to find out they sold me the vehicle with bad brakes and rotors. I just got the vehicle in November, I don't do no long distance driving because the vehicle is incapable of doing so, so there is no way the rotors and brakes should have been bad.. oh and guess what, the warranty doesn't cover brakes and rotors. SMH...Drivetime "encourages" their customers to purchase the extended warranty, you know why, because they know that you are going to need it because they will sell you a lemon. Bridgecrest financing is no better, I have contacted them several times as well trying to rectify the situation and still no help. All they want is your money. My truck has been sent to several different auto repair shops that honor the extended warranty, they have fixed everything but what has needed to be fixed. I have gotten a brand battey, altenator, ECU computer, annnd a transmission, still no luck. My truck still shakes til this day. I will never ever ever recommend this company to anyone. BUYERS PLEASE BEWARE. I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE AT THE LOCATION ON MILITARY HIGHWAY.

Would not recommend!!

Would not recommend!!! I have had the vehicle a month, made first payment, and already paying for vehicle repairs! I have the warranty and everything that is included and nothing is covered. Highly disappointed!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!

Miranda and the Chesapeake location was…

Miranda and the Chesapeake location was outstanding she saw me she allowed me to look at the car. She allowed me to do my own safety check. She reviewed every piece of document with me. She went over the three different down payments. She also makes sure I had insurance before I left she put on my plates. She let me test drive, I own my experience at your dealership she needs a promotion. I will be back with my family for more business. Thank you drive Time.
