Me and my son went in there in the middle of the day sun is piping hot no one is in there they took his drivers license and then told us we need to sit and wait till somebody comes to us for 10 minutes why there was no one else in the entire building when you go to a car dealership somebody comes to you at least walk you to the cars to choose why were you sitting in the waiting room with no one there

He took his time , with no pressure , honesty and integrity, found me the perfect affordable fit. Also found me affordable financing where no other dealer could . My experience was great with DriveTime in Lauderdale Lakes, FL. I worked with both Henry and Derek. If you have issues with your credit, they will work with you. If you have an issue with bankruptcy, including an open chapter 13, they will work with you. Do your research, learn everything about the car you are interested in before you buy it, including the free report they provide you with. I highly recommend DriveTime.

I bought 3 cars from drivetime. 2 of the cars I had to replace engine. It’s this latest one, the jeep,renegade that I’m not happy with. More on that in a minute. First I will say that the sales process is quick and efficient. The staff is friendly and do what they can to get you into a vehicle. I have not the greatest credit and I got approved. However I bought the jeep with 38000 miles. Is a 2017. That’s great mileage. I bought in October and put 8000 miles on it. So at 47000 miles, it starts to run very rough. I thought it was spark plugs. So I replaced. Nothing changed. So I brought to a garage. And they showed me where oil was leaking inside engine. Had to be replaced. And the extended warranty company they use, silver rock is a joke. It took them a week just to get to inspect the car. And they only are covering the engine and labor associated with it. 2500 out of my pocket for what isn’t covered. They are a joke. And the most they pay for a rental is max at 300 dollars. I will not be going back to drivetime. Car max will be my next choice. My advice, take car to a mechanic immediately as drive time does have return policy. Had I done that, I would have found the issue as my mechanic told me this engine has been leaking oil for well over 6 months.

Derek white is a good sell rep . He made me and husband comfortable, laugh , honesty , and give us different options . Even dough I'm not related to Derek. He has same last name as me and my husband that a dump up on our end . Our experience is excellent . I would tell any to come to drive time to get a car

We went to DriveTime because we were looking purchase a used car. We were assisted by Johnny Studstill at the Fort Lauderdale location. My friend has had the absolute worst experience with this SHADY EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS!!! In a matter of five days, she has already gotten two cars from them that are total lemons 🍋

Monday the 21st of November she arrived at their Lauderdale Lakes location to see the Kia soul that was advertised online. After four hours or so at the office/lot she drove off with her Kia soul. To her surprise as soon as she got a few miles from the lot the engine light went on, but she was already late for work due to the amount of time that it took them to actually complete the process since they were in no hurry. Due to her work schedule, she wasn’t able to get back to drive time to return the vehicle until Wednesday right before the holiday. On her way back to Drive Time she made a stop at Firestone to have them check out the car to see if maybe the light was because of something minor that could be taken care of. The mechanic at Firestone told her that there were too many issues, and that the car was unsafe to drive. SEE ATTACHED PHOTO. She left Firestone and went straight to Drive Time with the paperwork in hand. The gentleman she spoke to said she could return the car for a full refund or that they could get her into something else.

So, after another couple hours there, she ended up driving away on Wednesday with a Hyundai Tucson which ended up being more money down than the initial car they put her in. All day Wednesday she drove the car things seem to be OK no lights came on, no issues. Come Thursday, which is now Thanksgiving and on her way home from dinner the Tucson overheated, and started smoking. SEE PHOTOS. She pulled over let it cool down, added water and finally made it to my house after two more stops because it was closer than her house and she was afraid to drive it. So this morning she left an hour earlier than needed for work in case the car overheated multiple times! The car did in fact overheat halfway to her job, which is only 9 miles away. So, she pulled over and let it cool off and added water. As soon as she pulled into work, the car started smoking and overheated for its final time. Between her first and second job she intended to go back to Drive Time to return the HUNK OF CRAP they let her leave with this time!
When her manager at work heard what happened and saw the car smoking she decided to give Drive Time a call. They told her to have my friend return the car for them to look at it. She told them there was no way she was going to make it there and it's condition! The gentleman then told my friend that she should pay out of her pocket to have it towed back to the lot. There is absolutely no way my friend was going to pay for this nor would her manager allow her to pay for this and after a heated argument they agreed to tow it back to their lot.

What a freaking SCAM this place is! Extorting the less fortunate with the INSANE prices and still selling them worthless garbage!!

This location is just simply the best. I appreciated the customer service from the time I walked in until the time I left. It would be ashame if you’re in the market for a car and you don’t consider this business and this location.

I purchased my car on September 9, 2023 in Lauderdale Lakes. Everyone was so pleasant and so willing to help. I was really impressed. On Sunday, the engine light came on and I called first thing Monday. I was given the run around because I was called by people I did not know! I wanted to speak to the person who sold me the car. When he finally called he said oh you can return the car or take it to get repaired. There was no apology for the inconvenience. Just matter a fact, these are your options. It is now a week later and not a call to see how things worked out.
