Someone recommended Guatam to me. He said, "he won't charge you more than is necessary. He is not like other driving instructors that just keep giving you lessons, just to rip you off your money. Plus, his charge is decent. Again, he knows the route so well". All of this was true. But I would give my own opinion.
- First, it was good to know that Guatam was human, he seemed so perfect in his emotions and all. I was like "what kind of guy is this". I didn't want to be thought by a robot without emotions. He keeps to time and his word. For me, he had a tight schedule but some how was able to squeeze me in. Better book ahead of time, you may not be fortunate like me.
- His car is hybrid and relatively new, so it gives the concentration you need to focus. The car also has an added digital speedometer, so you would hardly be caught for overspeed. It also has a reverse camera to help you mark manoeuvre points like reverse parallel park; an added advantage for your driving test.
- I just wanted to pass my test, but I learned a lot about driving that I probably would never have known, as in, ever. There was no day I did not learn something new, during our driving. This is for someone who had been driving long ago. So if you are a rookie, then you have a lot to learn from him. As an instructor myself, (although not in driving), I can say that Guatam is good in two things - helping you learn to drive and helping you pass a test. As an instructor, he knows when to give you the rule of thumbs for each road and junctions to help you pass. Sincerely speaking, I didn't need to know pork pie, I just memorised the rule of thumb, but now I see its the same rules almost everywhere. There are roads you need to be on the second lane, and some roundabouts you need to position in the middle, he has obvious rules of thumbs to make you know when you are at that area.
- As for the day of my driving test, it was when I returned to the Test Centre that it dawned on me the examiner hadn't even pressed his tablet.

P.S. If Guatam assesses your driving and says you need 10 hours to prepare for the test, then please just give it 10 hours. Thank me later.

Disclaimer: Even after your test, you may still hear Guatam's voice in the background and in your head instructing you on how to drive. As if he is sitting by your side. This may continue for a while, so beware.

Hooray!! I passed my driving test today on FIRST attempt with only two minor faults - all because of Gautam. He is my first driving instructor is perfect in every way. Unknowingly he has given me the confidence that I do not have in myself. He often gives positive encouragement and helped me overcome my nerves and over-thinking. I honestly believe that he genuinely cared about all his students and is passionate in what he does. There are times when I kick myself for forgetting to do my checks or indicate correctly, and I am amazed at how he can repeatedly remind me over again and still keep his cool. He has helped me to overcome my cryptonite - the pork pie roundabout. I remember before how I would just froze and have a mental block everytime I approach that roundabout. I can now do it in a breeze, knowing which lane to take, where to look, how to indicate and taking the correct exit safely. His method of parallel parking is also fool-proof and was something I was awkward at before. He provided sufficient practical training as well as offering visual sketch on his iPad and sends information sheets for me to learn at home. Nearing the exam date, he accommodates my request to do more lessons and eased me into the test routes which I really appreciate. If you are looking for a driving instructor who is skilled, caring and devoted to his students, then Gautam is your guy. Take it from me - being taught by him is one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Now I can only hope I have made him proud :)

I have recently moved to UK and was allowed to drive car upto 1 year on my international driving license. So I have a mandatory to clear driving exams within a year's time. Unfortunately, I cannot start this process until I complete 185 days in this country and rest of 6 months is too short to close the entire process (written & practice exams). I approached Gautam to help me on practice test in 11th month. I have been driving from last 15+ years and all I needed was to unlearn the bad things and he was amazing in coaching me on the same. I strongly recommend him & Driving Innovation center.

I initially was learning with another instructor from a different company and was finding driving really difficult and had little confidence. Since switching to Gautam I found driving a COMPLETELY different experience. Due to his patience and support, he made me feel so much more confident and I progressed so much in such a short time! I passed my driving test today with the support of Gautam. I'm blessed to have such a patient, kind and professional instructor, who taught me and guided me with different strategies all the way. I'm not a smart person, but he always knows some good ways to make me understand the essential techniques. He gave me handy tips for my theory test and he showed me how to drive safely on the road. He not only teaches the skills I need, but also the right attitudes to be a good driver. He makes me think positively so that I can stay calm and learn from mistakes. I really feel grateful for his teaching. If anyone needs an instructor, I will definitely recommend Gautum.

The best driving instructor learnt me new tips and tricks, always calm, positive and collective, prices are spot on told me when i was ready for my practical unlike others, made me feel comfortable on the steering, i would always look forward to my lessons now i feel more confident thanks to gautam
Best driving instructor ever 10/10 would definitely recommend

Gautam is the BEST. I passed my practical driving test yesterday - first time with only 2 minors. He was so supportive in all my lessons, and is so kind and patient. He helped me progress at the perfect rate, not rushing things but also not having too many repetitive lessons. He always made sure I was comfortable with my progress and regularly checked to see if I had any questions. I would always look forward to my lessons and he made me LOVE driving. I feel so much more confident and safer on the road. I couldn’t recommend him more!

I must begin by saying that I have had driving instructors before him and have had bad experiences with some as well as good experiences with others but out of the 6 instructors I have taken lessons from he was by FAR the BEST. I wish I had him from the very beginning because I'm sure he would have taught me extremely well from the get go. I have attempted the driving test a total of 10 times at both Wigston and Cannock street test centers and mainly failed due to extreme anxiety that I experienced during the test( I passed the 11th attempt). Gautam taught me to not only overcome the anxiety I faced but also generally remain extremely calm when my surroundings make me feel anything but.

I have never come across a teacher as good or as caring about his students as Gautam. He is passionate about what he does and his guidance and advice is something that will help me and stay with me throughout my driving career. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been taught by him.

He always made time for lessons when it was convenient for me. And most importantly he never gave up on me. Every time I had a test available on short notice he was always very accommodating and always tried his best to make sure I was able to give the test as soon as possible. Whenever I grew frustrated with not passing (as I had been doing lessons overall for almost 3 years throughout lockdowns and the birth of my daughter), he would encourage me not to give up and he had full confidence in my abilities. He was kind and patient and generally just wonderful.

Thanks to Gautam's excellent teaching I managed to pas my driving test first time with only 8 lessons! There isn't a better instructor out there.

I was recommended Driving Innovation by a friend and I can’t thank her enough i do not understand how to deal with roundabouts.
Gautam quickly understood my anxiety and started explaining roundabouts in such a simple way that I can now do them with full confidence.
He is very patient and creates a very calming atmosphere to learn and enjoy driving. He can also be firm where needed but never angry. He has a wicked sense of humour too, which takes all the stress out.
Due to my working pattern, he scheduled lessons around it. I passed my test today with only 2 minor faults and all the credit for that goes to Gautam.
He is so dedicated in his profession and teaching you a skill for life that he would be suitable for anyone with or without any previous driving experience.
Driving should be fun....... is him motto.

I was pleasantly surprised by how many lessons were needed before passing my test and would definitely say they were really great value for money! Would definitely reccomend!!
