Professional experience and realistic expectations – highly recommended!

​Shortly after contacting the Dr. Serkan Aygin Clinic via WhatsApp, I was put in touch with Mr. Berk Cetin. He was my guide throughout the entire process, from the initial planning stages on WhatsApp to personal support at the clinic. I was very glad to have such a competent and friendly contact person who speaks excellent English. Thank you very much for that!
​Since much has already been written here regarding the general procedures at the clinic, I won’t repeat those details.
​However, I would like to address some of the negative reviews I’ve read regarding the hairline. I think some people fail to realize that Dr. Serkan Aygin is not David Copperfield; he works with the donor material available and achieves the best possible result. Some people show up with photos from their youth and expect the exact same hairline they had back then. They don’t seem to understand that a hair transplant does not increase the total amount of hair; it redistributes it.
​If the hairline is set too low, too many grafts must be harvested, which risks thinning out the donor area at the back of the head or resulting in low density at the crown. Dr. Serkan does not make such mistakes. If you want that, you’d have to go to a "botch job" clinic, of which there are plenty in Istanbul. I am well aware that you can get a transplant for half the price elsewhere, but when it comes to my head, I only trust the best.
​My surgery was virtually painless, and everything went exactly as it should. The only uncomfortable part was having to remain still for 6.5 hours, but there is no way around that—you just have to push through it!

Knowledgeable staff and organization was great. Everything was handled flawlessly with low stress for myself. The procedure was straight forward and details were simplified. I would recommend to anyone who asks. Berk was awesome at handling everything and responding to questions. I would suggest that you ask for the pain killer IV drip from the beginning.

Excellent experience, well organised - excellent staff

All in all I am happy with my experience it was smooth and everyone involved was very friendly and helpful throughout, however Dr Serkan only makes a very brief appearance and designs the hairline the rest is carried out by technicians who were all very friendly and looked after me well. There were a lot of people getting their hair transplant on the same day I’m not saying this is a bad thing but I did experience a bit of pain and my intravenous access had to be done twice and they had to call the anaesthetist to do it, also the aftercare kit is very expensive but is pretty essential and you are not told you can just buy the shampoo I had to ask and then it was much cheaper and ok. still now the work looks very clean and I’m in no pain at all and have been looked after well and I can’t wait to see the results as it is hard to comment how it will look from now. Also The place is very clean and accommodating and as of now I’m happy with the work done.

I was very impressed with my visit to Dr Serkan Aygin clinic . I saved money for years to be able to do this procedure. The clinic is top of the line so clean and I had a Team of 4 working on me for 10 hours. My lead tech name was Tugce and the work she did is incredible. Glad I choose this clinic and very happy with my experience there. I am returning in April of next year for my second session.

I recently had my second hair transplant at Doctor Serkan Aygin Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey, and once again, it was a very positive experience. My first procedure with them was back in 2019, and returning for a second time felt like coming back to a place I could trust.

One thing that really stood out to me was the team of Turkish ladies who performed most of the procedure. Even though I couldn’t fully understand their conversations, there was such a warm, friendly, and pleasant atmosphere in the room. Listening to them talk and laugh actually helped me relax during what could otherwise be a stressful experience. Their energy was genuinely comforting.

Whenever I needed anythingwhether it was a break to use the toilet or an extra painkiller they were always incredibly polite, attentive, and kind. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process, which I truly appreciated.

I also want to highlight one of the staff members, a Turkish girl who spoke amazing Polish and English. She was a huge help in translating what the doctor was explaining and made everything much easier to understand. Beyond that, she made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived. We had some really nice conversations, and her friendly and professional attitude added a lot to the overall experience.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with my second procedure here. The combination of professionalism, care, and genuinely kind staff makes this clinic a place I would confidently recommend to others considering a hair transplant.

For the two doctors that spend the entire day working: unbelievable workmanship. Can not emphasize this enough. For that team (there were more in the operating room) to be concentrated, working for so long, and delivering quality, is the reason why you need to skip the other clinics and visit this one instead.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only person that felt out of place in that regard was the woman on the 3rd day going through the treatments. She showed no interest, whilst every other person I met was very much motivated to provide top level care. To those: you made this a great experience. This was my third hair transplant, and I can honestly say that Dr Serkan Aygin Hair Transplant Clinic exceeded all my expectations. I had originally thought of it as one of the best centres in Turkey, but after experiencing it myself, I believe it deserves to be compared with the very best clinics internationally.

From my very first contact with Elif, everything was organised with precision and professionalism. Communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring. Every detail was handled smoothly from the beginning.

When I arrived in Istanbul, I was welcomed and supported by my medical advisor, Yasin, who speaks fluent English. He was polite, kind, patient, and extremely professional throughout. He explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and informed at every stage.

I stayed at the Ibis Hotel, which was very convenient and close to the clinic. The next day, I attended my consultation, had blood tests completed, and was seen personally by Dr Serkan. He presented two treatment plans and allowed me to choose between them. If I may offer one small piece of constructive feedback, I had expected slightly more interaction during that consultation — particularly a deeper discussion about my personal goals and expectations. The meeting was relatively brief. However, this was a minor point in what was otherwise an outstanding experience.

The day of the procedure is where I was truly amazed.

When I first arrived and saw how many patients were present, I was slightly concerned. However, once my team came to escort me, everything changed. From the changing room to the operating room, the organisation, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional. The operating room was modern and extremely well equipped, with large screens displaying my treatment plan and graft distribution. Every member of the team clearly understood my case.

At certain stages, there were six specialists working simultaneously — some extracting grafts from my donor areas (including beard and chest), while others were implanting. At one point, around ten professionals were in the room discussing adjustments to my plan. I was listened to carefully, had the opportunity to ask questions, and even request modifications. Every discussion was handled calmly and professionally.

The sedation provided made the entire experience very comfortable — I was relaxed and at ease for most of the procedure. The level of coordination and teamwork was genuinely impressive.

They successfully transplanted 3,200 grafts, distributing them thoughtfully and naturally. From the very first minute until the final bandage was applied, the care and attention never stopped. Even small details — such as cleaning and positioning — were handled meticulously.

The following day, I returned for bandage removal, laser treatment, and detailed aftercare instructions. I met a very kind and professional staff member (I regret not remembering her name) who guided me through everything patiently and reassuringly. The clinic offers various additional services and products, but I never once felt pressured — everything was explained clearly and decisions were entirely mine.

There was even an unexpected moment where I accidentally bumped my head while getting into a taxi, causing slight bleeding. The staff immediately brought me back into the clinic, provided first aid, and carefully checked the graft. One graft needed repositioning, which they handled calmly and professionally while reassuring me throughout. They arranged another taxi for me afterwards. Their response was swift, kind, and extremely reassuring.

Overall, the experience was exceptional. The organisation, professionalism, teamwork, and patient care were truly impressive. I only wish I had chosen this clinic for my first transplant — I genuinely believe I might not have needed subsequent procedures had I done so.
