Duchy Detectors Reviews 

Our 13 year old son wanted a metal detector for his birthday, but we do not have any experience of metal detecting. We placed an order with Duchy Detectors, based on some research. Later that day, they called me to explain that there was nothing wrong with the product we had chosen, however there we maybe some more appropriate products. They took time to explain the benefits of different products available, and how these may or may not be good for a 13 year old. As a result we changed our original order to an alternative product but from the same manufacturer. Nothing was too much trouble in facilitating this.

I took my son to the beach, so he could try it properly for the first time. Given, neither of us know anything about metal detecting, with the exception of just one hole, every dig resulted in a find. Nothing particularly exciting and definitely nothing valuable (some cutlery, some builders ironwork and the obligatory ring pulls and bottle caps), but we were both amazed at the success rate. He is now absolutely hooked.

Thank you to Duchy Detectors for all of your help and advice. Getting the right first machine has certainly given us a positive experience to starting this hobby.

Wanted a Manticore for ages, called the company having seen them on line. Got through to Nick, just so helpful and patient with my questions. Really knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I purchased a detector for my husband as he is just retired, i rang not knowing nothing and the lady I spoke to was so helpful, she explained numerous different detectors to me, all of the pros and cons to each one and I'm pleased to say my husband is so happy with his new hobby! I will definitely be using duchy metal detectors again for any bits he wants to add to his itinerary

Initially, there was a bit of a glitch, caused by a misunderstanding, with regard to my payment. When I contacted Duchy, asking why my order hadn't been delivered, they responded, explaining my order hadn't been processed, due to a mix-up with my PayPal payment.
They apologised profusely, and sent the order immediately, informing me that I would receive it the following day. (My detector did, indeed, arrive the next day!) As a gesture of goodwill, they have offered me a discount on my next purchase.
Due to all of this, I can highly recommend Duchy, for reacting in a thoroughly professional and compassionate manner. Highly trustworthy!

Ordered on Monday, delivered the following day. Excellent, no fuss service, will definitely use again. Oh, and they even threw in a carry case for the detector f.o.c. 👍

What can I say? I know nothing about metal detectors but needed one desperately as I’d lost my watch in the canal. Mick was totally superb, willing to share freely his experience and knowledge. He recommended a choice of optimum devices, followed up with great comms and - after I’d ordered - he even honoured a discount code that I couldn’t find. This is what expert shop owners do so well and should be valued for above Amazon et al. I could have listened to Mick and still ordered from Amazon (and received the device one day earlier) but Mick totally deserved the sale, so he got it. I can’t say ‘excellent service’ and ‘110% recommended’ strongly enough. Thank you so much. Businesses like this need and deserve our support. Now I just need to retrieve my watch lol.

My first purchase so didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by how fast my order was delivered and the care they'd taken in wrapping and packing it as it was an awkward shape and easily damaged. The order arrived in perfect condition...
