When will Compensation be Paid

When will Compensation be Paid? Has everyone received compensation for the recent
lack of water in the North Wales area?
We understood if you paid by Direct Debit they would reduce our bill accordingly?
Can someone contact us? Thankyou

Waste of time…

I have just returned from a few months in Europe where the water is pleasant to drink. Why is the water in Wales so full of an unpleasant taste and smell. I see from one report that the CEO is having a bonus of £300.000 on top of his high wages. Why. They dump so much sewage into the sea and collect a bonus for doing it. MADNESS.

Disgusting hike in bills

How can this company justify the increase in monthly bill for 2025/26?
It is criminal, daylight robbery.i am a single person living alone in a small bungalow who is out at work most of the time.
I think the people of Wales need to rise up and complain on mass as the fat cat executives of this company are raking it in.we have no other choice of what company to use.where are the welsh assembly in holding them to account???

Welsh water bandits

Welsh water won’t respond to this, but here it is, they have just raised my bill by £240 a year, for what kind of service???
Oh, and there CEO salary £332000 and a bonus of in excess of £300000, no wonder he’s smiling on there website, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Daylight robbery

I notice that Welsh Water don't respond to comments so this is for customers to read.
I rang Welsh Water yesterday to change my direct debit details and although l am in credit by £100+ they increased my monthly charge by around 250% for 2025-2026 even though the household use will stay the same. I did argue that it was unreasonable but it fell on deaf ears. I assume that the increase is to pay for their industry fines, their shareholders and their board directors.

I see a another bunch of crooks using…

I see a another bunch of crooks using the cost of living as an excuse to hike prices knowing in Wales nobody has choice of what water company to use. We are paying for greedy CEO's who have given themselves a pay rise for a poor service which has seen problems with leaks, pollution in the water and a large amount of people across the country left with out water but apparently the average Joe has to pick up the cost once again. There needs to be an overhaul of the utility companies in this country the are rising the population of every last penny they have and making maximum profit but not even doing the job correctly.

Lies regarding compensation.

I suffered 5days without water. Welsh Water didn't just keep the compensation but had the wrong amount and stayed quiet about it all until asked questions and so many still without compensation as promised, due to this hungry company taking it all and showering their boss with it.

This profit driven company needs investigating in similar manner to the post office scandal, as they do not live upto 'Non-for profit' and time again they keep proving they are for profit.

An Unjustifiable and Unethical Decision

An Unjustifiable and Unethical Decision

I am absolutely appalled by the way this company has handled my credit file. Without any valid reason, they decided to decrease my credit score for six years, significantly impacting my financial stability and future opportunities. This decision was made with zero transparency, no clear justification, and no opportunity for dispute or rectification.

Despite my attempts to contact customer service for an explanation, I was met with vague responses, unhelpful representatives, and an unwillingness to reconsider their unfair decision. Their lack of accountability and poor communication reflect a deeply flawed and unethical system that punishes responsible customers without reason.

If you value financial fairness and responsible credit reporting, I strongly advise against trusting this company. Their reckless decision-making could damage your financial standing for years to come, just as they have done to me. Absolutely disgraceful.

SEVEN water cuts in 2 months

SEVEN water cuts in 2 months. Our rural community was last left for days without water. No alternative water offered to anyone, not even vulnerable people on their priority list and not a penny of compensation given. Atrocious customer service and extortionate water prices. A truly dreadful company!

Had a letter last week to say they were working in the street. Work never happened on that day. Started yesterday. I have no problem with them doing the work but they have put the road closed signs right by my house which means locals can't park outside their homes. And those parked there already can't get out!!!!!!!

Water supply cut off

Water supply cut off. Got one message at 8am. Nothing since.
Called up welsh water twice. Listened to message with regard to burst pipe. This was poor quality message as could not tell wether 14 or 40 hour wait for water.
After 15mins music stopped and just a repetitious noise in background. This happened twice. Welsh water obviously not answering calls. Had to hang up again as noise was so irritating.
Really poor service. If you can text at 8 am surely you could do text again to let customers what is happening. Lousy service,/monopoly. Must do better to help all customers.

Welsh water's customer service is outstanding.

From the first call in to the completion of the work I was kept fully advised by courteous staff providing a prompt and very professional service. At a time when water companies are getting a bad press (sometimes justified) Welsh are a pleasure to work with. Special thanks to Nicola and the drains crew Phil and Lee.

Robbing gits

Robbing gits. Not for profit bullshit. I always paid for what I use as I'm on a meter, yet my rates are constantly being increased to help pay for their incompetency and inability to meet targets. External rain drains shouldn't be connected to treatment stations, how hard is that to understand.
If you want to increase rates, do it to everyone that is on estimated bills, they are usually the ones using way more water than what they pay for. Also stop taking stupid amounts of bonus from the company and invest it back in.

An absolute disgrace of a company

An absolute disgrace of a company. Called them out due to blocked waste pipe. Welsh Water failed to check the public sewer and advised that the problem was on our property. This resulted in excavation and us being in temporary accommodation for seven weeks. £10,000 claim on insurance. Guess what the problem turned out to be? A collapsed public sewer. 100% WW liability. Could have been resolved in a couple of days. WW denied all liability, fabricated events. The Director of Waste services wrote an incoherent response to our complaint. Their waste water services and sub contractors are useless. Ultimately they paid £750 compensation (you have to fight for this and go all the way through the Consumer Council for Water (also useless) to an ombudsman). Pathetic service from smug 'engineers' and useless customer services.

Always great communication on the phone

What a super customer advisor I spoke to today. Her name was Kay and she was brilliant, just what you need when you have an issue and need someone calm and collected on the other side. I’ve reported a leak and obviously that is not yet fixed BUT half the battle is won when you have someone on the end of a phone that is knowledgeable and someone who listens. Always had good communication with Welsh water staff…can’t fault them
