Harassment

We’re in a financial crisis however Welsh water insist on sending me a text message (even though they have my email which they also send a reminder) I feel that this is harassment. I have asked for my mobile number to be removed from my account but it hasn’t been done. I have also tried to block there number but it is impossible, the audacity how dare they infringe on my personal property!!!

I hate this company with a passion

I hate this company with a passion, when me and my partner move into our first property after 3 months they started demanding £800! 3 months we had lived here for! We told them we couldn't afford it so they instead attached themselves to our benefits taking over £50 a month without our consent which meant we would go days without eating. Now they are off our benefits are now telling us our debt has somehow been cleared but are now demanding payments of £18 which given the cost of living is unafforable to us, we told them this and they don't care they will just "make a note on the account". We even brought up the whole sewerage dumping incident and asked why we should even pay them at all when they're dumping illegally to which they reponded "there are lessons to be learned here". A non for profit company they claim while dumping raw sewerage into our rivers... what an absolute joke of a company. People need to stop paying them or offer them a £1 a month because they are not worth the money they are demanding.

I live on the Dyfi estuary and the day…

I live on the Dyfi estuary and the day before yesterday as the tide went out I watched a huge amount of raw sewage get flushed out to sea.A massive belt of stinking raw sewage floated past by window.
And these batstewerds are threatening me with a debt collectors agency over a debt of £7.44.
They really are the scum of the earth.
If I was pumping raw sewage into a waterway I'd rightfully get arrested.

Customer service 4115680703 Was unhappy that they got my wife who I'm her carer and I wasn't in at the time. Instead of renewing our help u tariff. They talked my wife into going on a different tariff that has cost us an extra £10 a month for over a year. After scarring her our bill would be 3 times as much if she didnt.I'm her carer and put down to deal with the bills and even listed with them to do so as she suffers extreme anxiety, depression and auto immune disease. She's on lots of medication (morphine, etc) and I feel they took advantage to get the higher tariff.

Pathetic Advisers who will not help you.

Honestly I'd give a 0
They say they are non for profit but all they care about is money and try to guilt trip you into paying more than you should.

They overcharge and blame the cost of living, we are in Wales water falls everyday we shouldn't be paying the large amounts l, I've spoken to rude and aggressive advisers who aren't interested in helping they only want to bukky you into paying over £800 for no reason they won't allow you to use the Customer Assitance Fund they refuse everyone unless your on benefits which is a joke as someone who maybe low paid or redundant will miss out on the assistance during the cist of living crisis so they expect you understand they want all your money ans refuse to help you during the same crisis.
I've spoken to a lot of people who have said the same thing, they are not helpful and they are clearly for profit when they say they aren't.

I can’t thank the men enough for what…

I can’t thank the men enough for what they did today. I broke down in Cardiff where they men were working and they helped me get the fluid for my car and my car off the road into a safe place. They personally drove me to a Halfords so I could get the brake fluid with my dog in the car and also stopped at Tesco’s on the way even though they didn’t have the brake fluid in there. The whole time they were helpful they calmed down and they fixed my car and got me back on the road Road. Thank you so much. I owe you.

Dwr Cymru

Dwr Cymru - dire company! The distress these charlatans have caused me on so many levels over 2024 is too much to catalogue. After months of finger pointing I have proven them wrong and now I am left with a pile of rubble outside my home that should have been cleared this weekend. I am so so fed up!

Sewer Blockage

Late Saturday afternoon we experienced a sewer blockage which resulted in a flood to our property. We called WW and spoke to a great customer rep who took our details and promised a MetroRod (their subcontractor) engineer would call to sort out shortly. About an hour later he turned up, cleared the blockage and got us back to normal. So, can't fault our experience. Surprised then to read all the one star reviews.

Great Staff member

Just had a very good conversation with a gentleman from Welsh water concerning my account.
He was call Garin .
He was without doubt one of the easiest and most helpful people I have spoken with concerning all my utility bills. A real asset and very customer focused. Nice one Welsh Water for having staff of this calibre and not the normal hard to communicate staff.
Nice one Garin 👍

Clueless muppets

I've had an engineer out twice now for low pressure. Couldn't even turn up on the right day, you keep sending a 14 year old "engineer " out who knows nothing !
The meter is the problem, i'll fix it myself
Unless time wasters

Very expensive bills

Very expensive bills, 80pound a month for water. I’m not on a meter, the house is vacant most of the time. Others on my street pay half. I’ve spoken to an advisor and they said it’s related to council tax!

I don’t understand! And was advised to move to a meter.

I lived in other parts of the uk and I pay 30-40 pound.

Is Welsh water really a not for profit! Definitely not for the people!

Shambles

Had low water pressure for over 24 hours. Called Welsh water was told I would receive an urgent call back had no call. Had to call them again. Then had an engineer attend he was rude made no attempts to help or solve the problem. Have tried to fill in complaints online but can only write 1000 words have tried to send an email but it bounced back. It seems your complaints process is a joke too.

1 is too generous

1 is too generous, don't allow welsh water to intimidate and harass you. Still they are unlawful in not following my communication preference, postal. They have sent another text this morning, ' call us by 5pm' What are you going to do Welsh Water.
Never give your phone details, never sign up for a direct debit, and never pay during a dispute. They are nothing but harrassing scammers.
Never click the link they send you unlawfully on a number that they should not be phoning you on. They need your permission.
This a a multi million pound company who is completely detached from the FACT that they must provide us with water. That is their lawful responsibility. They are scammers wanting to steal our money and will stop at nothing to get it.
Good thing the TRIAL is in July and I can summon them. The can not refuse the court at trial level. They informed me on 3 occassions that my neighbours needed to put their own water pipe in place. They informed all of my neighbours of this too. Still can not fnd the mains pipe. Which means I am still on a private well, but they don't care they are ruthless in their intimidation. Good thing there is an impending trial, they can answer to the judge and I will let you all know how that turns out for welsh water.....Time for judicial balance and not Welsh water so called intimidatory justice. It is in the public domain so will inform everyone of this date....I can not wait!!!

And yes! Welsh Water were taking payments for water I was supplying, which is untested and not verified as being safe for any one to consume or pay for. Years they did this knowing I am on a private well.

Good thing the neighbours were forcibly moved to the mains way down the road to evidence this. Always involve your local MP, in situations with necessities. and don't pay during any dispute but they won't stop the harrassing and intimidation. It is how they are!!! despicable Welsh Water.
Welsh Water had to trespass into my property because the water pipe that is taking them to trial is
INTERNAL...They do not service internal pipes and they are not plumbers, all they can do is to intimidate me now. It was failing and leaking and i was expected to service, repair, provide and supply neighbours with untested water for free. They don't do that but expected me to, but they profited greatly from all of my hard work!! Since 2006 I have lived at the property and since 2006 they informed me every year that I am on a private well.. I will gladly see them in court...
ALWAYS RECORD RECORD RECORD ANY COMMUNICATIONS WITH WELSH WATER ON ANY DEVICE AND IF THEY ENTER YOUR HOUSE JUST RECORD RECORD RECORD.

Would give zero or minus if possible

Would give zero or minus if possible. Assaulted and verbal abused by security guard at Llanishen reservoir, just because I asked why reservoir was closed until 9am, as no other reservoir I know of has a 7ft security fence and locked gates. Welsh Water official rolled up and was equally unhelpful
