Bought a Dyson cool fan to help with hot temperatures, especially during the night. It looks nice, is lightweight and quite powerful but it's no better than any other tower fan you could probably pick... See more

About Dyson
Dyson was founded on the idea of solving problems that others ignore; vacuum cleaners that clog and lose suction, hand dryers that are energy hungry and don't work, and hair technology that relies on extreme temperatures and cause heat damage.
Since it was established in the UK in 1993, Dyson has grown from one man and one idea to a global technology company with an ever-growing team of engineers and scientists at its core.
Today, Dyson machines are sold in over 65 countries. From cordless vacuum cleaners to air purifiers to hair dryers ; a whole new generation of technology has made its way into the hands of Dyson owners around the world.

I ordered a Dyson airwrap for next day…
I ordered a Dyson airwrap for next day delivery. It is three days late and therefore didn’t arrive by my daughter’s birthday. After three phone calls with no help or information I asked for a refund and was told they couldn’t until they had found the item.
Free next day delivery
Free next day delivery, but not even dispatched after two days
I placed an order directly with Dyson on Thursday 9 July at 3:32 pm because the product was advertised with free next day delivery.
It is now after 1:00 pm on Saturday 11 July, and the courier tracking still says they have only received the order details and have not received the parcel from Dyson.
I specifically needed the vacuum before travelling abroad, as I will be away for two weeks and nobody will be available to accept the delivery. For a £549.99 order, this level of service is extremely disappointing.
Advertising next day delivery and then failing to dispatch the product two days later has made this a very poor purchasing experience.
Avoid at all costs ordering direct!
Avoid at all costs ordering direct!
Ordered expensive product. Next day delivery. Well hasn’t turned up and still waiting. Stuck between Dyson and delivery company. Contacting customer support has been useless they keep saying I need to wait another 24-48 hours.
Dyson has now failed on three separate…
Dyson has now failed on three separate occasions to collect my faulty vacuum for repair or replacement. The first, due to input error by the call handler. I have no explanation for the second and third failures - but each time there is a period of weeks before they have another available slot for collection. Following the previous failed collection, I raised a complaint but no effective action was taken, and the issue remains unresolved.
The level of service is unacceptable. I have spent considerable time waiting in for collections that have not taken place, causing unnecessary inconvenience.
Very useless and faulty robots Dyson…
Very useless and faulty robots Dyson have. From very first day I bought Dyson spot and scrub Ai starts giving trouble. The repair is like 2 to 3 weeks. It’s look like that most of the time Dyson have that machine in their repair centre not in my house.
Please AVOID that machine is not worthy at all.
Failed to deliver
I ordered a new Cyclone V10 as a replacement for a much older model that broke. Delivery stipulated next business day. A week later and I still hadn't received my order. No email updates. When I contacted customer services they stated the order hadn't even been processed and was still in the warehouse. The call handler stated there were many orders that had been delayed. Absolutely shocking customer service. I cancelled my order from Dyson and found the same model in a well known retailer elsewhere and arranged for next day collection at a lower price. Great machines but the companies delivery system and customer service has really let them down on what is supposed to be a reliable British brand.
Dyson customer service
Dyson customer service. I bought a Dyson cordless vacuum, great product and downloaded the App in order to register the product. App downloaded and I tried to login as a new customer only to be informed the I already had an account from years ago, so I went through their forgotten password routine tried to login with no success.
Ok it might have needed time to register so I gave it 24 hours still no luck so I waited a couple of days with the same result.
I then contacted Dyson customer service and was told that the department responsible would be in contact within 48 hours, didn’t happen contacted them again to be told it could take up to 14 days. Two weeks later still no contact. This is very disappointing I will still purchase their products but have now deleted their App. Not fit for purpose.
My husband bought me a Dyson fan for…
My husband bought me a Dyson fan for xmas in 2024. In 2026 July it broke. Called as still under warranty. Nope was bought in April 2024. No it wasn't it was bought in November but how do you prove that when your brother in law ordered it. They sold it to Amazon in April and then if it needs fixing I have to repair it. Shark is so much better. This is why we stopped using Dyson and changed to Shark so much better quality and lasted. NEVER AGAIN
Dyson Missed Delivery - Not Uncommon
I ordered a Dyson Purifier Cool PC2 De-NOx Purifying fan yesterday. Delivery was supposed to be today. This morning I received an email telling me that Royal Mail would deliver it today. I checked Royal Mail tracking a number of times and all seemed OK.
At 4.20pm I received an email saying "We tried to deliver your order today but our couirer (sic) was unsuccessful.
We'll try again on the next working day".
At 4.29pm I received another email saying, "Our courier tried to deliver your order today but was unsuccessful.
Your order is now being delivered to a nearby collection point".
No delivery was attempted. I have been here all day waiting for it and am absolutely furious.
I phoned Dyson who said they will arrange delivery tomorrow.
A quick Google search shows that delivery issues are a common complaint with Dyson.
Not sure whether to just cancel it.
No stars.
EDIT: If delivery drivers have difficulty delivering items they usually phone to let you know they are trying to deliver. This happened yesterday with a delivery driver who had gone to the wrong address.
No call was received and no 'Sorry we missed you' card has been left anywhere.
I think it's quite clear that no delivery was attempted.
Would give 0 stars
Would give 0 stars but there is not that option.
Arranged for my fan to be repaired. Told they give two weeks for collection. DPD came one day late and with a box that was too small for my machine so refused to take it.
I contacted Dyson. The customer service handler, Maria, was rude and gave the impression that she really couldn’t care less. Told me she had to cancel my repair and I would have to rebook. This would have another two week wait.
I said I wanted to complain and speak with a manager, at which point she said I was therefore refusing a free repair. I explained she had never offered this and it now seemed a condition of me not complaining. It was. As I wanted to complain about having to wait another two weeks when it was not my fault Dyson sent a box that was too small, she said she could not do anything to resolve my issue. She said I could not speak with a manager.
I spoke to a chat assistant who booked a collection for the next day. I received an email confirming this only to be emailed the next day cancelling it all. I was also told that I could not speak with a manager.
I have now been asked to rebook with no idea when the date will be. Told a manager will contact me within 5 days.
I am extremely frustrated and would advise everyone to avoid.
didn't receive order of 2 fans ordered…
didn't receive order of 2 fans ordered on 20th May by this time it's over 2 weeks. contacted them to find out where they were. royal mail eventually tried to send but I was out at the time, they did leave a card and I rearranged delivery for the Friday to the local post office. went to post office to discover royal mail/parcelforce had delivered back to sender despite me organising redelivery. then discovered RM/Parcelforce had said they had tried to deliver twice before but did not leave any card so question this completely. Fans delivered to warehouse on 12th June, confirmed on royal mail/parcelforce tracking, confirmed by Dyson on 19th June they were received at the warehouse (after I phoned them up wondering when I'd receive my refund). 4 weeks later (now 10th July) these still have not been scanned at their warehouse, and I'm still waiting on my refund which is GBP990. Guy from customer service yesterday tried to tell me that the fans were still with the delivery company even though it is noted as being returned to sender. today they admitted they are at Dyson warehouse (as did guy on 19th June) however still not scanned. Disappointed with customer service (and of course royal mail/parcelforce). It is with regret that I do not recommend purchasing from this company.
I ordered a replacement part from Dyson…
I ordered a replacement part from Dyson roughly 2 months ago. Each time I called customer services I was informed they can see the order has been placed but unsure as to what the issue is - an escalation was submitted. No correspondence regarding my order whatsoever. I’ve just made a call today to be informed payment didn’t go through due to an error. I’m absolutely appalled by dysons customer service. It is without doubt the worst I have ever come across. Why did it take 2 months and a third/fourth customer representative to inform me there was an issue with my payment. Instead I have been massively inconvenienced thinking my item was just stuck in the system, only to now find out this wasn’t the case. Absolutely diabolical services
1 month later I haven't even received my order yet…
I haven't even received my order yet but my experience has been bad. Supposed to be next day delivery, DPD apparently attempted delivery but I was in all day and didn't get a call. Then my order goes off in transit, no update for weeks. When I get in touch with support they tell me it came back to the warehouse but I was never told and never got a refund. Now we're mid heatwave and the item is, of course, out of stock. When I asked for remediation all I was offered was the initial discounted price that I had availed of online. Apparently their machine could not process an additional discount. I understand that DPD is not Dyson, but for a premium retailer they should ensure their goods are delivered and that their own tracking system updates customers correctly. Their support staff should also have appropriate remediation options available.
Insecure packaging
I recently bought my new Dyson V10 from Amazon as I note that others have had delivery problems with buying direct. All okay - happy with product. I wanted the Mini Motorised Tool (not included with V10) to spruce up some furniture and decided to order direct as I wanted a 'genuine' product. It arrived by Royal Mail on time. The box was handed to me by the postie and was already open with the product visible inside. No adhesive tape had been applied to the box to secure it by the supplier. The Tool appeared to be new and unused and undamaged. It worked okay with the V10. Full marks for the Royal Mail, one star for Dyson.
They promise next-day delivery
They promise next-day delivery. However, next-week delivery seems more accurate. I placed an order on the 7th with the assurance it would arrive the next day. Yesterday and today, I’ve been trying to find out what’s going on, and they keep saying it’s in transit with the courier and to keep waiting. I checked with DPD, and they said the parcel is waiting to be picked up from the warehouse, which means it is not with the courier as Dyson representatives claim.
It was much easier to buy the product from a different shop rather than wait for them to deliver it. My old Dyson has broken down, and I really need it. Why was it so difficult to process another order and have it delivered the following day instead of being told to wait several more days until something changes? I genuinely believe nothing will change, and they will have to process a second order, meaning I will have to wait again.
RMA Manufacture Defective Item.
Purchased item but manufactured defective.
Decided to RMA due to QC under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Received QR Code cannot be scanned.
Contacted Customer Service, initiated DPD Collection, CS used wrong address.
Contacted CS again and initiated another DPD Collection, CS used the delivery address as the Collection address.
Phone Dyson CS, they explicably stated to ignore the DPD Collection address as it will be collected from my home.
I was correct, DPD went to collect from Gloucester GL2 4PA "When our driver arrived we were advised there was nothing to collect".
Contacted Dyson CS yet again, after much argument with the deliberately obtuse CS personnel, another DPD Collection was initiated and this time both the collect and delivery addresses were correct.
DPD collected and delivered the item to Dyson who acknowledged receipt and initiated Refund.
Having thought this was the end of the nightmare transaction with Dyson UK.....I received another apologetic email with another wrongly addressed DPD Collection for the item to be Returned to Dyson.
One simply cannot Adam & Eve it as to such shambolic service from Dyson UK.
I have never had such degree of despicable customer service from any other company with such recalcitrant Customer Service personnel.
Buyer Beware
Buyer beware. Ordered a CF1 fan on Monday, did not say out of stock, money taken from my account. No delivery updates. It is now Thursday. Rang customer services, someone was supposed to call back. Still waiting. Supposed to be next day delivery.
Non existent customer service
Ordered an Airwrap advertised with next-day delivery. It never arrived, and tracking showed it stuck at the local delivery depot. When I contacted Dyson I was told to wait 3-5 working days for Royal Mail/Parcel Force to investigate, nobody followed up as promised so I had to chase them.
On the second contact, it appears Dyson’s team had given Royal Mail an incomplete description the first time round, meaning the whole thing restarts with another week of waiting for an answer! Despite this being Dyson’s own error, I was told the order couldn’t be cancelled because it was with the delivery partner (which doesn’t reflect UK consumer law). Beyond frustrating. It’s Dyson’s responsibility to deliver the goods in a reasonable timeframe and they haven’t done that, so now I’m stuck waiting nearly 3 weeks, with no item or refund and no real accountability. The customer service team just go round in circles with the same script, and escalating to a complaints team apparently takes another 5 working days.
For a premium brand, their customer service approach is at odds with consumers’ actual legal rights, let alone providing a poor experience all round. I won’t order anything from Dyson again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either.
Do not expect a premium customer service
I ordered directly from Dyson expecting an excellent customer experience, but the service has been extremely disappointing.
My order was worth £640 and was purchased as a birthday gift with next day delivery expectations. Instead, I received the wrong item — a Dyson styler instead of the vacuum cleaner I ordered.
After that, the exchange process turned into a complete mess. I had to store the incorrectly delivered product at home for almost two weeks, while Dyson and DPD repeatedly failed to complete the hand-to-hand exchange properly.
Dyson support kept telling me that my case was a priority, but in practice I had to chase them multiple times myself just to get basic information. The exchange failed several times, the gifting timeframe was completely missed, and the communication was poor throughout.
After all of this, Dyson simply stopped responding to my follow-ups about how they were going to handle the situation. It has now been almost a month without any meaningful update. At this point, it feels like ignoring the customer is part of their complaint-handling process.
The product itself may be good, but based on this experience I would not recommend ordering directly from Dyson. If you want to buy a Dyson product, ordering through Amazon may save you a lot of stress, time and frustration.
