Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 236 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to navigate, often leading to prolonged issues and no resolution. People frequently encountered problems with product quality, including items not working upon arrival, batteries failing prematurely, and parts breaking within a short period, which made them question the durability of the products. The high price of the products was also a major point of contention for many, as they felt the cost was not justified by the quality or the poor support received. Conversely, some people were satisfied with their purchases, particularly highlighting the strong suction power of certain vacuum models and their longevity over many years. A few other people also felt that the customer service was helpful in resolving their issues, providing replacements or assistance when needed.

I was trying to order online the Dyson…

I was trying to order online the Dyson V11, I was having trouble with the price, it was not as it was marked at checkout. After more than 2 hours online with assistant, and 2 failed transactions. Each typed reply took over 10 minutes, still no order. Bank said it was on there end. I was escalated to another person, and I had to type in, and explain it all over. Never got an order, and they charged my card twice. Had to cancel my card and file a fraud report.
3 hours of my weekend I will never get back

I bought a Dyson from QVC about nine months ago. There’s no suction every time you use it. You have to clean it out. They make one of the worst products and I should’ve known better. They don’t belong in America selling these things that don’t work. Now I’m stuck with a machine that doesn’t work and you know what they don’t care.

Ruined Christmas

I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding a failed delivery guarantee and a series of misleading service confirmations that have resulted in me being without a Christmas gift for my wife today, December 24, 2025.
On December 20, 2025, I purchased a Dyson Airstrait from your website based on the explicit guarantee that orders placed by the 21st would arrive by Christmas Eve. Because I was hesitant to rely solely on shipping, I visited Nordstrom at the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens that same day. They had the item in stock.
While at the mall, I called Dyson support to verify my online order. Your representative confirmed my order and guaranteed a delivery date on December 24. Based on this verbal assurance, I chose not to purchase the unit at Nordstrom.
The subsequent service failures were as follows:
December 22: I received an automated delay notification. I called Dyson immediately and was told by a representative to ignore the email, as the item had officially shipped and would arrive on time.
December 24 (Christmas Eve): I received a new notification stating the item has not shipped and the updated delivery date is now January 5, 2026.
When I escalated this to a manager today, I was told there was "nothing that could be done" other than a 10% discount. This is an unacceptable resolution for a customer who proactively reached out twice to prevent this exact situation.
Dyson’s misleading information directly prevented me from securing this gift from a local competitor when I had the chance. I have been put in an incredibly awkward position on Christmas due to your company's inability to provide accurate logistics and customer service.
I expect a more significant resolution than a 10% discount for this breach of trust and failure to honor a holiday guarantee. I look forward to your prompt response.

Shocked by Dyson’s Lack of Customer Service

I returned a Dyson product using their UPS label, delivered on December 1, 2025, and yet I still haven’t received my refund. I tried contacting customer service via chat, but they were completely unhelpful and offered no meaningful updates.

It’s unbelievable that a company with Dyson’s reputation can treat customers like this. Slow, unresponsive, and frustrating – I would not recommend relying on their support for returns.

Extremely Poor Experience for Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

I ordered a Dyson vacuum at the beginning of December, hoping to have it in time for Christmas. Instead, I experienced one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I’ve ever had.

After multiple emails about shipping delays, the order finally “shipped” about 10 days later. However, the tracking number never updated beyond “label created — item not received.” UPS never had the package, and it was never actually on the way to me.

When I contacted Dyson customer service, they told me the item was being “returned to sender” and suggested I simply reorder. I’m not sure why I would reorder from a company that couldn’t even get the first order out the door. They assured me it wouldn’t happen again, but by then it was obvious it wouldn’t arrive by Christmas anyway.

I asked to cancel the order and get a refund. That’s when things got even more ridiculous. I was told they cannot issue a refund until the item is received back at their warehouse — despite the fact that:
• The package was never delivered to me
• UPS never received it
• It’s not currently at the warehouse
• I never had control of the item at any point

So somehow this “lost” package has to magically return to the warehouse before I can get my money back. I also have to contact customer service again once that happens. This entire process took about 40 minutes just to reach this point, with no actual resolution yet.

Honestly, I do not recommend ordering directly from Dyson online. Their customer service and refund process are not worth the headache. If you want a Dyson product, buy it from Costco or literally anywhere else that sells them. Ordering directly from Dyson is a complete waste of time and energy.

Incredibly disappointed

While their products are serviceable, for a “luxury” company, customer service is a joke. I was on live chat with AI and then a real person, who acted like AI again, for 30 minutes. After getting all my documents for them and sending in photos, they finally said, “oh well that’s not covered anyway”. I read through the fine print in their warranty and it is quite vague so they can argue that pretty much nothing is covered. Ridiculous. Think twice before buying their products.

I honestly regret purchasing the Dyson…

I honestly regret purchasing the Dyson V15 cordless vacuum, and I wish I had read a review like this before spending so much money on it. For a product that’s marketed as a premium appliance and priced accordingly, my experience has been deeply disappointing and frustrating in the long run.

When I first bought the Dyson V15, it worked well for about a year. During that initial period, I genuinely believed I had made a smart investment. The suction was decent, the cordless design was convenient, and everything seemed to function as advertised. Unfortunately, that confidence didn’t last. Around 14 months in, the battery began acting inconsistently and then stopped working altogether. One day it simply wouldn’t turn on or hold a charge.

I reached out to Dyson’s customer support expecting some level of meaningful assistance, especially given the premium price of the product. Instead, I was met with scripted, copy-pasted responses pulled straight from their website—information I had already reviewed multiple times on my own. There was no real troubleshooting, no attempt to understand the issue, and no sense of ownership or accountability from their support team. After several unhelpful interactions, my frustration reached a breaking point.

Eventually, I gave up and left the vacuum sitting in my garage for months, genuinely debating whether it was even worth keeping or if I should just throw it away. That alone speaks volumes about the quality and reliability of this product. Then, almost eight months later, out of curiosity more than hope, I plugged it in again. To my surprise, it started charging and worked. I briefly thought I had caught a lucky break. Sadly, that hope lasted barely two more months before the vacuum died completely again—this time for good.

When I contacted customer service once more, I was told that since my vacuum was just over two years old and the warranty had expired, my only option was to purchase a new battery. There was no acknowledgment of the repeated failures, no goodwill support, and no concern that a high-end vacuum had become unusable so quickly. Being told to spend even more money just to keep a two-year-old vacuum running felt insulting.

This experience has been incredibly disappointing. A vacuum at this price point should last far longer than two years, and customers should not be left stranded the moment the warranty ends. What makes this even more frustrating is that for the amount of money spent on a Dyson, there are many other companies that offer far better quality, durability, and customer support. There are significantly better vacuums available at the same price—or even less—that actually last and stand behind their products.

This review is my sincere appeal to potential buyers: if longevity, reliability, and real customer support matter to you, please consider other brands before choosing Dyson. I truly regret this purchase and wish I had invested my money in a company that values long-term quality and customer trust.

Dyson Lies as Standard Operating Procedure

I bought a Dyson certified V15 from Ebay. It came missing the part that allows you to vacuum the floor without being on your hands and knees (wand). I was lied to and told I could not return it, even when they sent a partial vacuum and not in accordance with the Ebay policy. I was then lied to about return shipping labels being created twice. I had to contact Ebay to step in, then I received the return shipping label the 3rd time I asked. I returned the item as instructed, provided proof of return shipping, and provided proof of the machine being received at the warehouse through UPS. Dyson acknowledged the unit was returned in writing and I would receive a refund in 2 days. A week goes by, I reach back out and I am told they are having an issue refunding me, and I need to file a dispute with Ebay, after being told I would have the refund in 2 business days. They lied to me in writing a total of 3 times, took 2 hours arguing with me that I must have misplaced the "wand" (its 36" long, pretty hard to miss), lied about the refund, and have been scumbags every step of the way. After dealing with Dyson and Ebay through 5 total calls, I am finally have an email confirmation of a refund. This is a standard business practice for Dyson. They are dishonest and do anything they can to not provide a refund for sending a partial vacuum. I will never buy anything Dyson again.

Product does not work & no one will help! BEWARE

Product does not work. Never even able to turn it on. Interestingly when you try to return a product "defective" is not an option. I filled in the online return form and got "error" 3 times, then tried old fashioned calling and was disconnected after 10 minutes the first time and the 2nd time they asked to film myself with the problem?! Tried the "Chat Box" 25 minutes in still no solution. WORST customer experience.

Dyson, Should be Dicey

I was looking at the Dyson Car+Boat handheld vac. It had a sell price of $149.99. I had a question about accessories so I initiated a chat to ask my question and show my intentions to purchase. While I was chatting they removed the sell price and the price increased to $299.99. I expressed my dismay at the fact they increased the price for which they were unwilling to compromise. In a way I feel lucky I got to find out the integrity of company before I made my purchase. Buyer beware.

Terrible

Terrible. I bought something, they charged me for it and sent me a shipping confirmation. 2 weeks later, the product hadn't arrived. I reached out to customer service 3 times. Finally managed to get a response the third time - and was told the item hadn't shipped because they didn't have in stock. And only then did they decide that maybe they should start the two-week refund process.
Just terrible. Do not buy from them.

I keep trying, I am the idiot.

I have not even used the product yet and I will likely never buy another Dyson. I have reviewed the "Pet" vacuum in the past and advised against buying one. This time, we bought our daughter an item for Christmas. She changed her mind on what she wanted and we have tried twice now to return the unopened, brand new item. We completed the return info online. You are supposed to get an email 48 hours from submission with return info. Never came. We called last week to complete the return with a Rep. We were supposed to get a return label within 48 hours. Never came. We called this AM to follow up. The return request was never placed. They also tried to tell us we could not return the item since we called four days after the 30 day mark. Well, last week was well within that 30 day mark AND they have extended returns until 1/31/2026.............we have yet to receive the return label from the call this morning.........not sure when we will actually receive the refund after shipping, but will keep this updated.

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Dyson. I spent over 40 minutes on the phone trying to schedule a simple repair for my hair dryer, and it was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with a company.
The representative struggled to understand what I was saying and repeatedly had me spell my email, first name, and last name — at least 20 times each. Even after all that, she still sent emails to the wrong address because my name was spelled incorrectly every time, so I never received any confirmation.
I tried to stay patient, but after almost an hour of going in circles, I asked if I could please speak with someone else who could assist me. She told me that she couldn’t transfer me to anyone, and all she kept saying was to “check my email,” even though I had told her several times that I was not receiving anything.
I cannot understand how a company as expensive and well-known as Dyson can provide such poor customer support. I left the call with zero resolution, no repair scheduled, and no confirmation email — just frustration.
I’m incredibly upset and disappointed. For the price of these products, the customer service should be MUCH better. I still have no idea what’s going on with my repair. As of right now I DO NOT recommend Dyson products until they fix his customer service.

If I could give them negative stars...

If I could give negative stars, it would be too many. Absolutely hands down the worst customer service, ever. After numerous emails from them about a delay, I called to cancel (six times). No one could actually resolve the problem, and waiting to speak to a supervisor - well, if you have 1 hour to waste waiting then being told to call back in 1 to 3 business days. I eventually did speak to a supervisor and was told the order would NOT be shipped (it was) and I was told that I would NOT be charged (I was). I now have my credit card company involved. I actually feel sorry for the Visa folks because they will have to deal with the fork-tongued liars at Dyson. If there are loyal Dysonists out there, and you still want to purchase a machine, do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy it online. That will at least save you some pain, but heaven forbid you need to deal with customer service for any reason. Good luck.

Fraudulent Business!!!

This company is operating in a way that is blatantly fraudulent and deceptive. They advertise a higher-end, more expensive model as “on sale,” but when you purchase it, they secretly send you a cheaper, lower-value model instead. They did this to me three different times, without any notification or consent.

The worst part? They only claimed the correct model was “not in stock” AFTER I confronted them with proof that they sent me the wrong item. Not before, not during checkout, only once they were caught. That alone says everything about their intentions.

Even more suspicious: my mother purchased the exact same model at full price (NOT on sale) and she received the correct, higher-end product with no issues at all. So clearly, the model is in stock. They simply don’t want to honor the sale price and instead use the “out of stock” excuse to push a cheaper replacement and hope customers won’t notice.

To make it even worse, one of the units they sent me was USED, dirty, scuffed, and absolutely not acceptable to sell as new. Their idea of a solution? Trying to convince me to keep the used machine and accept replacement parts for the dirty components. Completely unacceptable, unethical, and insulting.

When I requested to speak with a supervisor, they refused to escalate the issue. No manager, no accountability, no attempt to resolve anything, just more excuses and attempts to normalize what is clearly a fraudulent business practice. At this point, I truly do not understand how this company is still allowed to operate.

This is not a mistake, it is a documented pattern of misconduct:
• Advertising a premium model as “on sale”
• Charging customers for that product
• Shipping a cheaper model instead
• Only claiming “out of stock” AFTER being confronted
• Sending used merchandise as new
• Treating customers differently based on what they paid
• Refusing to provide supervisor access
• Attempting to make customers accept lesser-value items

Fortunately, I have every chat screen recorded, all emails, photos, and piece of documentation proving exactly what occurred.

I will be filing complaints with consumer protection agencies, the FTC, my state Attorney General, and any platform that allows them to operate.

If you value honesty, transparency, or even basic ethics, do NOT buy from this company. Their conduct is manipulative, deceptive, and completely unacceptable.

Dyson vacuum warranty service issues.

We purchased a Dyson cordless vacuum in August 2025. It had a problem not charging when it was placed on the charging dock. I called Dyson and was told that I had to go through myjustanswer.com to determine the problems. They said that there would be a fee which would be refunded. I was charged $65 which 3 eeeks later neither myjustanswer.com or Dyson will discuss a refund.
Myjustanswer.com determined the dock needed to be replaced under warranty. After 3 chat conversation with Dyson going over the problem 3 different times a new dock was ordered. Based on my experience I want other buyer to be aware of our experience with Dyson service
