They dont accept electronic cards
I have an electronic credit card that easirent didnt accept, so they made me pay an additional £80! This is 2022 and it's obvious to me they use that as an excuse so customers have to pay extra. In addition, I had already paid extra to have no excess at all so they shouldn't even be asking for any cards as I wouldn't be liable for any costs in case of an accident!

We paid for a Ford Focus car and got a car that could barely fit 2 people. Failure. Additionally, a £ 150 deposit was charged from us and so far no refund has been made! We do not recommend.
The place is dirty
The place is dirty. They are not clear with their contracts. There is only one over occupied customer service . Cars are filthy . Overall a very stressful and bad experience. I was also over charged and received service I did not need . I will never go back . I’m still mad I got stuck with this contract . Worst customer service experience

i had a TERRIBLE experience with the service provider - on arrival it said to call, nobody answered the call despite repeated attempts. When i finally got hold of someone I was told that they would deliver car when they are ready. I had an urgent time constraint and had to therefore hire another car at considerable expense to myself. I told the person that i wanted to cancel and they said they would - and now i see that the amount has come off of my account???? not ok at all
i did try to call the car company but was told by a VERY rude person that it is not their problem and that there is nothing they can do? Why on earth would booking.com associate themselves with this rubbish?
An absolutely unethical rental Company - AVOID!
Picked up the car with a very grumpy employee who was more concerned about leaving for the night than his job.
When we started checking the car, we found a few scratches and asked them to be put on the sheet. The grumpy employee said that there was no way we would be charged for these on return and not to worry. Only major, visible damage would be charged. It was dark, the car was almost outside and he asked us to be quick so he could leave.
Upon return, he started to pick up on the most minute scratches and told us categorically we would have to pay damages.
When we reminded him of what he had told us at pick up he said he did not like being shouted at but no one was shouting.
Customer service does not exist with this company and no decent responses despite making a claim.
The worst excuses that I have ever heard and no response to any direct question.
Stay away from this company as I strongly suspect that they pay their employees a percentage of all extras collected upon return.
I have started searching for more information on this company and my experience is not unique.

For this company It's easy to take your money for nothing. They've left me at Manchester airport pick up point for an hour, not even bothering to provide service I paid for, at all!. I have records of the phone calls I made to them, anytime I called them asking how much longer, they were making another excuses, despite their place was 3 miles away. I am in the process of recovering my £48.64, as I won't give them that for free. Paul & Nick Hanley do you actually care that your company is providing such a bad not a service?

Where do I start?? Arrived into Manchester from Shannon at 1pm due to a 5 hour delay due to a storm. Arrived and tried to ring to find out where to get the shuttle bus to their office, spent about 40 mins ringing and ringing to no answer whatsoever, my husband at home in Ireland rang and got through to tell us where to go to wait for the shuttle bus. Waited for about 20 minutes for the bus to arrive and it filled leaving us to wait for the next bus. We waited and waited for another 40 mins for the bus to return and we finally boarded the bus. Bus was full and it took another 30 mins to arrive to their office because we stopped twice at another terminal (even though the bus was full) and another stop for an unknown reason. Their office was way outside the airport vicinity possibly 3/4 miles in an industrial estate.
Finally arrived to the office and there was a queue of 6 other customers in front of us with one Person to serve everyone.
Over Hearing all the information of others in front of me I was getting a bit worried about the way Easirent do business.
Seemed to me that what people had booked wasn’t what they were getting.
Came to my turn and firstly they wanted a “deposit” of £1500 on top of what I had prepaid €88 for a 2 day rental. Plus they wanted a further £96 full insurance cover even though we had already had bought insurance. We had to pay the extra insurance to cover our insurance!! I feel that once you have booked the car you were sucked in and you had no choice to pay or you didn’t get the car. It Stinks of scammers and the staff were rude and arrogant, shouting back at other customers.
Finally after having to pay we got the car and left the office at 4pm (3 hours) after arriving into the airport.
Never again would I use this company, it’s a false economy thinking you are getting a good deal when it cost me nearly £200/€240 for less than 48hours rental.
Do not use this company as it just stinks and I was terrified I would damage the car even though it was fully insured.
Poor service
Poor service, There was no shuttle bus at the airport, need to walk in rain with 3 kids and luggage. Even after that guy at the desk was not helpful at all. Though we came from flight , had passport, driving licence and utility bills, he was asking for 2 more address proofs. Even after that I was asked to leave the queue two times as he was not willing to serve. That took almost an hour, my family had to suffer due to his callous and irresponsible behaviour. Can not recommend this poor service. Never going back to them.
Duplicitous and underhand
I picked up a car from Easirent after a gruelling 14 hour flight from Singapore. I told the woman at the counter that I did not need insurance as I had already purchased my own excess insurance. She proceeded with the car rental and I signed the electronic box without real concentration. She said that she would email me the contract rather than printing the contract out and me signing it in a transparent way. When I got to my destination I read the email which stated that I had paid for full insurance. I immediately rang them, but their response was tough luck, you signed. I feel very angry about this and feel that their underhand, duplicitous way of dealing with customers takes advantage of people who have had very long flights and just want to get their car and get off to their destination. I will never be using them again.

Avoid this car rental company if you can. They are misleading and unethical and take advantage of foreign travelers. Traveling from the US to the UK in October I rented a vehicle through them. It was clearly indicated in the quote that the fee included insurance. We paid in full and left for England thinking everything was in order. Upon arrival I went to the location in Manchester. I was told I would have to pay an additional 957 GBP for insurance. I explained that the quote clearly stated that it was included. There was no full explanation but a vague indication that the additional fee would be refunded when I returned the car undamaged - which I did. Well, no more damage that the poor thing already had as it had sever dents, scratches and long gouges along the sides. Nevertheless, none of that damage was incurred while I was driving it. When I returned the vehicle in December I tried to reason with the manager about the addition insurance coverage. He explained to me that this fee was charged only to US and Canadian drivers and that the extra insurance charge would not show up on their site if we booked in our perspective countries. He did say that if I could prove that the quote stated insurance was covered that he would refund it. I had someone in the US get on-line as though they were making a booking and send me the screenshot. It clearly shows insurance is covered. I forwarded this to the manager a few hours later and still have heard nothing. I tried to reason with their customer service and just found out that since my booking is complete, they will not refund me the addition cost. This is fraudulent in every possible way. They clearly take advantage for foreign travelers. What are you supposed to do once you get there and realize their unethical additional charge? Shameful. I would never recommend this business - ever. I gave them a chance to make it right but they have made it clear they do not intend to be decent and courteous and to do the right thing. I will seek further action as no one should ever be deceived in this way.

This is a fraudulent company. Don’t walk run away from this company. I booked my reservation through Priceline for a car for a Total UK pounds 499. The Priceline clearly stated that it will be charged at the counter at the time of rental car pickup. In addition I selected an option to possibly add car seat and navigation which again they said will be available at the counter and they provided no idea about the cost. So all I had was a reservation and no guarantee of payment. When I reached the office the reception guy said it will cost me uk pounds 1200 for the car rental and uk pounds 1700 for car insurance. I informed that I had already purchased car rental insurance through Priceline but they said it does not matter I will have to still pay 1700 pounds. I was surprised as I have never been charged such an exorbitant amount for renting a car. He said in total it would be 3000 pounds. I said I won’t like to proceed. Then this guy says nothing can be done now and that he will not be able to refund!! They are scamsters stay away

All in caps to get the point across. If you have a rental with them but have not collected it then walk away. honestly people it will be cheaper to lose the £100 or so rental.
Turn up at the office and everyone in the queue are being hit up for "damages" they rent you some 2-4 year old cars so if you arent careful you will get hit up for it. I didnt get asked for any damages but i have also never seen anyone being asked to cover damages before so a queue of 3 people all with the same issue stands out.
If you dont have a credit card expect to have to take out their insurance which will be more than the rental cost
Now they have hit me with an admin fee of £55 2 months after my rental. I'll dispute it on my card but thats not the point
a £100 rental for 3 days ended up costing me £375. i could have gone to one of the major players and gotten a 2 seater sports car for little more.
i will never use their company again.
