Not worth the hassle - Stay away or get hurt!

I’ve recently used Easistore to store my luxury bed. From the initial checking in experience till checkout, it has been horrible. 2 weeks ago, I contacted them to state I would checkout on the 15/08/22. The manager insisted that I failed to meet their 2 weeks notice period less 1 day. This resulted in a heated argument in which I asserted that it was NOT made clear what the check out notice period was! All I was told was that I should give them a call before my rental period elapsed to either extend or end it. I felt they where just a bunch of cowboys seeking to reap of unsuspecting public of their money. I told them I would not pay and they could not overcharged me as I called them to clarify and advise on moving my stuff. In my opinion, customer service is non existent there. I told them I hated ever doing business with them and hope never to see them in any future business dealings! I checked out on the 15/08/22 and to my disbelief, they were trying to short change me of my deposit by £10 stating it is a padlock charge. I was never sold a brand new padlock. I was just one given from under the counter to use. I challenged the manager in a written response and they have not replied. I am yet to receive my security deposit back and as it stands, it will trigger legal proceedings in the coming weeks as I have instructed my solicitor to proceed after the cooling off time passes. How dare they treat customers like this!? You are better off using Big Yellow down the road. They are as transparent as a business can be. They even advised me that I would get refunded for unused days/weeks if I check out early! I wished I explored them (Easistore) earlier and saved myself all this ill-forsaken grief! Easistore needs a complete overhaul if they wish to restore their image. I have only used them 1x and that has been enough to give a terrible impression of the overall brand! Definitely not recommended. My advice? Stay away!

Room For Improvement

Overcharged then undercharged, and arrogant attitude from the assistant manager in response!

Have unfortunately had to use Easistore due to a house moving chain being broken.

If you too choose this company then expect to receive invoices overcharging you for dates you didn’t use, and then undercharging when the company tries and fails to correct this. All with the added bonus of rude staff attitude towards customers when you ask what is going on!

I queried the charges with the assistant manager when I checked out, as I was told I was being charged an extra day. The arrogant response was “I think it’s pretty obvious why you’re being charged”.....was it that obvious if it had to be raised in the first place?

It turns out they had originally overcharged me, then undercharged me by a day due to an admin error on their side by apparently not understanding the phrase “the last day of occupancy will be XXXX”. Not an issue in itself in me paying for storage time I used, but very poor attitude from staff considering that the undercharge was due to their error in the first place!

I then receive another invoice charging me for 2 weeks of storage, for time after I have checked out? Staff response: “that’s just how the system works”.

Well clearly the system doesn’t work very well, if it produces inaccurate invoices which leave customers at risk of overpaying hundreds of pounds per month.

At best this is an outdated invoice system which is not fit for purpose, at worst this is deliberately set up to catch people out who don’t bother checking their bills by overcharging.

This would have been a 4 or 5 star review had this company had a proper invoice system, and staff had proper customer services training.

Room for improvement.
